There is a serious problem when combo can reliably beat aggro. Standard needs more tech like Loatheb to keep combo in check when the devs aren't available to nanny
What genuine aggro deck is gonna run a card like loatheb in current standard tho, like the treant druid he played in the first match doesn't really have room for a 5 mana card just in case they run into a combo deck
@croutons4salad613 Any aggro slower than pirate rogue in Wild runs loatheb and nothing in standard would ever be faster than pirate rogue. 5 mana is a fine topend when at worst it forces your opponent to maneuver awkwardly and at best it locks them out of a crucial board clear or their entire turn/combo

Hey guys...remember when Denathrius came out...and his ability to hit face coupled with Brann made the combo extremely broken....and they kept nerfing other little cards around the combo but not touching the combo at all....and every other broken interaction Brann enabled....and instead of just removing Brann from Standard they kept skirting the issue....Glad they learned from that lesson.

The three biggest issues with Hearthstone for the longest time has been 0 Cost Cards, Infinite Value Cards, and Alternative Win Conditions. 0 Mana Cards leads to Combo oversaturation until the point where they win faster than Aggro decks, and Infinite Value Cards are a tool for Aggro decks to utilize to never run out of resources and keep doing things long after they should have run out of cards which punishes Control decks for trying to grind and out resource their opponent, and Alternative Win Conditions are for Control decks to address the Infinite Value problem by giving them a way to end the game before it even becomes a problem, they just need to stall long enough until it becomes active, which results in them being able to beat Aggro decks but they get shafted even harder by Combo decks. This is not a very well-balanced game of Rock, Paper, Scissors. Sometimes Paper somehow ends up beating Scissors by dismantling it before it can even do anything.
I have crafted this deck, seems like it is just luck on how good your card draw is.... And I dont have that great draw, I get stuck with the 1 cost spells every game

uploading games where u have Thaddius and Slime in your hand, arent representative. Been playing this a bit and while i suck at the deck, its nowhere near as consistent as you make it out to be.
it is surely frustrating and thaddius IS the problem but this deck is abysmal and simply can't win unless oppo draws so bad that concedes before you even close the otk.
@@6BlitZo9 yes. Between opponents out-tempoing you and constant risk of burning cards unless you get perfect curve/draws, you often end up being forced to go all in and have no sludges or not sufficient board clears to go face.
I literally uninstalled the game after losing on turn 6 against this deck, Standard mode having an OTK on turn 6 is a complete joke I used to play ranked Wild but got tired of seeing bs broken decks in wild so i switched back to standard, but it seems like there's no difference between these 2 game modes lol
I hate warlock with a passion. Every iteration has cards with absolutely no counter. Sludge warlock literally wins on turn 5 without playing a single card beforehand. How did they not nerf this a long time ago? Change the cost of card so they're not all odd. It's ridiculous.
went couple games against dk, always lost, bad card draws looking for combo, so deck really luck dependable, and atm 90% decks run against dk, deck need improvements
well. I'm not as good a player as chump but this deck really wasn't consistent for me. the meta still feels very aggro and this deck has low amont of response to that
I think a reasonable nerf to the Arcanist would be changing its Battlecry. "Your spells can't damage heroes this turn" So you can aim spells at their face all you want, their damage will be zero. It weakens or disables a lot of kills from hand, something Blizzard said they wanted to do away with.

I'm merely saying that spells that can deal face damage without targeting face break the intent behind the Arcanist even though they don't break the text. As far as that other card is concerned, revert the Thad changes and unleash him on Wild.
It's not that much of a problem. It's very susceptible to disruption and other otk decks can be equally fast. It also needs practice, you can easily mess up your go off turn as animations are really slow. But yes, if you get good draws, and opponent is slow or doesn't play disruption, you will have some free wins.
This Otk is way better with the Robot that tosees everything Out of Your Deck that didnt start there even playable in this Deck with the 11 mana 11 Hand cards card
Hot(?) take: I like Thaddius. I miss the days of shirvallah OTK paladin, malygos druid, topsy turvy priest. I also hated the Stormwind meta enough to quit the game for several months, so i don't just find combo metas inherently fun. It's possible he does need a nerf and I'm ok with that if so. I just think people are reacting the way they do when they get OTK'd by any deck. It's just the mana cheat cards that are really exacerbating the problem, but they aren't the card that actually "wins" the game, so they don't get the heat.

Yes but the copy summoned by Sludge is a "new" copy that starts with its polarity set to Odd.

Did you play this deck? You consistently win on turn 6 or 7, the main weakness is the animation time which can make you lose when you had lethal
