Great ideas, but especially the wooden bowl coffee table. I saw a similar one in a furniture store and was very sorry to find it way outside my current budget. But I’ve just priced the bowls and plywood and found the cost is going to be very reasonable. I’m going to buy the plywood that has one outer side in a very good grade of timber that will look good when finished. I don’t have the tools to cut the top myself, so I will draw the outline I want, then take it round to the local Men’s Shed and one of the guys there will do it for a modest donation. (For anyone who doesn’t know about Men’s Shed, it is a volunteer organization or club for guys, mainly retired, who either know how to use tools or want to learn. Guys get together in their workshop/clubhouse, play with the tools, teach each other, make useful things like Christmas toys for needy kids, etc and do jobs for people like me in exchange for the donations that fund the whole operation. They also talk about stuff they can’t comfortably talk to anyone else about. Here in Australia it is considered to be just about the best mental health resource there is for retired guys.)
That sounds like a wonderful outlet for men! Women seem to be a bit better at creating and getting out and going to groups where they can find friends or just enjoy the company of others. And because they show the interest, there are more publicly funded programs for women than men. And there's the issue in the US that it's somehow permissible to have women-only spaces, but not men-only spaces. This sounds like the sort of thing that would attract a lot of older, retired men, but also some younger guys as well. And I love the idea that they accept some woodworking jobs or projects for a donation! I Googled and it looks like the idea has begun to take root in the US with a few locations. I hope it spreads!
So much fun, i remember some of these from the original videos ☺️ here the Timestamps 3:23 Project 1 - Fabric wrapped frames 6:20 Project 2- wavy edge side table 9:28 3 - fluted bar cabinet 15:54 4 - aluminum mushroom lamp 18:01 5 - Salad bowl coffee table 25:17 6 - plaid accent rug 28:40 7 - bamboo bowl pendant light 30:39 8 - fluffing up chair in fur rug 33:24 9 - plaster/ concrete pedestal 36:58 10 - pole wrapped billy bookcase ❤❤❤
The one thing about your projects is, you complete your vision, no matter how long it takes. Some of them can take several days to complete, but you push through, not giving up any of the detailed work needed. That takes an amazing amount of perseverance and dedication to your craft!! When I think about the tile in your kitchen, or the striped painting technique in your breakfast room.....the amount of patience needed is mind blowing!! I loved every one of the projects today. I can't begin to pick a favorite!!
I remember seeing the original videos to some of these. It was a lot of fun watching them again because I am moving into a new apartment very soon, and you gave me some wonderful ideas. Thanks so much for the inspiration! I've also enjoyed watching you styling your new home, but I'm excited to see you're doing more DIYs again. KEEP 'em coming !!
What a great idea to use real gloves that can be reused for a long time for staining. An old pair of leather gloves from the thrift store, rub Dubbin into them to seal and then GO! No more plastic waste! Respect.
Thank you for showing your hacks and your beautiful energy. Those IKEA Hacks 10 and 3 are high in style and something that is magazine worthy. Number 8 is such a must do; it is so usable yet so stylish!.... 36:58 10 - pole wrapped billy bookcase, 9:28 3 - fluted bar cabinet 30:39 8 - fluffing up chair in fur rug
Drew one that you did that I thought was so clever, I think you used a cutting board for the top but you took four ( some kind of rack ) from a Ikea and made a side table. It looks so great
Cute! I love it! 25:14 and 💡 you could totally make a matching smaller taller end table by stacking the ball legs! Just make sure to really flatten the bottom one!
Drew, lovely video, but your Chanel lately have had so many reposting or repetition of old but gold videos. We miss having new material DIY or room makeovers. Love watching your Chanel every week! 🥰
Drew, you are a master of DIY projects that are worthy of house space! My favorites are: the Pole-wrapped Billy Bookcase, the Fluted Bar Cabinet, the Plaid Accent Rug, and the Bamboo Bowl Pendant Light. Love them all !! I also think the furry chair (it was untitled) would be cute in a young or teen girl's room. I'm wondering if the faux shearling could be dyed a fun color to match a room or to make an accent... It would be worth a try. If not, a trip to a large fabric store could probably yield cute, upholstery grade fuzzy or spiky faux fur in colors. I think Pottery Barn used to carry a desk chair covered in the spiky kind of fur in bright colors in their Teen collection for inspo. They still might or Google will probably bring up a pic. Seriously considering this for my granddaughter! Also considering for my granddaughter, the Fabric-wrapped frames. I think they'd be cute in a young girl's room in pretty, tiny floral or ditzy prints in pastels. In an older girl's or teen girl's room, they might be cute in brighter, bigger florals for a throwback to the 70s with the furry chair in a fun color. Cute for boy's room in menswear plaids or pinstripes suiting, oxford cloth, or for younger boys, small prints like dinos, rockets, cars, sailboats, etc would be adorable. Lastly, I like the IDEA of the coffee table and thought the legs were cute. But that top...nope! I'd definitely need a furniture grade plywood and have it cut by a pro... I can actually even see it with a MCM treatment of white or creamy beige Formica application (relatively easy to do) for the right room. And that would be inexpensive with a mid-grade plywood. Thanks for gathering these all together in one video!
Drew, THANK YOU for sharing some ideas that I would love to make for my new apartment!!! Most of the DIY projects that you normally see is making stuff from DG or DT and they're good, but I want to make stuff that you can't tell that it didn't come from a high end furniture manufacturer or builder that I'll be proud to have in my apartment!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Project #2 dowels on wood cabinet…I would have glued and nailed down the dowels (wood trim strips)…good project! The lamp/coffee pot lamp: they have wireless light bulbs now. The coffee table is nice.. wouldn’t a piece of glass over the top make it more elegant .. of course! ❤ The Billy bookcase is brilliant … Good ideas!!!
They’re all my favorite LOL! I had already seen the wrapped frame in another video and used that idea to wrap the mats of 4 frames with tea towels that I then use to frame copies of hand written recipes from my mom and my husband’s mom; they are hanging in our kitchen. ❤
Watching your creativity makes me feel happy, Drew. 🤗 My man's a carpenter, and he's created some amazing storage and shelving from ply in our humble wee beach abode... ...But, if I had to make things myself, I'd be grabbing some of these amazing ideas! 🤩 Love, Jacqueline from New Zealand 💓
just realized ive been watching you since the drew scott channel foreverrrr ago. i remember stumbling across a video of yours when i was looking for a backpack for highschool in like 2014…. all these years later and im still watching your videos. crazy to see how far youve come, keep it up 💖💖
To get wood stain off of your hands use cooking oil such as vegetable oil, rub it in all over and then wash your hands with warm water and dish soap. It works very well.
If I was in need of a rug, would definitely do the plaid hack. My all-time fave afghan to crochet involved creating a mesh grid and then weaving yarns to create the plaid. Fun to do different types of plaid, color combos, with each. Also knit plaid neck warmers. Love me some plaid! Enjoy your Holidays. 😊
I LOVE watching your channel. Not only because you have such great ideas and projects, but because they are less costly and very tasteful. Happy Thanksgiving❣️
That plaid rug turned out incredible! I love that dark peacock blue with the terracotta, and how you made the paint fainter in some areas. Great choices!
In the last few years I've gotten all my rugs from Lone Fox, but I will be trying the rug paints for our outdoor Airstream rug. BTW we love all our rugs from Lone Fox, for our home base and on the Airstream ~ even with downsizing we find so much beautiful & functional decor. Thank you Drew ! Wanda & Vinnie, Charleston SC
Hard to pick a favorite, but I think the bookcase is so creative. Love the idea of the magnetic closures to have hidden storage. The wrapped frames are so achievable - even a cheap frame can be made to look like so much more.
Hi Drew, love your IKEA Billy bookcase hack. Do you think in the near future, you can do a DIY project by adding "drop leaf" covering panels to the couple of the open shelves. I have 2 bookcases (not Billy brand) like this but I also need to hide away clutters in addition to displaying my art pieces. Thank you if you have any inspiration to this.
We love our Sleep Number Bed.. he gets to sink in on his side, and I get to have a Goldilocks setting/just right. And Nick Lewis Channel mentioned one of your crafty hacks.. wish I could remember which one it was, because I'm looking for it.. I guess I'd better go watch his videos again and yours too.. :)
I really enjoy the look of those bookshelves. I'd say those are my favorite. Drew would you ever be so inclined to make a metal soldered piece of your choosing? That would be challenging! Welding would be out of the question for sure.
Thanks for sharing you have those moments too ( "oh my gosh, what have i gotten myself into this time!") And thanx for the video's with the astonishing things you make!
I ordered a few things from your site and they came really fast and I am so happy to receive them, so thank you Drew they put me in such a Christmas spirit!
Excellent DIY projects with very attractive results. The bowls together coffee table legs made me think of a glass top. Maybe glass is too expensive for a hack but given the cost of coffee tables ... CH
My fav was the black bar cabinet. Fabulous look. Sophisticated, just the right amount of drama for a bar cabinet. Great job. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving Drew. Have a great Holiday season!

With those frames, you could cover them with your granfers or dads shirt, and put their photo inside,a great memory of them😊😊😊😊
What an amazing idea.
Awesome idea!
I love this so much!
Such a good idea
Great idea!!! Thank you for this creativity. Holiday gifts on the way!!! 👏🏽❤

I just love the jute rug transformation
That COFFEE TABLE! I would do that coffee table.
You are the most creative person in today’s world!!!

The jute rug was just wonderful! And the ikea bowls into table legs…looked awesome…but all your hacks were ingenious!
I. Love. Everything!
But the rug, the mushroom lamp, OMG! Glad you left the Billy unpainted. 💙

You have unbelievable patience! My favorite was the last bookcase, but every project was so creative.
The black cabinet is fabulous!!
Loved these fresh ideas! Higher quality than most DIYs.
I liked the small dark cabinet with the pulls.
Well done. I like each project. Very creative.
Oh my gosh! I just love all of your projects! Thank you for sharing them all with us!
Everyone of those projects was MY FAVORITE Drew!
I'm excited to do each one!
Drew one that you did that I thought was so clever, I think you used a cutting board for the top but you took four ( some kind of rack ) from a Ikea and made a side table. It looks so great
Oh yess!! I love that project i still have it :)
Cute! I love it! 25:14

Loved the Billy bookcase at the end. It's definitely the right choice to leave as is, in my opinion.
Your VOICE makes me SO HAPPY!!!😍😍😍
Thank you !
Loved all 10 of the projects. So much fun to watch you turn an ordinary piece into something special. Thanks for the inspiration.
The Billy Bookcase was very elegant without the elegant cost!
Omg as an artist I’ve never even knew of the electric stapler. Stretching canvas will be so much easier. Adds to cart! Thank you.
Drew, lovely video, but your Chanel lately have had so many reposting or repetition of old but gold videos. We miss having new material DIY or room makeovers.
Love watching your Chanel every week! 🥰
Omg ! Loving the boho hanging lamp so beautiful ! My favorite

It would be hard to pick a fav. They are all such great ideas!
I love all the projects! They all turned out great! I prefer a coffee table a little bit taller so I would use one and a half round balls. 😊💛
I LOVE that last cabinet with the rounded sides!
So cool. I love that bookcase
I've done a couple of picture frames in vintage, contrasting velvet fabrics. Options are endless. Love your aesthetics Drew.
Haven't watched in a while.
You never disappoint.
Love all the projects you did in this video.
The diy projects you created are still amazing! It’s like each one gets better and better!! ❤️👏
Watching your creativity makes me feel happy, Drew. 🤗

Ive been waiting for Ikea in the Philippines since Childhood!
Ive had magazines of Ikea since gradeschool ❤
The scalloped table is so cute! Would be so cute painted in a fun color for a playroom. Or pastel pink for an Alexandra Gater studio fix makeover!! 🥰

The salad bowl coffee table is STILL the best, most creative DIY I've seen.
You come up with the best ideas! And they are doable for this of us without much experience!
I hate to admit, the coffee table looks amazing!
That plaid rug turned out incredible! I love that dark peacock blue with the terracotta, and how you made the paint fainter in some areas. Great choices!

WOW.. this was not what I expected from you. I was there when you started an followed since. . I impressed…
