李威霖在香港浸會大學修讀音樂，取得音樂文學士（榮譽）。李氏在浸會大學修讀期間，曾擔任該學校交響樂團團長和香港巴洛克室樂團團長一職，其後考獲獎學金於美國德克薩斯大學奧斯汀分校取得音樂碩士學位，主修小提琴演奏。在學期間他師從黃衛明先生、凌顯佑先生、蔡睿先生及 Daniel Ching 學習小提琴，並參與多個小提琴以及室內樂大師班，得到 Kathleen Wrinkler, Daniel Jordan, David Kim, Leo Philips 及 Robert Diaz 指導。此外，李氏還受 Miro Quartet 成員的指導。
李氏熱愛表演音樂，包括獨奏、室內樂及管弦樂。他在中學時以優異成績考獲英國聖三一音樂學院小提琴高級演奏文憑的資格（Violin LTCL, Distinction），其後以優異成績考獲英國聖三一音樂學院中提琴演奏文憑的資格（Viola ATCL, Distinction）。亮相於香港、中國大陸及美國等等。在 2014 年，李氏隨同香港巴洛克室樂團在美國卡內基音樂廳演出 ，深受好評。在室內樂方面，李氏於 2017 年在第五屆 Princess Galyani Vadhana International Ensemble Competition 取得第三名。此外，他在美國留學期間，曾獲全額獎學金參與第三十屆 Texas Music Festival，並擔任團長一職。
李氏對表演充滿熱情，他亦熱衷於教學十多年，曾擔任挪威國際學校、培正小學、軒尼詩道官立學校等的小提琴導師。
李氏現時為香港小交響樂團小提琴手。

William Lee completed the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Music at Hong Kong Baptist University. During the time, Lee was appointed to be the concertmaster of Hong Kong Baptist University Symphony Orchestra and Collegium Musicum of Hong Kong. For striving a more advanced performance level, Lee received the Master of Music in Violin Performance at the University of Texas at Austin with scholarships. He had studied with Mr. Wong Wai Ming, Mr. Andrew Ling, Mr. Ray Tsoi and Mr. Daniel Ching in his university studies. Moreover, Lee participated in several violin and chamber masterclasses with Ms. Kathleen Wrinkler, Mr. Daniel Jordan, Mr. David Kim, Mr. Leo Philips, Mr. Robert Diaz etc. Besides that, Lee was coached by the members of Miro Quartet.
Lee is passionate in performing the music,including solo, chamber music and orchestral music. In his early time, he had obtained the violin LTCL and viola ATCL from the College of Trinity in distinction. In 2014, he was invited to be one of the members of Collegium Muscium of Hong Kong to perform at Carnegie Hall. Besides that, Lee had won the third prize at the 5th Princess Galyani Vadhana International Ensemble Competition in 2017. Furthermore, Lee gained the full scholarship to take part in the 30th Texas Music Festival and be the concertmaster in that orchestra.
While being passionate in performing, Lee is also enthusiastic in teaching for more than 10 years who has been appointed to be the violin tutor at the Norwigian International School, Pui Ching Primary School, Hennessy Road Government School etc.
Lee is playing as a violinist of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta.
