This even really made me like dorothy way more than i thought. Also her threat with Oswald made me pause the video and had to take a few deeo breaths because Hot DAMN her Eng VA sounded so menacing😅.
The moment she realized that her squad was always meant to kept away from getting in the Ark, is when she snapped. It's sad she became insane after all that happened. First the loss of Pinne then she got robbed of her wish to enter the Ark and be honored. This event explained how Snow White and and her squad were living in the surface all this time. Still fulfilling the goal after leaving the outpost. Still l'd love to hear how Ludmilla and Alice ended up there too. I love this event and told the story set before the beginning of the game. Kudos to the devs. Now we know why the game is called Goddess of Victory. But man, hearing Dorothy break down every time still hits me in the feels. Especially when she had to kill Pinne from corruption.
To note a thing in both EN, JP, and KR dubbing, Pinne's final voiceline "What are you waiting for? Hurry up and go!" Is without echo. Remember what Dorothy said to Rapunzel? "You don't hear the dead, you just hear what you want to hear." That line was not a simple one. Followed up by Rapunzel later "hearing" their memories from the souls. Feels incoming, but unlike the times Dorothy was just listening to her version of Pinne telling her what she wanted to hear, that was legitimately the real Pinne, telling her what she NEEDED to hear. Even for a moment, its all Dorothy needed to move on.
The Ark is a flat out totalitarian regime. I’ve recognized that from the beginning. The Central Government doesn’t want to reclaim the surface, they want to hold the status quo and keep their power.
Before this event I didn't liked her (Dorothy) bc I thought she was just a mean girl that didn't like humanity for some silly reason, but after this.. I think she's one of my favorites of all
Not trying to be a disrespectful, but how do you assume that. Even before this particular event, the story clearly paints the ark as a bad place for Nikkes and outer rim citizens. Especially in chapter 19/20, they say they formed Eden specifically because the Ark treated them badly and aren’t focusing on the real threats. Their characters are inexplicably tied to how the Ark treated them.
@@corydk4834 I thought it could be a silly reason bc we didn't had any story about the first invasion or the Ark's formation so I didn't think they had been literally abandoned and left to die by humanity, bc they where the best Nikke squad ever created, I didn't think people running the Ark would be that dumb and idiot, but as we had seen humans can be dumber than we think. So I just thought Dorothy hated humans bc they're fragile and weak creatures compared to Nikkes or something like that.

Rapture are bio Robotic aliens. And they start to take earth animals features. Wonder what was the first invasion like and who was the first leaders because their wasn’t any heretics yet.
So many things were addressed thanks to this story. Dorothy's convictions & motivations, traces of Scarlet's personal history (her having a sister makes so much sense given her source material. Sister's name is probably gunna be "Rose" if she was made for the sake of plot), Snow White's habitual drooling, and just how utterly fucked up the Ark is for having treated them like that. It's made quite clear that even back in the earliest of days, Nikke discrimination was a thing. Only thing that HASN'T been addressed is... how did Rapunzel become... horny?

I do recall in the main story chapters that when the protag is searching for clues related to Vapaus in the Ark, it states that all records of it have been erased or something. Which means they DID have actual knowledge of it. Meaning, that it's likely he became a lab rat. This could also explain why Red Hood keeps saying "destroy the Ark" when Rapi taps into her powers, she wants revenge.

The goddess squad of rapunzel,Dorothy,Redhood , scarle and Lilith was fighting the first queen and might have corrupt Lilith causing the legendary commander to shot her similar to Marian and the rest took the body and buried her. Over Lilith death the squad started to lose and the commander was called back. Redhood followed too only for the commander to disappear causing Redhood to become aggressive. Took down and had Redhood remade into rapi by Ingrid. The legendary commander past away and a clowning was form with the remain of Lilith body. Which could explain why nilhilster was keen on the MC sense he had a black no. Inside him. So Lilith body got moved after sealing and part of her become the new rapture queen. And the other part become part of the MC commander. Which could explain why Rapunzel was so familiar of the MC commander. And heretics Nikke we’re starting to be made after the new queen took over as new generals of the horde who had human knowledge to get the lead. Nilhilster was a loose cannon not fully summitted to the queen. This is my theory and a popular fan theory on the legendary commander and Lilith by some players.

Maybe I'm late, but if you still don't know, I hope my explanation can help. Basically, when Ark just been created, they still need time to close the Ark. That's why Goddess Squad (and a lot of Mass Production NIKKE) been guarding the entrance of the Ark (From Rapture's Attack). But in the End, The Ark betrayed them, by closing the Ark and left Goddess Squad in the Surface. Actually, not only Dorothy, but the whole Goddess Squad is been angry because of this. But for Dorothy, it becomes really personal, since at the same time, she lost someone (Ok, a Mass Production NIKKE... But I think somehow, it's still appropriate using the term 'someone') too; A Mass Production NIKKE by the name Pinne. When Dorothy felt down and started to lost her confidence as Goddess Squad Leader, Pinne is the one who support her, and even make her relationship with other Goddess Squad members become better. So it's really hard for Dorothy, when Pinne got corrupted, and she is the one who must pulled the Trigger to kill Pinne. That's why Ark betrayal is really hurt Dorothy, since she already promised Pinne, that they will going back to The Ark 'together'.
