Thank you for this video. I have a 2006 XB with 205k miles and I have run sea foam through the gas tank many times. I did not have much smoke after following your procedure. So it made me think it was not as dirty as I expected.

Suck it in through the vacuum hose to get the deep cleaning and smoke. Thanks for watching.

Extreme Daily Drivers - I did pull the hose and let it suck in while the car was running, there was some smoke while it was running. Perhaps I should do it again. When I took it for a drive I only had one large plume of smoke on the initial acceleration. I did notice a big difference in the idle. Any other suggestions?

Great video on the Seafoam. The one thing that u did not mention was on cleaning the throttle body this way, and this happened to me was the isle air control vales opening is at the bottom of the throttle body and the gunk gets in to the Idle air control valve and can cause it to fail or operate inproperly. That results in removing the complete throttle body to get to the IAC valve to clean or replace. Love you videos, this was just an item I wanted to mention. BTW My 2004 xB has 395,537 mile on it, best car ever, same engine and trans, going for 400K

Once I got the car started, and began pushing out all of that white smoke, my box began running codes. I have the check-engine light on, my VSC light on, and my No TC light. I checked it out on my OBDll sensor, and there's codes saying that Cylinder 4 is misfiring. Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?

Does this fix the idle issue on these XBs. I have had 3 XBs and they run like a top..when you have your foot on the gas. When your at a stop light or at the drive through the thing feels like it is going to rattle apart.. ALL of my XBs have has this issue. I love XBs but this is the only thing I hate. I have to put it in N if I am sitting at a stop light. (automatics) I know but that is what I have. I might get a stick one of these days but for now. How do I get rid of this. New PCV, New Coils, New Plugs, New MAF, cleaned Throttle Body. Still rattles at idle. My next idea is to clean out the Idle air control valve.

@@ExtremeDailyDrivers The idle rattle is a common issue from the xb forums I have been on. Yours from what I have seen does not have the factory air box that is mounted off the trans. That is were the vibration starts and it just rattles the air box as the vibration channels up the assembly. My last one did this till I sold it with 230k miles. The only reason I sold that one was the rocker panels rusted out from under the plastic skirt. The car is fine if the idle is up just about 200rpm..the issue is there is not a easy eay to bring the idle up just a smidge. I have a Toyota ASE mechanic friend who has already looked at it. Not much I can do but be annoyed with it. But love the XB content on you channel. Keep up the good work.
