He was stopped yet again just for taking picture in public. Why do the police seem to have an issue with the millions of private cameras here in the UK ? is it because they don't like being held accountable ?
Do you get the impression that the police would have preferred the camera phone did not get invented ? The police used to have the monopoly with the CCTV system but now the smartphone has taken over and started to show the public what the police are really like. Only recently the police have moaned on national news that people are recording them failing to do their job properly.

If this guy was holding a knife instead of a camera...they would have walked right past him
Police: why are you taking pictures?
Answer: 'cos I have a camera.
@cult Watch your taking the piss right
Meanwhile round the corner the modep thieves were ripping phones out of tourists hands.
🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣
:(
What an outstanding gentleman, well handled with those three corporate drones. you are a legend, keep up what you are doing.
‘Lack of resources....lack of resources’. 3 clowns in costume harassing a law abiding citizen with a camera.
Yes this excuse about lack of resources is infuriating. What they mean is they lack resources when it comes to burglary/theft/damage etc but if you dare right an abusive comment on twitter or say "shit" in public they will come down on you with the full force of the law. The police now are lazy, stupid and command no respect. Just look at the buffoons on this video. They can barely string a sentence together and look comical in their oversized hats as they stand in the usual police posture of hugging their own tits.
Jay Lamb all cop 👮♂️ nosy cunts
Makes sense to me. Smh.
Be fair...It's a fairly 'Uniform' costume and their noses will be only slightly redder than their faces when then comprehend they have NO SPECIAL RIGHTS OVER NORMAL CITIZENS...
The only answer is, "it's none of your business".
The guy filming handled the situation well. I'm still waiting for this "Not Normal" law to come into effect. :)
Probably same time as the looking suspicious , and in this day and age law
So true. Every time some thing happens the police ask for pictures and clips. But they hassle people taking pictures and clips.
if he told them "well next time they complain there's somebody taking pictures tell them there's nothing to police can do. that's actually doing your job, not this." THEN I would say he handled the situation well. He handled the situation like a pussy... and reaffirmed their imaginary rights to harass people for no reason. boo...
When he said "is this to prevent crime " he should have said no, that's your job, remember when you used to do that lol.
And when there is a terrorist incident what do the cops want? They want people who may have photos or video of or near the incident to come forward with their images. Oh the irony.
That's a great point
Exactly!
10/10 comment
Very good point when police want the footage it’s ok but when public want it for personal use then don’t like it’s like my ring door bell turn it off by police and local council but when a person got stabbed out side my home they asked for the footage but I said it’s not on
What an intelligent and well mannered man whom humiliated and owned the rats in nazi style costumes
who, not whom ffs!!!
@@adamclark1972uk If you wish to discuss grammar you should start sentences with a capital letter. Further more I can not find the word "ffs" in the English dictionary and finally you need to end a sentence with a full stop. Therefore your handing out of advice on grammar is hilarious.
@@adamclark1972uk This must be one of the idiotic flat footers in the video.
@@bannon1000 I love this shit! Have your thumbs up Random Internet Stranger.
They should be more worried about knives than cameras.
Agreed. Since when did a camera stab someone
The camera is the eye witness that cannot be intimidated
So the police are going to have to come see him multiple times in the next week for doing something that is legal. Ok then.
Kiran Govind it’s just their attempt at having the last word. Very childish.
I love it the way you told him don't hurry me up and don't be disrespectful great stuff
No need for an explanation. Talked way too much. That's what they want. Don't answer their questions.
Well done bruv, one thing cops can't stand is someone more articulate and wiser than they are.
From around 6:15 SWAT puts a lot of authority and force into his speech. That really puts the police back into their box, though they still had to try one last time to intimidate by stating that they would speak with SWAT again if he carried on filming. The correct reply is "I don't care".
It seems like harassment if they keep interrogating him about taking photographs after he's explained what he's doing.
your first response shoulda been " its none of your god dam business why im taking pictures and what im using them for, " and then shoulda walked away
You're right. Talking to them is playing their game.
@@seventysevencats its not illegal to take pictures or film in public at all, so there is 0 reason to explain your self , its like stopping at a red light, then a cop asks you why you stopped.... lol
@@AngryMaximus they could make up something about taking pics of kids. seize the camera, maybe even find a shot of a kid which could then lead to having your house searched. maybe thats when they find a little weed or something. best not play games with cops.
Camera guy needs to quit talking after he’d explained it once! 🙄 Bye Bye 👋 plod 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
I'm old enough to be your dad 😂 classic!
How diplomatic, you were extremely polite, certain people in public office could do worse than listen to your video and adapt a more engaging dialogue as you clearly did.
Well done, society needs more people like you my friend😉👍
Police officers schooled, excellent and about time law abiding people were treated with respect!
Forget the police stopping him for for taking pictures. He has a great voice.
I'm sure 1984 should be in the factual section of the book shop.
His vest says officer not constable. No service required thank you. No contracting with you.
Well said mate !
When the copper said.."its a bit strange taking photos".. he should day.." I beg your pardon..taking photos? It's probably the most common pastime in the WORLD...what's strange about that? Then I'm in public..I'll take photos of everything and everything want..its not against the law.
LOL, a photographer taking photos is suspicious how, that's like saying a painter is painting a wall is suspicious, get a grip met police.
Should be titled, "How to make someone look like a right c*nt".
I'll take the States over the UK any day but I got to give it to the folks over there on the communication front. They do such a better job articulating their opposing views without escalation than us Yanks do.

He lives there ffs...
They do like butting in. It’s no crime taking photos in a public place. Well done to you.
The copper said that taking pictures is "strange"?.
I would say that approaching and questioning a man who is going about his lawful business and who is participating in a completely legal activity is "strange".
Everyone who walks down the street is in possession of a camera, if they take their camera out and take a picture, does that make them "strange".
Does that copper have scabbies or something?
Scabies lol
They all got scabies and some r even scabbie lol
He did it when his mom caught him with his hand in the cookie jar. It’s intended to look cute so the adult doesn’t kill him. Now, as an adult, he still does it when he is caught misbehaving. Just my analysis.
Very well said . As somebody once said , trying to debate with somebody with neither logic or reason , is like giving giving medicine to a dead man .
the respectable, soft spoken, informed gentleman behind the camera is a legend,,,,i loved this video not only for the way he handled these goons but for the way that he humiliated them in a very polite way.....keep talking and taking photos man..u are super free.....take care.
Fair play to the guy though....he put these pricks in their place.
encapsulation these “pricks” would be the first people you would call if someone was threatening your life or raping a member of your family! Would you rather live in a society with no police? Good luck with that!
@The Risen another brain dead troll hiding behind his tablet / keyboard throwing out insults because he thinks it makes him a man!
@@Carfilliot and so they should be the people they call if they need assistance, it doesnt mean they should be happy to be harrassed for carrying out a lawful and legal activity.
I typed in Nazi Brown shirt thugs in 1940’s Berlin and this came up.
You cannot be serious 🤣
WHAT part of THERE IS NO RIGHT TO PRIVACY IN A PUBLIC PLACE do the Police NOT UNDERSTAND ? ? ? ?
Well done for having the upper hand mate ! You handled them well ! 👍
He has NO RIGHT to even approach you and ask you anything!
@evergreenpenguin SUSPICION IS NOT A CRIME!
ID FAIL TO COMPLY WITH ALL REQUESTS FOR INFO OR MY NAME OR ADDRESS ETC. UD FORCE THEM TO ARREST ME AND EVEN THEN STILL FAIL TO COMPLY AND ANY FINES IMPOSED WOULD BE IGNORED AND NEVER PAID
Cameras are everywhere these days. People need to get over their fears of being recorded. Criminals can stay scared, as they should.
Probably around 60 million people in the UK leave their homes every single day with a camera in their pockets, it's called modern day life probably 600 million photos were taken today and 300million videos made , I took 7 photos and did 1 10 second video.
So officers NO! there is nothing at all strange with someone taking photos.
‘Can I ask you your address?’
‘Why?’
‘Just because you said you live in the area...’ 😂
It's not okay to film criminals.... Nuff said.
Unless assistance is requested, shouldn't police restrict their their actions (which we pay for) to seeking out law breakers? They are wasting our money dealing with this law abiding gentleman and should be disciplined for such.
I love the way he shut the tyrants down using common sense and logic.
Why don't the police know the law..?? Who are these people who keep complaining? There must be an incident number that can be accessed.
Well the MET needs a good clear out then, unbelievable!!
the anglo-american world power is crumbling
Just ignore the bastards. You really do not have to engage with them on any level whatsoever. You've done nothing wrong. Public filming is not a crime ffs!
This is pure and utter incompetence by the Police. Just tell the busybodies that complained that he is perfectly entitled to take pictures.
Not only do they ask you the same question several times they repeat your answer. One would imagine they remember the responses.
When did being congenitally stupid become a requirement to be a plod?.
If you don't want your pictures taken then build a wall around your house and stay on your own property. Public sidewalk or public places you have to expect that. Best of luck from the U.S..
I wish the police would learn the law.
A perfect example of how to deal with police bullying tactics,,well done sir..
It’s very strange that the police don’t know about the camera/photography laws especially in this day and age.
See this proves that when they ask what you're doing and you refuse to say they say if you tell them they're happy and go away.
This guy tells them what he's doing and more of them turn up and they don't go away.
THIS DUDES WELL INTELLIGENT, ON POINT EVERY TIME.................
You put up a good argument with these three fishsticks...but sometimes the task is too great.
How many tourists were mugged, pick pocketed whilst they harass a legal citizen carrying out
legal activities? Then when terrorists attack they ask has anyone got any photos or footage,he also said taking photos in public is not illegal,so leave the man alone then!
Arrest me or let me go, so we can sue you in the county court!
This man is well polite and respectful the police know theres nothing wrong in photographing in public so I cannot understand the problem
The point is people become unnerved by people taking pictures apparently randomly. Including terrorism and more over inappropriate pictures of people. The man is being awkward to humiliate the police. They should have walked away from him.
Son, don't interrupt your elders! Great video.
Heres one for you guys
My neighbour was photographing a family event, a bonfire in their garden, when another neighbour called him a paedophile for photographing his own daughter who was dressed in a coat trousers scalf hat gloves .... then when she got called a " snowflake"
ask for proof of claim. suspicion is not sufficient grounds for a stop by the cops.
The questions need to be axed......
They know it's legal to take pictures...but they REENT the fact you're doing it. They're hoping to impose their will on you, their egos cannot accept you're doing something against their opinionated dislikes. No one called them out, and they are harassing you.
Don't explain anything to them. Good vid. Stay safe.
Excellent communication from the film maker. Well done my good man. 2 Constables and a Sergeant to deal with one man. It’s a shame they appear to be blissfully unaware of the Metpol policy on Photography in public brought about by disproportionate and unlawful policing of innocent members of the public engaged in a lawful activity.
No one has called, no one has complained. They are on a fishing expedition: Who are you? What are you doing? Where do you live? Turn your pockets out.............
Please allow me to let you know where you went wrong. After they asked you a question you failed to answer in police speak which is; yes sir, no sir three bags full sir.
They aren't used to the public speaking to them in normal English.
Love your videos there ace. glad I stumbled across them now, as I watch them all lol
Silence is golden
Cameramans a hero.
Don’t involve them in a conversation, they will twist your words.
well done mate remind them who is the elder and DEMANDS their respect, you were absolutely correct when you called them out for tag-teaming you, too!damn plods !!
@6:o8 because I have kids your age lol dude goes silent 🤣🤣
People have called in saying their worried! yeah right
Why don’t they go and do some proper policing 😡
I was detained by Police, Formally Interviewed, taken Home amid a Large Police Presence and had Video Files on My Computer reviewed (6 Hours total time) because I had a Small Sports Style Video Camera mounted in Plain Sight on My Electric Mobility Scooter.
Welcome to South Australia.
Problem is, IF backup didn't arrive for (taking pics), how long would this have gone on for...?
30/45/ or 1+ hour(s).
Police combined have the ability to ask the same question if a different question, which is a form of interrogation, so it does help if you say NOTHING.
Finally 1 video where people stop interrupting others
These clowns seem wholly unaware of their own Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) guidlines regarding photography, which has now been superceded by the National Police Chiefs Council, and is still the basic guideline.
Guidance for Photographers
There have been a number of recent instances highlighted in the press where officers
have detained photographers and deleted images from their cameras. I seek your
support in reminding your officers and staff that they should not prevent anyone from
taking photographs in public. This applies equally to members of the media and public
seeking to record images, who do not need a permit to photograph or film in public
places. ACPO guidance is as follows:
•
There are no powers prohibiting the taking of photographs, film or digital images in a public place. Therefore members of the public and press should not be prevented from doing so.
•
We need to cooperate with the media and amateur photographers. They play a vital role as their images help us identify criminals.
•
We must acknowledge that citizen journalism is a feature of modern life and police officers are now photographed and filmed more than ever.
•
Unnecessarily restricting photography, whether for the casual tourist or professional is unacceptable and it undermines public confidence in the police service.
•
Once an image has been recorded, the police have no power to delete or
confiscate it without a court order.
If you require further guidance please refer to the
ACPO website or contact my Staff
Officer Robin Edwards at
[email address]
.
Yours sincerely
Andrew Trotter

Strange to take pictures(looking bewildered) , then what does he think a camera for?, they be called here for what, a man harmed with a camera taking pictures?. I suggest officer you find out who that was and prosecute them for wasting police time. When some one makes a complaint they did sign that complaint with their signature, you would not be here on a whim.
No wonder when your house is broken into, they just give you a crime number for your insurance, the quicker way to get a police officer around to your house when someone as robbed you is, take out your mobile and start taking pictures and get a friend to phone them saying there`s a man taking pictures. They might even put on the blues and twos for that one, house broken into just a crime number.
So officer the real strange thing you listen to someone uninstantiated complaint and, or no evidence of wrongdoing and are wasting my time. I am very worried my hard earnt money is being wasted in paying you to waste my valuable time, answering stupid questions like , "strange to take pictures" as if you do not know what a camera for, when people have had their properties broken in to and do not get this kind of response, now i am looking bewildered?
Why is this man taking pictures is simply none of their business, so they should stop this harassment, or i would seek redress with a claim and they can come before my court and answer. This man has been more than reasonable in future i would remain silent and be proactive, remain silent not answering their questions, even by asking a question that answer theirs, now being proactive meaning, (of a person or action) creating or controlling a situation rather than just responding to it after it has happened.
Ask them questions and gather the evidence in case you need to seek redress with a claim.
They got the gall to say they heard enough, then why are they still standing there, no respect whatsoever to a man who contribute to paying them a wage, what a insult.
every1 wants to be gansta today cuz
Love this guy manner. Just straight to the point.
Tourists visit an area and call police on the locals. I now understand.
we live in a free country.... wonder off the footpaths or try to put a tent up and you'll soon find out just how free we really are. I was taking photos of my own kids in Folkestone a couple of years ago and was approached by 'security' and told I couldn't! I had a similar conversation to that in this video (mine became a little more animated than his). The point is.... it makes you feel violated doesn't it? Oh ...and we're all being filmed all the time without anyone's permission. We in the UK and most filmed people anywhere in the world. You can't walk from one street to the next without being picked up on a camera. He should have said to that police guy 'if they haven't done anything wrong then they've got nothing to worry about'
Ridiculous, to be stopped twice by police for taking photos during /around Wimbledon. Especially during the tennis.
Personally, I would turn the argument back on to the polic e, and ask 'have you got something to hide? Why are you so paranoid about me taking photos'?? Also, explain to them that my activity may, one day be instrumental in SOLVING a SERIOUS crime, so they should be thankful, instead of causing such a kerfuffle. You did touch on that near the end, so kudos to you. They need conditioning by the public to think differently. WE ARE NOT THE ENEMY!
Nice to see our taxes being put to good use... Is taking photos against the law? No! End of... Move on... Do something useful...
"People weirded out" - Doesn't matter at all... There is no law against other folks silly reaction.
Sigh ...How stupid do you have to be, to ask a question and the ignore the answer, then ask the same question a couple more times???....
They said that they know he’s not doing anything wrong. So why do they stay discussing nothing?
'A bit strange taking pictures'. That's what cameras do officer. If the MET would like to know what people do with bikes, books or shoes, please get in touch.
