Got mine a couple of odd weeks ago after a long wait too (as bad in the UK trying to get one of these puppies!). But what a camera it is. Image quality - blows you away, lens - superb edge to edge even wide open, the EVF is what you would expect on this camera - an "upper class" version of the RX100IV one (excellent clarity, bright, sharp, distortion free), very positive feel to all the controls, dials and switches, and you will not be wanting for features. It is literally an A7R Mk II in tiny dimensions, so Sony deserve credit for what is a marvel of miniaturisation: just like 35mm film compacts of old, and there were doubters as to whether a digital equivalent would be possible. Well, Sony proved that it is with the RX1 range, but this with the 42.4 Mpx Exmor R BSI sensor, incredible really. I was pleased this camera came along because I wanted to specialise and was geting sick of huge and heavy DSLR set ups to carry about, which was putting me off shooting to be honest. This makes me want to go out and shoot. Accessories wise I got a lovely Gariz leather half case dedicated to the RX1RM2, a Gariz full leather neck/ shoulder strap which is more comfortable and isn't emblazened with logos like the Sony one, and a Fotodiox rounded oblong vented hood and brass soft release, both were great value and high quality - every bit as much as the Sony offerings at far higher prices. Get loads of X batteries if you are thinking of one of these, you will need them (I have 5), and get a third party dual charger: it'll make life easier for you on that front!
The apps are good too. I recommend Sky HDR, and the timelapse apps. The Sony 360 degree sensing remote is a good, affordable accessory too. Haven't bothered with a flash yet!
It is scratchy sometimes, but it depends how tight/ quick you swivvel the focusing ring. Mostly it doesn't, not on mine anyway. I think it is possibly because everything is fitted so tightly (there is not much space in the lens chassis in which the focus ring has to move)

Did you buy a filter for it or no need? I see people buying a soft shutter release too

You don't need to push in the viewfinder before you shut it. It's designed to go in as you press down

Sold it about a year ago, did not get a filter. Shutter release was perfect. One of the best cameras I ever owned

@@inquisitvem6723 absolutely. You'll get some amazing results out of video and photos. But just know that it is very limiting. So be prepared
