Completely different experience for African American soldiers 💯
Because segregation was still in place even into WWII
Why does the narrator have to scream out his lines?
I'm watching without sound . Brits ,America won that war for you .
😂 You must be a yank
A shame that you are unaware of history and not epic war movies
Every one, not only for America and Great Britain but for all who fought and died for Freedom...Democracy. We fought and died for it. ❤💙👍
I think it was demonstrated in BOTH World Wars. Twice, America strained to not get overtly involved & try to let the world sort itself out without American involvement ... Once USA showed up en masse in WW1 & 2, it was decisive.
That's why I assume it was utter madness for the Japanese to attack Pearl Harbor because America lost its last excuse to stay out.
Got over being resentful.T here isnt any mention or information regarding the participation of US Afr😅ican American troops and you have delicate feelings because the narration isnt done by an American. Get over your self and educate yourself regarding real American history
Why are there no Americans narrating in these . We did most of the heavy lifting. I'm getting where I really resent this .
You did nothing, you weren't even alive. Stop taking credit for the actions of others.
The Russians paid the heaviest price...get the facts...
Because they producer did not hire an American citizen to do the narration
This series is narrated by one of Britain's biggest TV historians. He's done it all. His work is amazing. One might argue that the British have a lot of info on this war.
Just because America played a part in WW2 doesn't give you the right to narrate every documentry about it lol. Unbelievable that you think that. Plus lets be real, British narrtiaion is way better than American, some Americans can't pronouce English correctly.
The English and Canadians got the easy beaches . Americans of course took the brunt of the whole thing .
Learn some real history!
12000 aircraft at Pattons disposal and couldn't clear the cliff tops before the Rangers were sent up them.
It is true that the Americans took the most horrendous beaches at Omaha & Utah, BUT I would say it balanced out in the weeks afterwards because the British & Canadians got bogged down trying to liberate Caen, capital of Normandy. Meanwhile, the Americans swept through the Cherbourg peninsula.
12000 aircraft under the command of the USA, Typhoons, Mosquitos, Mustangs with precision rockets couldn't clear a few germans and thats not even taking into account the grand slam /tall boy bombs the could have used. Bad planning and a waste of resources resulting in many unnecessary deaths.
