The best guitarist no one had ever heard of. What a gifted dude. And the chops to step into it with rock royalty like Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce. Kid had some stones!
I agree with you my friend"Seven Moons"…it's probably the best album Robin Trower record ever made without James Dewar as the lead vocalist and bass player...... Jack Bruce is absolutely phenomenal on that record.
always loved jacks bass, i usually like guys who play straighter but he can be busy as hell but still very musical with it and fitting in the song, no an easy thing to do, mans a fucking legend..
Omg dude. Let me just ask tho what literly anyone that read this comment of yours is thinking...... Um...How the heck did your pants get do lucky mister! Um....how bout in my mouth next time please....? FUhhhhh. Yea. Thanks. Hehe 😍 Chat me up on the email sometime huns buns!. #stophate #dontjudge #madHaterzindisbish
You're definitely right. Baker is playing incredibly light. That's very unlike what you usually hear and see out of him. When you listen to like cream live at the Fillmore wheels of fire, you can hear Jack's bass going all over the place. And it's incredible he's the man, but I think he's probably holding back a little bit here to let this young boy shine.I think Blues saraceno is one of those dudes who kind of flew under most people's radar and never really got the recognition he deserved. I mean I know he has a following & all,but he deserves to be up there with a lot of other big-name guys like Gilbert, Bettencourt,Satch,Vai ...etc. you get the idea. Although it took me five years to run across this video...lol.....(R.I.P. Jack).
Saw them in December of 89. The Chandelier Ballroom, Hartford WI. Drove nearly 3 hours to arrive. I was 23. Cold night. Mainly because the car heat was broken. Was worth it.
No I think you've got it a little wrong. The kid is 17 years old has probably never played on a stage this big with his superheroes. Sure he overplayed but so many people overplay that it really makes you understand how great Eric Clapton really is. Not just his chops but his MUSICALITY and feeling for the music that he is playing when he's playing it. Just like I did when I was a teenager sometimes I'm only really listening to Ginger and Jack. They were by far the greatest drum and bass duo of their time. As a matter of fact I cannot think of a bass and drum do all that has ever been better in rock music. Bonham and Jones were good Buddy Miles and Billy Cox were also great but for totally different reasons. Anyways.. don't be so hard on the kid. He got better.
I always wished I could play guitar like Blues Saraceno, but I can never grow hair like that so I think it's out of the realm of possibility at this stage of my midlife crisis........"Beware of mean old mister Baker"
I saw them on this tour at the Ritz in NYC. They were tight. I am in the minority with regard to Saraceno. I didn't care for his over the top playing or tone. He at least at that time, was not nearly seasoned or inventive enough to be playing with Jack and Ginger. His solos tended to stay in one spot with no regard for the chord changes lyricism or dynamics. It's like Slash playing with Jack and Ginger. No sir.
I agree, not a great match in Blues Saraceno. However, I do have to give it to Blues for the excellent sense of rhythm here and his note selection was good too. Just the wrong style for the song.
Pretty poor playing all the way around. Blues’ playing doesn’t do justice to the song at all. The rest of the band sound pretty out of their element as a result. I love Saraceno but this just doesn’t work at all. Great player but wrong player for the job.

Bruce’s voice had aged wonderfully.
Saraceno is awesome!! plays with passion and soul : his vibrato is amazing!
Killer vibrato! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🎸🎼🎶🎼🎶
Blues seriously is one of the bests
Blues just holding back with the volume almost closed for the verses with explosions of "I can play here" LOL
yeah, cool trick, i try to do that too. ooh first lead part just cut in! explosion! yes, lol.
I saw them on this tour at the belly up tavern in salona beach San diego. about 150 people , it was incredible.
what a voice .
saw them at Biddy Mulligans in Chicago same crowd size
The most badass profile pic ever fender jazz 62 guy...,
I remember seeing these guys play together with my dad at small club in Philadelphia. A long time ago.
My favorite is the stuff Jack Bruce did with Robin Trower like BLT. Love Blues too, great musicians!
I agree with you my friend"Seven Moons"…it's probably the best album Robin Trower record ever made without James Dewar as the lead vocalist and bass player...... Jack Bruce is absolutely phenomenal on that record.
I really like the words to White Room as well as obviously the music.
always loved jacks bass, i usually like guys who play straighter but he can be busy as hell but still very musical with it and fitting in the song, no an easy thing to do, mans a fucking legend..
The best
Perfectly
Id crap my pants if I was 17 yrs old playing with the cream
That would make for and interesting smell on stage.

Interesting approach. Jack’s voice is great here.
The Original cant be surpassed . But this is interesting , different - and weirdly cool !
Love Blues Saraceno
Damn good...different. But damn, love it.
Blues Saraceno
Born October 17, 1971
WOW!
TOTALLY AWESOME!
great show!
Awesome guitar from Blues Saraceno....
Hot Damn outrageous!
wow, Baker plays light

He seems too laid back…I suspect the old morphine…
1:44 Ginger drops a stick. Never seen him drop a stick before.
sick bass too omg..
I saw 'em Jan. '90, week before they were on Letterman...
Saw them in December of 89. The Chandelier Ballroom, Hartford WI. Drove nearly 3 hours to arrive. I was 23. Cold night. Mainly because the car heat was broken. Was worth it.
I saw this tour at the Newport Music Hall in Columbus, Oh, a couple of months earlier. I thought the guitarist was kind of young.
Did Cream really need Clapton? Jack Bruce is (was) brilliant on his own.
If this was 1990, Blues would've been at least 19.... not 17.But the kid could definitely rip it up. Great performance.
It is the beginning of '90 and he is 18
Bruce said: Blues was born in 1973.
1990 minus 1973 is 17. What are we talking about?
1971 but it doesn' t matter anyway
Yeah...big fun of him. phrase, phrases, phrases and a vibrato from another world. Very mature approach of this song for his age
It does; Bruce was wrong about that. But we don't like him because of his lexical knowledge. ;-)
Ginger cracks up after dropping a stick at 1:44.
WE were all hoping Eric would show up as he was in NYC. Didnt happen , but the show was fun with their Van Halen shredder (a bad fit really)

Blue has a bodyguard. Not surprising.
Uuuuhhhh

Was Alex making his Wha back then?
saw this concert, who is this kid from Connecticut who is playing with legends?
Blues Saraceno, of course.

the guitar is bigger than blue
I think Blue's hair is bigger than the guitar...lol
Poor jack must of been really Ill,,,
4:01. 4:53
F%^%&ing A!!!
Not all gigs are great ones...
his vibrato is too wide on the 5/4 intro section imho the rest is next level shit....
Ehhhh. Good solo , but that’s about it
Just what I was thinking.. the guitarists ryhtem was lacking some. But then again, it could be the sound quality??
It was really just one position of a pentatonic... over and over and over. Not Blues's best (by far), but it was the best part of this performance.
Peter is not at his best.....

WTFRU?
Kid was probably thinking Clapton pfff ill carve that ol geeza up drunk and stoned in my sleep 😅 i know i would 😎
