@@Skyworkss Alright, I think the films with these decorations are great too. As always, good work, as well as the films themselves (even better if they came out more often hehehehehe). What equipment do you use to record your videos?
Everyone needs to remember, LED technology is still in its infancy. The three biggest problems with LED fixtures today, in my opinion, are: 1. Thermal (heat) management, 2. Optics, and 3. Fixture aesthetics. Heat is the number one reason LED fixtures fail. In most cases, it is the driver that fails first due to lack of removing built-up heat from fixtures. Heat is the number one killer of drivers. Second is fixture optics. LEDs are inherently a point source, so they can come across as extremely uncomfortable and cause much glare if not properly controlled. A good optical system in a fixture will distribute the light such that it will distribute the light in a controlled manner with little to no glare. 3. Fixture aesthetics: The majority of LED roadway fixtures are extremely ugly and unappealing. An aesthetically pleasing fixture will look more natural and familiar. A nice looking LED fixture with good thermal management and comfortable optics will be more readily acceptable by most of the population if done correctly, and will have a longer life. LEDs can also be fine-tuned to mimic older lighting technologies. A couple years ago, I was in Flagstaff Arizona (USA) where they have observatories, and they had what were originally Low-pressure sodium fixtures retrofit with LED modules that mimicked LPS. It’s just a matter of time when LEDs become perfected and accepted as the norm. At some time in the future, everyone will be defending LEDs as their favorite light source when the next lighting technology comes out.
How and so ? How happy I am to see the old and legendary HPS fixtures like the Philips SGS 203 making a comeback! How and why did the municipality make such a decision?
Buenas amigo, se anima hacer un video demostrando todas las herramientas incluidos los de medición y testeo? Para aprender que mas puedo utilizar a la hora de trabajar, Gracias
It’s difficult to film or say exactly what I use. You need tools like a regular electrician. Voltage tester, megger, different types of drills, impact wrench, angle grinder, various socket sets, sledgehammer, crowbar, etc. The list is long, haha😂🤷♂️
Hello. I agree that we need to save energy, but nevertheless LED is not at all ideal for public lighting. You just have to drive in any place and especially on motorways, to be blinded by this lighting. In addition, in case of fog or light rain, it causes a very dangerous luminous halo due to lack of visibility!!! And to finish the problems of drivers that blow very often, especially with storms, frankly this technology is still far too fragile!!! Lighting with high or low pressure sodium vapour technology was really better!!! Kind regards. Yves.
Yes, that’s true. Everything has its pros and cons. LED consumes less energy but also has its downsides. But if I had been the one to decide, I wouldn’t have switched to LED haha 😜
Good evening. In any case your work is really interesting, I like to follow your videos. It is a fact that I like this technology which is slowly but surely disappearing, that is why I collect devices and bulbs!!!
What a nice surprise at saturday morning ❤have a nice weekend 🤩
Agree🎉
Thank you! You too!😘
Old and gold (good)
Yes 🙌
Nothing wrong with old style street lights. if anything they are more sexier and better looking than LED Junk lol nice video sir!
sexier?
Thanks🫶🤷♂️
Hi, my friend! Besides street lighting, do you also put up holiday decorations for Christmas?
Hi! I’ve done it before for other municipalities. If I’m assigned the job, I’ll absolutely do it. I don’t think it’s complicated at all.

Thank you so much 🙏 I really appreciate it. I use GoPro cameras.

LED armatures had long delivery times, so we had to go with SGS instead.🫶

That's why I'm saving up to buy another light fixture either HPS, or MV
Nothing is ever straightforward is it, having to make adjustments.
