I honestly wish we would stop asking dark skin people how they feel about colorism. Like, let’s be for real, what do you expect them to say other than “yeah it sucks not being appreciated or valued as much as my peers of a lighter complexion”. This question will always get the exact same answer every time, and there’s never any additional depth to the answer because we’ve already gone over it 5011 times. This is almost like asking black people “how do you feel about racism?”

As a dark skinned woman, im so glad this is being discussed. I just told my father that "yes I've experienced racism but at the end of the day, I've received the most hate from my own community for being dark." Like it or not thats MY truth and yes, it hurts.

I don't think she understands it because she thinks her own fans are using it to diss her. Her having a light skin mom who never talked about colorism explains why she still doesn't believe colorism affects her.
She doesn’t understand it not one bit. She said she thinks cause white people made our skin an issue we made it an issue as if we just picked it up for no reason. Very ignorant lady.
My mom is darkskin and didnt teach me reverse colorism. Im lighter than my siblings btw. I think that parents think if I treat all my kids with love and kindness it heals all wounds but forget the world is ready to humble you at very second
@@daughterofyah6209you may be lighter than your siblings but you’re not considered light skin in general so that’s probably why. reverse colorism doesn’t exist as well. you may have been bullied which is unfortunate but i don’t think it was bc of your skin tone
She has to deny it because she doesn't want to look like a victim. Just another way they gaslight black women and girls into accepting the little jokes, slights, and overt insults. You can't rightfully call anything out without being accused of "playing the victim" or having "a victim mentality".
That’s what I said. She doesn’t want to be the Marty or spokesperson because in a way she still benefits from the system, even if we think she should be way further.
yeah & also she is successful so she likely looks at calling out colorism like she's downplaying her own success , but tbh I don't look at it that way . colorism exists AND she is a successful dark skinned woman . 2 things can be true at once .
When these darkskinned female entertainers get brought up in colorism conversations, I wish they’d say something along the lines of “yes colorism is real, and I’m still that b-“ or something! Denying it comes off as overcompensation.
they have both doubled back to acknowledge the effects of colorism. Which they could’ve acknowledged and claimed the love of themselves despite colorism, and kept it moving.
I agree, but the reality is that celebrities are not the most knowledgeable about social issues. Also, many of them are experiencing success for the first time, so they are just focusing on their new privileges, and maybe not necessarily social issues. like flo milli literally got rich at age 19 so its prob hard to think of herself as a victim in any sense.
She literally said it’s happened at school… duuuhhh- this it can happen in your career field, whatever it is albeit. Esp in hiphop. No one talking about how your momma treat her kids.
@@shanel4294 It was weird she mentioned it that way. It definitely was on her subconscious because nobody asked or needed to know your mom is light, followed by getting it at school. You spend about as much time at school as you do at home. Facts.
@@sweetjanejonez I think she was making it a point that in her home how she was RAISED colorism was nonexistent especially living in a household with persons of varying shades especially with a parent that has a more “favorable” shade according to society. Kids in school talk shit about everything, but how you are raised in your home can truly build the foundation of how you see the world. There’s been plenty of stories of DS kids feeling disowned or bullied by LS parents/family members.
2:15 It’s so much deeper than projection. It’s psychological and spiritual warfare. It’s not a topic just to simply “scratch the surface” on. There’s SOOOOO much to unpack here.
I think part of the problem could be that she doesn’t want to attribute her lack of being super super successful to her skin color bc it hurts knowing that you’re being held back for something that you can’t control. I made a TikTok about being mad about not being as far in my career and every comment was like it’s probably your skin color and I never thought about that before until they commented it and it made me feel angry and helpless.
13 million monthly listeners on Spotify... I see her literally everywhere. I almost never hear a bad word about her/everyone that knows her adores her. I think she's good. are people forgetting the industry is full of blood sucking executives who like to run their artists to the ground??? the pace of her career is honestly ideal. this girl is comparing her to ice spice yet constantly makes videos saying ice spice is gonna flop any second and she can't live up to her own hype. implying ice spice is the one that's gonna disappear in the end, so what's really the problem??
Kash even came out saying that a producer wouldn't work with her because shes darkskinned so it'll only be a matter of time Id never want it to happen, but when people say stuff like this it always comes to bite them
This is just my opinion but I think she didn't want to be seen as a victim of sorts. Imagine if she did say from the jump "I would be much further along if I was light skin". People would ridicule her for playing the victim or "making excuses" etc. I can already see all the annoying people saying "oh she's just not talented and she's just being a sore loser." I think she very well understands colorism but she is most likely very strong as a person and doesn't allow it to affect her as much. I find it so amazing that she says she loves herself and even acts like it. I do think she should be allowed to acknowledge the effects of colorism because it 100% plays a factor in why she is not as big as she could be.
I think so too. Very plausible, and I get it. "Let me say I'm not affected so I won't be a target". I've done that when I'm a minority in certain spaces, to be honest
Speak on it chioma!!! Colorism & texturism are absolutely REAL! They impact so many of our daily lives and that doesn’t mean we are victims but we gotta call a spade a spade! Wonder what is making flo milli change her perspective on it
I don’t think she understands it lol. What I will say though, is that the colorism she already faces, combined with her now being pregnant….. gives THOSE people every excuse they need to keep her out of certain rooms.
From my point of view people always use her as an example for EVERY colorism in music situation and it kind of downplays her success by comparing to that of others. Not saying shes not a legitimate example of it because she is, but to be constanly attatched to something like that and it doesnt change anything about her career.
It’s honestly annoying how they refuse to acknowledge this part of the conversation. Why not respect her wishes and support her music instead of using her as the face of a colorism debate.
Right!! Their making her the face of colorism. That’s taking away from her image as an artist because all the focus on her has shifted to her being unappreciated in the industry and victimized.
@@Empress.T-l4o It is but have you seen how us dark skinned black girls are treated especially by the black community they dispise us soo bad and we are so tired of it because it's our skin and something we can't change like....😤

It’s not about being seen, it’s about being respected, and equity. I see a lot of gorgeous, dark skin, women like myself, but unfortunately, we are not respected, and we are not paid equally, and when we go above and beyond, it is seen as something that we’re supposed to be doing. This conversation has so much context, and so much more nuance, I’ve seen it so many times before. Most especially with beautiful dark skin women who have her particular aesthetic. I don’t think they realize, their pretty privilege will only protect them for so long. when you finally realize, that there are snakes in your garden, who don’t want you to succeed more than they will succeed. Because of their complexion, they feel like they’re more deserving. black women like this young lady, finally, then come out and talk about colorism. Your average, every day, dark skin, black woman deals with colorism on a daily basis. Even as a beautiful, black woman, the constant observing from others, the monitoring spirits, I had several monitoring spirits that were eyeing me down today. It’s absolutely exhausting. But then you’re told you’re not as beautiful as everyone else, and you’re not as deserving as everyone else, and you’re not receiving flowers like everyone else. It’s a reality most people will never understand.🙏🏾
Stop blaming slavery❗️ ...colorism prevails so much in the blk community because most Blk men blk self hate and even some blk women carry that blk self hate card...😮
it goes back to slavery days tho ... black men being lap dogs for the massahs nd wife. being rewarded with their lightskin children ... be yall not ready for tht conversation 🥴🥴🥴🥴🌚
How can you not blame slavery when the reason the black community hates themselves in the first place is because they taught us to lol. We have to make an active decision to love our natural selves daily because we’re not glorified in the media either. If you wanna be ignorant to the root cause then sure but the rest of us can see where it comes from.
Kashdoll always said it didn’t affect her either later down the line she hopped on social media talking about a producer/engineer that straight up told her she couldn’t have 1 of his beats unless she put a light skin girl on the song too
She doesn’t understand at all she thinks that we’re discrediting her career. That’s not the case we’re saying she should be further along and then the fact that the light skin woman like Carisha, who clearly still doesn’t understand what’s happening is trying to validate those invalid opinions.
Can you give a video on how to handle responding to colorism as an artist instead of being dismissive or ignorantly in denial. I also agree with you 5 years ago and now ❤
I think this conversation has gotten a little stale. I feel like these conversations that trend on twitter every few months end up going no where. The same people who are advocating for dark skin artist like dochei and flomilli on twitter don’t listen or buy there music. There’s no reason why either of their women albums sales are not matching twitter discourse engagement and it’s sad. It comes off as performative. I really need people to put the money where their mouth is. I think that’s one of the reason why flomilli was annoyed with the conversation as well. The same people who complained about ice spice being famous were the same people who was listening to her music and funding her career. Also we need to be side eyeing these labels too. Latto and Flo milli are on the same label. They give Latto a way bigger push even though numbers wise latto doesn’t really sell like that. I think colorism has something to with Latto being so heavily pushed onto us verses Flomilli or Normani who are all on the same label not.
It’s a slap in the face when you see women like Ice spice , saweetie getting recognition for not being half as talented as someone like Flo mili and Normani 😢
In my opinion, in female rap culture, simply being light-skinned without being curvy isn’t enough. Artists like Coi Leray and, more recently, Ice Spice face body shaming for being skinny. The ideal seems to be a light-skinned, curvy phenotype, regardless of talent.
I disagree kind a… coi was considered ugly until she fixed her teeth… now that she has veneers I haven’t seen anyone call her undesirable. Icespice is getting “made fun of” because she made her entire career off of “being thick” and now that she’s not… people are seeing her for what she is- which is talentless
Coi is not on the same level of desirability by body popularity standards like latto, cardi and its NO shade because I don't feel like Meg goes through any colorist hate
@@iamkennedycarterMeg doesn’t go through any colourist hate because she isn’t darkskin? She’s brown so yes that would make sense, Megan’s hate is definitely derived from a different place
girl i was literally gonna comment the other day when you posted about your fam's nigerian wedding why do you look so much like flo milli! yall really have very similar features!
I understand her irritation. She is happy with her level of success and this colorism conversation is not enhancing that success. It is a tired conversation because it does not help the dark person in question. This is more for the commentator than the person commented on.
This was a full circle moment. Flo Milli is from my hometown. I’m cool with her Mother, I went home to create my upcoming ep. Where we are from color is just another thing we already stopped even giving attention too. Because we are so underprivileged and overlooked. So when she said she didn’t get it, she didn’t, my grandmother is white. We really have a multi racial families. Some of us stop even thinking about stuff we can’t change. Great video. ❤
I'm so happy that you were discussing this topic. Colorism affects us in so many different ways in our community it's sad. Growing up a mixed kid with long curly hair I got beat up everyday for people saying that I think I'm better which wasn't the case. At all. I literally had low self-esteem because no one liked me. But it was due to colorism so a lot of us suffer from this shit. I went through this as a child in the 80s you would think by almost 2025 we would have evolved a lot more as a people but it seems we have not
I feel like this has to do with her being pregnant… like she’s thinking about if she has a daughter and all of the negativity that’s going to be attached to her now that she’s a baby mama
I don’t think it’s fair to say it’s ignorant to “ignore” colorism .. I’ve met multiple people who don’t invite colorism and racism as reality into their lives.. took me a while to understand. I don’t necessarily agree, but I get it. Some people don’t believe they’ve faced colorism & racism because of PERSPECTIVE…. I wouldn’t diminish their mindset, opinions, & experiences and say it’s “wrong” or “ignorant”
I would, it’s very ignorant to think those things don’t have the ability to affect you and the people around you. But if they’re turn the other cheek people then they won’t mind when it does I guess. People like that I would distance myself from personally.
@ what you invite into your life as reality will become reality… like I said, I don’t necessarily agree but others are allowed to have different perspectives on what they choose to accept without judgment or saying they lack knowledge My mother is one of these people who does not Feed into colorism and racism. A brown skin woman with a brown skin daughter (me)…. We don’t have to believe the same things to respect each other’s differences or build healthy relationships
@@itskingblaze1782 I used to do that until I realised I could've been way far in life if it wasn't for the people around me who had colorist and racist traits and projected those towards me. It messed up my perspective of my own person because it made me question my intelligence and self-esteem. You may not invite it in your life but someone will force onto you. The best thing to do is acknowledge it and move on. Swipping it under the rug will only make it worse later on.
@@tunamayhoe I don’t wanna type too much more lol but this is a start to a very interesting conversation.. I think the reason some of them are denying that colorism exist, is because they don't want to be black balled by the industry. I find it very ironic that that young lady chose that particular show to go on & talk about colorism. 🤔
I understands where she is coming from, I’m very dark and I’ve had people say things growing up and even now here and there and I’m in my late 30s I was adored at home I have a big family and I’ve grown up on a lot of love so sometimes I don’t feel like colorism effects me personally because I have a high self esteem from my family, but I’m very knowledgeable of black history so I’m very aware of the discourse on the topics and the facts. But when you don’t have a color complex you don’t acknowledge what you may lack because you’re content
colonizers have really done a number on black people and it’s just so crazy to realize daily. conversations are good but they’re not going to help this issue. black people need to do the work and actually create their own platforms. the audience is always there.
I think she was saying that she didn't have much money and she's happy with what she has now. It's a lot of money to HER. So she doesn't want her career to be based on negativity. She's ok with the money that she has now.
I think people truly don’t understand the definition or examples of colorism. People think the isms have come with hate and violence but it’s honestly the micro aggressions
Maybe in trippin but she’s had her own little spill biting back when her fans are trying to support her. One minute she cried about colorism then the next minute she was attacking her audience for no reason with colorist remarks. And now for her to be paring up with an attention seeker who literally does the same shit, is straight up tactless. 😒
To be honest the only girl that is the most underrated and is so versatile is Doechii she's so talented and have great stage performance she definitely is experiencing colorism because she has more talent then all the girls .. I also like how she made a song about experiencing colorism
It still gave she don’t wanna be a spokesperson because she benefits from the system still. She’s happy where she’s at, even if we want more or see her further.
Only darkskin artist that actually keeps it real and has been consistent about it is Asian Doll/Asian Da Brat. She not only defends herself or other female rappers, but normal girls and Black women.
We have to be careful in our own community to not let this be divisive ..... We can't say something is colorism and then be evil to our own people For instance I am a lightskinned african american woman who encounters mean girl behavior from my darker sisters because of the shade brown I was born with .... The shade of my skin should not be a cause for hate
I’m going to put myself in Flo Millis shoes for a moment. From her POV I feel she didn’t want Colorism tied to her or her career. And she has every right not to want to be associated with that disgusting rhetoric. Do I think she is just now realizing the effects of colorism on her career…. Yes. And No I don’t believe every darkskin woman has to put on the cape and discuss colorism. Because it is something that is happening to them. Who wants to constantly talk about something bad happening to them. You don’t. You want to acknowledge but move forward. And I believe she wants to prove the colorist wrong through her hardwork. And it’s definitely working out for her. She pushed through the barrier.
I remember I was with my Samoan friend in San Diego and my black guy friend he was dark skinned so am I. This guy he ran into was a light skinned pimp and he was so mad that I’m black af. Like tf. He completely went in like I was so angry cuz he didn’t want me I never said two words to the guy. He told my friend she could be one of his 304s as if that was a compliment. I’ve been treated bad just cuz I’m dark skinned it was worse when I was growing up
I’m not really understanding why ppl were bothered she never wanted to victimize herself due to colorism, you cant control how ppl feel about their own success and if she feels like her REAL life (not the internet) she does not get colorism treatment then why argue with her? Or tell her she’s delusional
Okay so I just hate the fact that when her name was brought up in this topic a couple years ago she acted as though she could not relate. Now, you doubling back on what you said? Same as Kashdoll saying she didn’t experience colorism in the industry, even almost dismissing it, until guess what? BOOM! Exactly! It happened to her! And I hate when darker female rappers do that, not to say all rappers experience colorism, but to act as though it’s nonexistent and that other women in the industry who have, is oh so delusional or it’s so hard to believe, is absolutely insane to me!
Interesting...my mom is my color but my sister is much lighter and although I've never experienced it in my home I've still experienced it. I thought it was dense of her to say that and it made me slow down listening to her and I didn't even mean to. Pretty sad she's just now "getting it"
But when people were standing up for Flo saying she should further than Ice Spice she came on twitter to say we shouldn’t defend her, colourism doesn’t affect her blah blah. I know sometimes it takes time to understand certain issues but her actions put me off. Thanks for flashing back to your past vid Choima cos I remember watching that video and couldn’t believe Flo’s response.
I think we already saw an equal example of mediocre vs talent with Latto and Ice spice they’re both lighter skinned but the ppl gravitated more towards ice spice and I still don’t understand why maybe because she was more popular with gen z and also gen a
Ice spice isn’t black and neither is cardi B, latto is multiracial, sexxy redd, JT, and DOECHII are all dark. I feel like we need to stop begging to be in spaces, BUY HER MUSIC if you enjoy it, simple!
I know it's too early to make this statement cuz I don't know what the heck you're about to talk about😂😂. But that is always been the most difficult thing about enjoying her presence. Because I just don't understand how you can be a black woman and act like it doesn't exist or maybe you didn't care because it wasn't affecting you. And she knew better not to say that. (And what I mean by new better is that she chose to ignore instead of acknowledge to keep her fan base)
I love you chomo !!! Completely off topic But listen as a light skin child bought up with a dark skin mom, darkskin siblings, darkskin grandma. I literally went through the exact opposite growing up. I am the only one with a different dad out of my 6 other sisters by my mom (whom are all darkskin) I was always pointed out made fun of & picked on by everyone family & school. I didn’t even understand the depth behind why they felt the way they felt towards me & it hurts. I am now grown with two brown girls. Please can someone educate me more on the topic. I never was “picked” due to my skin always humbled & shut down. I love all black girls regardless of shade & that’s what I teach my girls but I would love to be taught more !

Talk about it early and often Silence can lead to shame, so it's important to talk about colorism early and often. Monitor for mean language Be aware of mean language and put-downs in the conversation. It can affect perceptions and interactions in subtle and profound ways. Colorism can impact people of all races and ethnicities. It can impact the quantity and quality of schooling. It can impact economic disparities, employment, income, and wealth gaps.
I wouldn't think about colorism just keep doing you, Naomi the supermodel is the same color as flo just keep pushing... Europeans love dark skin women so if america has a problem who cares go to Europe, dark skin people keep rising go where you are welcomed... And alot of times no other race is talking about how dark you are but Black people, alot of black people want to have something on you so they bring up your color and "How you feel being dark skin".. they want to make you insecure, plant it in your brain...black people need to stop asking darker skins theses types of questions because its not necessary.. flo made it and if she keep believing in herself she will thrive..
@ghettoghost305 I never said colorism only for black people, I said black people are the main people asking other black people how they feel being dark skin..
Everybody saying colorism isn’t a thing, I have one reference for you, Ice Spice. No way a trash rapper like her should’ve been pushed as hard as she was. Flo Milli and other dark skinned rappers NEVER received the kind of attention the pale ones did. Regardless of talent.
She said that back then because she didn’t want to be on the wrong side of that big obnoxious obsessive icespice fan wave. It was smart business. If she had said she was better than Ice she would’ve gotten eaten up and torn down bad even though it’s blatantly obviously true and that in itself is because of colorism and she knew that then too. When these darkskinned female entertainers get brought up in colorism conversations, I wish they’d say something along the lines of “yes colorism is real, and I’m still that b-“ or something! Denying it comes off as overcompensation.
This the one
This comment needs to be pinned!
They love themselves.. something a lot of you women should do instead of projecting insecurities onto other people
they have both doubled back to acknowledge the effects of colorism.
Lol right
LIKEEEEE, aing nobody ask about the lightskin momma
@@sweetjanejonez she was giving context smh🤦♀️
2:15 It’s so much deeper than projection. It’s psychological and spiritual warfare. It’s not a topic just to simply “scratch the surface” on. There’s SOOOOO much to unpack here.
She still doesn't understand. Said a whole bunch of nothing
!!!!
All I heard was that her mom and other siblings were lightskin and that she has never experienced colorism etc blah blah blah
What do yall want her to say?😂
She probably ain't effected by it stop tryna make dark skin people victims
@@topgirl8533apologize to her fans first and foremost
That was such an unintelligent conversation, it’s laughable 😂
It was giving ignorance so baddd
Exactly like I wasn’t expecting some Harvard think piece but yikesssssss
Especially when Miami said it gives projection and the fans are mad!
I was saying to myself ….where is the point where she gets it?
@@TinyyTinkerbell the point wasn’t in the room lol
Kash even came out saying that a producer wouldn't work with her because shes darkskinned so it'll only be a matter of time

That’s awful!
Such an awful thing to say…
Right because they’re delusional to it, it hurts so much harder when they don’t see it coming.
Sadly a lot of producers are like this😫🤦🏾♀️
This is just my opinion but I think she didn't want to be seen as a victim of sorts.
Very good point!
The crazy of this society. We all see it but no one better speak on it! Like a grapist That silences it’s victim through threats
Not the flashback within a flashback within a flashback 😂. Keep the same energy chioma!
And she did!
Not saying shes not a legitimate example of it because she is, but to be constanly attatched to something like that and it doesnt change anything about her career.
that’s been her whole point from day one but ofc ppl wanna act dense😒
It’s honestly annoying how they refuse to acknowledge this part of the conversation. Why not respect her wishes and support her music instead of using her as the face of a colorism debate.
Right!! Their making her the face of colorism. That’s taking away from her image as an artist because all the focus on her has shifted to her being unappreciated in the industry and victimized.

Very true
Black men have options and don’t want y’all!! Get over it
And where do you think the root of that self hate began….slavery.
We tried to tell you when will people learn to listen to black woman? 😑
Her saying played out narrative is crazy
Let’s send Flo love because clearly she doesn’t see herself being deserving of a bigger platform and audience.
Kashdoll always said it didn’t affect her either later down the line she hopped on social media talking about a producer/engineer that straight up told her she couldn’t have 1 of his beats unless she put a light skin girl on the song too
I’m a silent watcher but the song at the end eats❤
She doesn’t understand at all she thinks that we’re discrediting her career. That’s not the case we’re saying she should be further along and then the fact that the light skin woman like Carisha, who clearly still doesn’t understand what’s happening is trying to validate those invalid opinions.
Caresha isn't light skinned though...
Caresha is not light skinned. She is brown and would definitely not pass the paper bag test. Not to mention she said colorist stuff before.
Thanks for speaking on this topic, all woman who claim black should be educating others on this societal norm!

I went through this as a child in the 80s you would think by almost 2025 we would have evolved a lot more as a people but it seems we have not
I’m sorry 😢 you went through that love.
I feel like this has to do with her being pregnant… like she’s thinking about if she has a daughter and all of the negativity that’s going to be attached to her now that she’s a baby mama
I think kashdoll felt she was above colourism because of her hair texture.
She got that wake up call when that producer rejected her because of her skin tone…
Flo Milli is literally A Model.❤
@ what you invite into your life as reality will become reality… like I said, I don’t necessarily agree but others are allowed to have different perspectives on what they choose to accept without judgment or saying they lack knowledge
My mother is one of these people who does not Feed into colorism and racism. A brown skin woman with a brown skin daughter (me)…. We don’t have to believe the same things to respect each other’s differences or build healthy relationships

This video was very well done. Chioma! I loved hearing your pov a few years ago with your more raw delivery lol
I think the reason some of them are denying that colorism exist, is because they don't want to be black balled by the industry.
I find it very ironic that that young lady chose that particular show to go on & talk about colorism. 🤔
yea tbh.
REALestate 😊
I think they just want to remain unproblematic. Because when darker women are vocal on these topics they are deemed as problematic
colonizers have really done a number on black people and it’s just so crazy to realize daily. conversations are good but they’re not going to help this issue. black people need to do the work and actually create their own platforms. the audience is always there.
I think she was saying that she didn't have much money and she's happy with what she has now. It's a lot of money to HER. So she doesn't want her career to be based on negativity. She's ok with the money that she has now.
She’s so Humble 😊
Thank you for speaking on this matter, again! It is still very much needed, unfortunately.
I also believe it's taken longer for her more because of being from Alabama.
There's a difference between dark skin and attractive vs dark skin and unattractive. She may not experienced it because she actually attractive.
im going to be honest, to a degree, it still kinda feels like she doesnt completely understand it. i'll still always root for her success tho
I really enjoyed the way you did this video. No background music was a good choice ☺️🙏🏿
FLo deserves her FLOWERS 💐 she’s always ate and will continue to eat
I think people truly don’t understand the definition or examples of colorism. People think the isms have come with hate and violence but it’s honestly the micro aggressions
Lolll “need my check on Friday , I’m calling you a muddasucka “ always cracks me up 😂
Maybe in trippin but she’s had her own little spill biting back when her fans are trying to support her.
If it wasn't her experience, why do people wanna force her to say its that way?

its not that she's not supposed to be there, it means she would be further if she was lighter.

We have to be careful in our own community to not let this be divisive .....
We can't say something is colorism and then be evil to our own people
For instance I am a lightskinned african american woman who encounters
mean girl behavior from my darker sisters because of the shade brown I was born with ....

Or tell her she’s delusional
That is a nice set.

I think we already saw an equal example of mediocre vs talent with Latto and Ice spice they’re both lighter skinned but the ppl gravitated more towards ice spice and I still don’t understand why maybe because she was more popular with gen z and also gen a
Ice Spice is marketable in numerous markets because she's Dominican and speaks with Spanish-tinged vocal inflections.

Use diverse media
Include diverse skin tones in books, movies, television shows, dolls, and toys.
Talk about it early and often
Silence can lead to shame, so it's important to talk about colorism early and often.
Monitor for mean language
Be aware of mean language and put-downs in the conversation.

Not true. Colorism goes on within all races and nationalities not just American Black ppl.

Thats the madness and the sadness in it
