Just got levels, tbh shame I bought insight 2 earlier which is more pro but this one is so much easier to use and monitor levels. Great little plugin. Liked your track also
I usually always get my tracks mastered by the guy who does all my stuff (South East Studios) but occasionally it’ll be a really tight deadline where I’ll need to do it myself or possibly the label insists on doing the mastering. I tend to like getting it done by my guy, then I KNOW it’ll sound how I want - it took me a while to find the mastering engineer who got my sound and many times when the label have said they’ll take care of it the master comes back bad (or at least not how I’d want) and it’s then in stores with nothing you can do about it.
It depends really, for my label I tend to have two different releases - one release containing the club mixes which are extended and mixed for club levels and then another release of radio edits which are mastered for streaming. However most of the time my releases on other labels are mixed for the club by a professional engineer - it's only when one might be considered a cross-over that I might get another master done but that rarely happens.
You can trust you ears but doesn't mean you discount your eyes - your ears won't be able to tell you if a track is too loud for streaming services for example
I honestly have no idea on the technical explanation between the two, a mastering engineer could probably give you a good explanation but usually if I'm going for loudness I will meter the LUFs over the decibel level.
Yes, it’s the same unit as decibel. However, LUFS meters have filtering and gating in order to display a program level closer to how our ears perceive it. Theoretically.
@@DirtySecretz awesome!!! For some reason bassroom is not accurate I high pass 300hz and it still goes into red, meanwhile the kick drum is high pass this far it loose all its meat and flesh..I msg Tom from mastering the mix. Theres alot of people with the same issues with bassroom as well. Trust my ears on this for sure.😁☺

Thanks! I have _so_ many plugins that do the same thing, you can't really bet on which one you're going to get along with!
Ur killin it richi. Great releases, remixes and yt content. Keep going bro! The gui looks good im sold. Looks mint
Thanks! :)
Love this plugin 10/10 👍🏿
Thanks for the great video!
Very informative, I'll try using that plugin, although I will still send important projects to a mastering studio ;-) .
I always send my stuff to a professional engineer before it’s released but it’s good plug-in to have when you’re creating that quick master as a demo
beautiful song Dirty Secretz - All I Want (Original mix)
i like how u xplained..
Great, how you explain things, please go ahead ;-)
Bought it... but no updates in 2 years. Would be nice to offer an overview/mini meters or just the readouts... all on one screen at a glance.
hello friend great video, could you make a tutorial about this chord sequence (rhodes) please
Will do!
Great advice Richie! Do you get your tracks mastered professionally before you send them to labels? Or does the label take care of that?

Should I be aiming for club or streaming levels if I want both? I want to sell this track at around -6 but dont want streams to squash it down.

if there's one thing I learned after 12 years of music, is trust you ears not your eyes

After 45 years of making and recording music, the thing I’ve learned is that I can’t trust my ears.

Hi there. Is LUFS (INT) almost the same with Decibel?

How far did you high pass your kick drum 30hz.?
Usually between 30 - 50hz

Does it works on iPad?
As far as I know it’s just an audio plugin for Mac/Windows
