Thank you so much for the tutorial Ben! I have a buzzard that I'm very nervous to work on as I have never done birds of prey before. I have a few questions.
    1. Do you skin the feet out from the top? or do you make an incision to remove the flesh? if so, how do you hide the stiches?
    2. You applied a liquid to the claws to give them back their shine, but I don't believe I caught what it was. Was that mineral oil?
    Thank you so much!

You are welcome .. the feet are not skinned , the heel part of a raptor can be inverted for a little to remove the meat if there is any and the rest ( tendons) will be injected from outside as they won’t go bad, they just shrink and will look ugly and unnatural. .. the claws can be polished with any industrial oil, even engine oil. I’m using linseed oil here but thinned out engine oil works great too.. just brush on and wipe. I have full tutorial videos of similar hawks in the membership zone.

What’s the stuff you use for the white residue on the claws?

It’s natural. I’m not putting them there. I just make sure not to remove them or scrape them off.
