In today's episode we venture out to the English countryside to an abandoned building that has been said to be one of the uks most haunted places. Once inside this abandoned building we started out ghost hunt/paranormal investigation and soon found out why this place has a haunted history to it, from disembodied voices, explainable knocks and bangs and even whispers calling our names, with a little bit of digging we found out this place was built over 200 years ago and rumors have it the old land lady still walks the corridors here.

The house itself is a lot older, The hilltop building, a three-storey victorian residence built by George Goodwin of Staffordshire in 1850 as a gothic-style manor house, Wolstenholme Hall, was used as a hospital between 1920 and 1977.
After lying abandoned for many years, the building was bought in the 1980s by Whitbread, who restored the building and added substantial extensions to the ground floor.
It was subsequently bought by Andrew’s father Rodney Nutter in 2003, and was the home of Nutters Restaurant until 2021.
Oh wow thank you so much for this, it really does have some history to it
@@MoxleysParanormalWorld You are welcome Mox..
Wow how cool. Gotta a lot of history to it. Thanks for sharing. 😊✌️💞
Thank you.
The old pub you're referring to about 31 mins in, which is haunted by the former landlady is Owd Betts which is further up the road
Found out the building was used as a Hospital between 1920 and 1977 after lying abandoned for many years. The building was then bought by Whitbread in the 1980’s, so I would think there have been a lot of deaths here. Amazing building such a shame it’s been left to decay. Fantastic investigation guys, thank you so much xx👻xx
Wolstenholme Hall

That stonework is amazing. I hope that building is saved.
Only 28 years old?! Wow..
The sound of that rainwater would drive me crazy
It was built in 1850 by George Goodwin . Its way more older than 28 years old . It has history .
Needed this video! I had flu last week an now got touch pneumonia! Plus stomach issues! It's been crazy lately! Seems like sickness in US sky rocketed last month.

Roll on Wednesday for my Mox fix xxx
Woop woop
could it have been the room in the basement that they were talking about the hole? they back filled the room so maybe thats where something bad happened. and it did say something about a cover for the hole too.
yep i knew when you walked in it was way older than it seemed for sure.
im wondering if they called that blocked off room "the hole" i feel like thats where they put people for punishment, not sure why but thats the feeling i get,
would love to see a full investigation here, in that room and all over lol its just so creepy
thank you Mox ! loved it,

Beautiful building ❤
That place is making you think one thing when it could be another 🤗👍🙀😳
Fantastic building mox such a shame it looks like water damage more than anything . Wonder if there was someone buried in that cellar that's why you herd the sound of a pipe that was made.⭐❤
Mox this building is years old it would not be that decayed by 28yrs I would say maybe 100yrs the way it as rotted so quick the roof as caved in check it out keep the paranormal spirit talker stay safe guys 👍👍👍👻👻👻👻
Things were built to last back in the day, shame nobody restored it, fascinating place, a lot of history here, and yes i think spirits come back to there local every now n then, thankyou 🙏
Thank you and yeah Julie totally agree can't wait for the 2nd one.💙
I second that mate
Thanks again for sharing another interestng place Mox. If i do hear anything about the building ill let you know. It was THE place to go once uponba time when Nutters had it, although i never did get there. Interesting building though with some quirky bits and weird responses. Thanks Mox was 544 in chat woohoo in the end....congrats. Roll on next Moxday. Take care mate xxxx
Bit more info; was originally called Wolstenholme Hall and was built in 1880 by Harold Shawcross a member of the Council. In 1925 it was offered to the council free of charge as a TB Sanatorium. In the 1980s it became a nighclub called The Manor and had a Wacky Warehouse upstairs.
Gaynor 💙 what you mean by Nutter's is that there name. Just asking.
Andrew Nutter bought it and is a professional chef
Thank you so much for the History gaynor this is why I love you all you go above and beyond to help with history
Aww anytime Mox got a lot of respect for you xxx
You make a great team 👍
Backfill from all the work and extensions that have occurred on the building.
Just wonder what level the original pub was on?
A lot of old pubs didn't have cellars.
I just love it
when you climbed in the space and heard a ping noise, you didnt realise the rope hanging from roof was swaying side to side,, so creepy...40.05
It is definitely old looking at the framing. There is oak framing members. I have worked on many buildings with those kinds of construction products here in New Jersey and they normally date back to the early 1900s or earlier. I always have to give respect to the carpenters back then because it is not easy working with oak and cut nails especially when you have no power tools.
Hope you're feeling better Ming ❤
Scarecrow off of wizard of Oz, if I only had a brain. Lol seriously love this
What a beautiful but creepy looking place man like MOXLEY 👍💙💯,
I agree mate and thanks
@@MoxleysParanormalWorldMOXLEY 👍, could I ask if you got any lined up for my neck of the woods, I'm in Heysham now, but Lancaster and Morecambe area, I know you have done park hotel, and Lancaster manor house is there any more coming on the horizon and if so I know loads of stuff about my local history, but I'm not on Facebook or Instagram or anything else like that so U would have to message me through your channel. And really enjoyed tnites live along with my chihuahua m8. Good one MOXLEY 👍💙💯.
Brilliant place Moxley
I live not too far from the place & i really enjoyed your investigation & response you had be safe all my love hug’s & positive energy from Sarah in Manchester xxx 🩷💯👻👍🏻
Thank you so much sarah do you know much about the place?
@@MoxleysParanormalWorld for as long as I can remember that building has been there, when it was a pub I thought the name was something to do with the area as it’s known as owd Betts pronounced old Betts, I had 2019 Mother’s Day at Nutters & interior wise it was stunning I was quite shocked to see it in its current state but thankyou for a top video xx
I think when you said old Betty's pub I think you got it mixed up with owd betts which dates back to the 1796
Finally figured your beautiful eye color out Violet eyes like Elizabeth Taylor where . Rare and amazing color.❤
Nice Beat to that noise 😂
The music on the Trailer?
@@MoxleysParanormalWorld no inside the house 😁😁😁

Thank you so much

Should be a good one guy's 👻 👻 👍
Hope you enjoyed it
watching now as missed start😢
Hope you enjoy it matey
Every week its most haunted or most terrifying 😅
Good Evening guys 👻 👻 👍
Good evening matey
If it’s a very old building before would the foundations of the first building there be lower ?
Nutters was Wolsteinholme hall, built in 1850s. It was a hospital during WW1 apparently.
I'm now getting old regional courthouse jail vibes seeing the basement. Just my theory
The restaurant was opened in the 1980s but not Nutters. What a damned shame it used to be beautiful. I had my wedding lunch there in the 1980s. It used to be an isolation hospital for TB victims I believe back in the day. I am truely sad to see the sorry state of a place I have been many times.
Don't worry mox I tie my other halfs shoes lol
8.40 shadow walking past??? Bottom left corner
This place was called the Manor before Nutters and apparently was a small hospital at some point
I've just seen other comments, the plot thickens
This manor house was built by George goodwin in 1850 . So it much much older than you stated .
Maybe the basement is the actual pub
Is this an old video I'm sure I've seen it before?
I think it was a free masons one time Yes the building could be half and half new and old 🤗👍
Wonder was the basement a bomb shelter during the war before the built up top.
You never know
"a part for the whole" figure of speech in which a part represents the whole, as in the expression “hired hands” for workmen or, less commonly, the whole represents a part, as in the use of the word “society” to mean high society
It was a TB hospital
