This video still makes me tear up a little, no matter how many times I see it. RDR2 and Arthur Morgan is one of the greatest video games and characters of all time. I love him. And I hope I will not see him again, mostly because how complete his story is in this..

The way Arthur tells sister that he is afraid is so powerful and as emotional as Arthur gets. Up until that moment he denied the fact that his life was over but sister made him realize that, although he lived a bad life, he would die a good man. Arthur is one of the best fictional and real people I know to have ever existed and he has inspired so many to be a better person and to do good things. Thank you, Rockstar for making this magnum opus of a game and above all, Thank you, Arthur Morgan.

I think that so many people have talked about how destroyed, or heartbroken they were, being there for the story of Arthur, says a lot about how this medium has evolved and has truly become more than something that teenagers waste their time doing. It's easy to make that assumption; even if you yourself play these games. Film and television went through a similar stigma, so it's nothing new. But RDR2 is an incredible example that art can come in many forms. That's what this is. There's a certain unique quality that games can provide as well. To me, I was able to get into Arthur's head enough to feel like what it must have felt to be him during this time period, but at the same time, he also feels like a friend that you've gotten to know and be with. That's what made it so tough for me at least. If something devastating happens in a movie, you feel sympathy for those characters. But Arthur felt like a loss.
I still cry every time I see Arthur's death. I don't bawl my eyes out like I did the first time I saw it because it was so sudden because I didn't know it would happen and I honestly had started to grow an actual love for the character, but I still start to cry and have to wipe tears from my face when I see it replayed on either the video game during later runs or in a youtube video. A game has never, ever made me cry before this. Thank you Rockstar for allowing me to experience something so absolutely beautiful and heart wrenching.
