was expecting the “juicy” part, we missed that, but this episode is really “moving” 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 no words/no explanations but message was sent. salute to this guy 💯
Solid interview sir Mikee! The way he admitted that he was a frustrated and lost young man back in college despite his success showed his maturity beyond basketball. Sobrang ibang theme compared to your other interviews. New found respect to a player I wouldn't even know without this show. Thank you for another great content! 💪
I love the title na The Messiah. He was really that guy na hinihintay magsave nung basketball program. Though it did not happen the way we all wanted to. Pero yung pag-alis ni BJ led din naman sa pagkakasave nung Ateneo basketball program.
1st year ako nung 4th year sha sa Ateneo. Tapos tinanong daw nya si BJ bakit sha lumipat sa Lasalle, ang sagot daw ni BJ (Hindi ito verbatim) because in DLSU he saw that he could not only develop as a basketball player but also as a man. Sobrang what if kasi sobrang galing nya coming in if not for the injuries. It would've been nice to know about what really happened behind the scenes and more in basketball, but as a person it seems like he's winning in life so mad props to the perspective change due the hurdles he's had to overcome. Props to Mikee too for trying to steer the conversation as much as he could to basketball!
ANG GALING LANG TLAGA! GANDA NG TRANSSITION NG ISANG BJ MANALO PARA AKONG NANONOOD AT NAKIKINIG NA ISANG PASTOR NA NAGSASALITA..IN A POSITIVE WAY..GOD BLESS U MORE SIR BJ MANALO AND ALSO SIR MIKEE
One of the first and major sports heartbreaks I remember having as a kid was when BJ decided to go to La Salle. As a young Atenean it hurt to lose BJ but it cut deeper that of all the places he could go to, he decided to go with our bitter rival. That has been a sore spot for alot of Ateneans for years to come, following his departure -- but this episode! It is always different from the outside looking in, so thank you Mikee for giving us a glimpse into "The Decision". It wasn't easy! BJ! God bless, wish you all the best!
Nakaka touch tong interview na to! Thank you sir Mikee! It's really obvious na sir Bj Manalo is happy now. His heart is in the right place. So proud of him!
God doesn’t call you to be successful, He calls you to be faithful! It’s not a religion, It’s a relationship with the Lord that matters! Thanks for this content mikee! Sana marami maka panood nito segment with bro bj manalo.
BJ was one of d two guys who brought me in a stretcher to d clinic when I hyperventilated during a Youth for Christ meeting. Felt sorry about his career-ending injuries. Superb basketball player!
thanks Mikee for putting BJ, as a fellow 'blue' archer I really saw his maturity from a hot shot in ateneo, to a facilitator/ orchestrator in dlsu. Yes, he is one of the many 'what if' players in the pros but still one of the more better shooters at his time.
I really don't know this guy, I heard his name first in Wesley Gonzales interview. BJ Manalo and Paul Artadi is the best example in this world. People change with God ♥️
What a story. Grabe. Alam natin di talaga sya comfortable telling the nitty gritty details but I believe he said enough. He's truly blessed beyond belief.
Hindi sinabi ni BJ na na draft sya ng purefoods noong 2005 at pinapa pirma sya ng rookie contract at tumanggi sya. Very humble talaga, rookie of the year pa ng UAAP srs ito 1999.
