Yknow I used to osoto gari off a headlock in wrestling quite a bit. Happy to see a high level judoka demonstrate the same

Your educational videos on Judo for grappling and BJJ are the most cohesive and systematic, thank you very much for your work! Your approach to teaching really helps me see the entire standing game a lot clearer 💜

Glad it helps! If you can rotate between these (there are more), and your opponent doesnt know which is coming, it is very helpful. Dont need all of these though. just a few of them and the ability to misdirect using them.

My "thing" is karate but I took 4 1/2 year away to study attending night classes. In the last academic year I had 2 semester left and joined the university judo club. As student it was for free - which I could afford. Must admit I was first surprised and very impressed with how strong the females were & yet stell feminine. On graduation I went back to karate - the benefit and advantage judo gave me was superb. I used the head lock a lot. I taught the students the basics I knew and they really appreciated it. So to the gurlls consider judo you will be amazed at the skills you develop. To the karateka - do some judo even if only for a year or two. Dont concern about grading - just learn - you will do yourself a favour you never regret. Osu to the judoka - yoi guys are special 👍

Crisp techniques. Thank you for sharing. Question. Do you cover self defense situation at your dojo? scenario where one is defending themselves. And applying these techniques with punches being thrown? Osu

Yes, sometimes. Although it isn't the primary focus. People ask me about this too and I will address it as they come.
