JLew NEEDED game 1, it was obvious he couldn’t win the stamina battle, so when he lost the one game he had fresh legs and was actually killing it, it was over. Insane performance anyway, went toe to toe with a pro. Nothing but respect

there is a very stark difference. consistency and shot making. JLew eventually wasnt able to get to the spots on the floor that he wanted to get to. he couldnt stop Trey from getting to the spots that he wanted to get to. Trey's ability stay locked in on pull ups and knock them down in rhythm, from distance at that, was years of professional training on display. pros are pros for a reason.

@@hossrendricks1716 Yeah there was a lot of physicality and it looks like that had a greater effect on JLew getting more tired. Also, making jumpshots probably played a role, it's easy to get tired quickly if you have to drive it for almost all your points like JLew did in a high intensity, physical, 1v1 game like this.

I think top priorities for JLew are his stamina/fitness and a reliable jump shot. When Jlew is fresh, almost nobody can guard him on the scene. Some of the best, legit and legal handles on YT period and can get to the rim at will. But those moves also come with a price - they cost a ton of energy. And once your legs are sapped, your bag becomes alot more shallow. JLew is built like a precision fighter who has to finish a fight in the first 1-2 rounds. Going the distance is not really an option atm because he just doesn't have a big enough gas tank. Trey, on the other hand, looks like just a well-seasoned, poised veteran. His stamina is elite - his offensive moves and defense do not seem to have a drop off rate as time passes. He gets to his spots and takes shots he's comfortable with. Has fluid 3 point range which allows him to conserve energy. Definitely LEVELs to this. You can tell why this bro has been in the league. Pros are just built different.

I keep thinking Jlew should put on weight and muscle to stop people from interfering with his finish but it might take away from his speed and finesse. If you gonna stay small you gotta start calling foul when they’re grabbing your hip, muscling, and riding you to the hoop. I know you don’t want to but you need to bro. Tbh this shows me why simplicity is so great when done to perfection. If your midrange or soft touch around the rim is so great all you need is a few jab steps and couple dribbles towards the basket and you can drop 7 points straight off a great pull up game or a great layup or hook, floater etc… game no matter the defense
The extra dribbling really does nothing but burn gas and cause you to stay in remotely the same spot if not exactly the same spot

I was worried about bro in the 1st game because all that driving kills stamina. I normally, shoot more 3s in 1v1 and get stops and my shooting percentage can keep me up. I thought the 1st game was a lil cheating not letting him call his foul. That was clearly blocking.
