Thanks.. turned out well for a ‘out of the box kit’. Working on a Hellcat brush paint video at the moment, it’s looking quite nice as well. Will have to get the airbrush fired up again at some point.. I’ll not get any better at painting with it if I don’t practice ha ha! Glad you liked the brush paint results 😀👍
What an awesome job your doing on that tank. Im in the process of building a M1A1 Abrams, dont own a airbrush so ive been looking for ideas on hand painting camo. Love your work & sure will use it for reference on my build. Off to watch the weathering video next. You have a new subscriber here. Keep up the wonderful work & hello from the States 🇺🇲
Thanks Steve, M1A1.. the Tamiya one? I really got into maybe doing a green M1 and collected loads of reference pics. Its odd seeing them in any other colour than desert ha ha. I thought a 'what if' M1 in a Ukranian or even Polish camo scheme would be real fun to do. Thanks for the sub and commenting, it means a lot - cheers
@@modkitmayhem not Tamiya, it's actually a Academy model. It was my Dad's model he had started on after retiring. Then he passed on before he could build it. As I said I don't have airbrush YET, so it's done pretty much in drab green. To bad I can't post pics on here, it turned out pretty good I think.
The work is very impressive, 1/35 with a brush can be very challenign always hesitate to try because wont not to ruine it 😂 But this here turn out very great! And nice to see Donbass get some love too! (I know this must be a diffiicult topic in west). *But a little sidenote, dont call them rebels please.. these People just fight since years for their home and family against an ongoing threat
Thanks. It was a good challenge and shows what can be done with just a brush. The Donbas like most historical moments was an interesting topic. I’m not sure what’s happened to these ‘people’ now.. did they join Russian units or have they switched sides and are now fighting with Ukrain? I can imagine whatever happened they didn’t want their towns and villages destroyed in a special military operation’. Hopefully when things get back to normal, peace will be valued for a long time in the region.
@@hairystickmodelling6954 I use my iPhone (8 plus) on a little Manfrotto tripod. I never zoom more than 1.5x as the image becomes noisy. It’s not an ideal set-up but it works for the moment. I also use an LED tape/strip light coiled into a large baking tin diffused with baking paper to get even lighting above the model.
Never built Skif and if I’m honest not many Zvezda either in-till a few years back. Skif do look like interesting kits. I’m planning on doing Hobbyboss + Kinetic and Tamiya next. Politically I doubt I’d have done this subject with everything that’s been going on but I started this last year and it seemed an interesting topic back then. How things change..
Yes!!! Tank painted with brush! I was looking for someone who paint not with airbrush. And I love it! 😮😮😮😮😊
Great stuff, check out my Hellcat vid.. some more hand painting tips on there as-well 👍😀
Scale modeling is not only enjoyable, it is rewarding and challenging. Keep building more please.
Yet its a great hobby Peter.. working on new videos at the moment!
Can't wait for the weathering!
Very inspiring job for us brush painters!
Thanks Nereo, will try to get the next video up as soon as I can. 😀👍
scale model making/painting is probably one of the most comfotable forms of entertainment to consume
Hi Adam, a few people have said that. Glad you are enjoying content 😀👍
Man, hand-painting a 1/35 model and that's your result? I'm thoroughly impressed, jaw-dropping!

@@modkitmayhem nice idea with the lighting. I think that's what let's me down and I end up with a focused, but grainy picture
@@hairystickmodelling6954 for sure it’ll help with that! I think my light setup was less than £30 in the end!
The Founder of Zvezda has at least an ukrainian name^^
Have some Zvezdas? also get some Skiefs^^
