Books have always been therapeutic for me it's much more than just reading. It feeds my starving mind and allows me to escape into a separate universe far far away from the realities of living hell. Love D.G
Got a lot of vinyl albums from 60's, 70, 80. Saw your video on albums and bought the album cleaner you mentioned. I also made the decision to buy a record player so I can enjoy the albums of my childhood. Thanks.
Shipping causes me the most anxiety with EBay. How do you add the cost of the box and materials into shipping since it is calculated on size, weight and destination? I have thought of doing flat rate shipping but that is problematic also. Thank you for sharing your wisdom.
You have to become a good guesser. First- check the box saying you dont know the dimensions. Select flat rate. If youre not sure then box the item and take it to the post office and ask them fee to ship to farthest part of US from where you live. Now add to that what you estimate the packaging is. Last- you must add to this number because ebay will be taking 14% of your shipping money too! Now play with your calculator till you come up with the right number- always subtracting the 14% to get you the right number.
Set it up in business policies... I always build in a little bit of extra... mine are based on weight & size... more than a bubble mail you like to be able to throw them like a frisbee, cardboard wrapping may be necessary... bundles may need to have a box.... everything from 1 lb to 6 lb ...Laxvespa---LosAngeles
Since you don't ship with batteries, you should really say 'Batteries not included' in your listings. I'm surprised no buyer has gotten upset over this.
"Costco initially planned to stop selling books year-round at most of its stores, starting in January 2025. However, Costco partially reversed its decision and will now sell books year-round in 100 of its stores. The remaining locations will only sell books during the holiday season, from September to December."
I agree with you that I like holding a book in my hands and can use a bookmark to hold my place.

Thanks for the comment. Books do that to many people.
Listing is the hardest! I could ship all day…wait..I retired from shipping and did that all day for decades!

I think you can add handling. That is where you figure eBay fees and materials

Love your videos. Thanks Mike
Thanks so much
I thought it would be way higher than that- maybe a billion or more- printed books are never going away- happy holidays
Another great video!
Thanks Mike!
Merry Christmas
dont know if thats the same book but I saw several listed for alot more money than what you sold it for? Are those just hail mary type listings?

I do. When batteries are an issue I state that in the ad.
I think you can ship batteries with products with Ground Advantage with USPS , check with them to verify.
I would Love the book!
What happened to your ebay store? Just went to look at and no listings
Vacation mode until Monday. I’m currently in NC for three weeks
Quick question, I guessing the book giveaway only open for US viewers? Cheers Graham
