Thank you. This song came on the radio as drove home alone in the dark after my husband passed from cancer at the hosp. He played guitar also and I still have all of his guitars years later. Love your version, and I know he would too.
Excellent job. My wife could not listen to this song because her brother, a police officer, was killed at a young age and this was played at his funeral as he requested. She is now in Heaven too.
Vaccine? Many people I know are now gone. If they’re alive they’ve had strokes, heart failure etc. still people seem to think it’s normal. But hey ho… one day people might have the courage to stand up.
I am in one hospital room, in Spain, my aunty is dying, she is very ready to go and aware of the process. She's now sleep and I am playing this for her. Your version is last thing she will listen. Thank you for your music, you touch very deeply
So I'm sitting on the front poarch playing this song for a friend, I sent it for her to listen to 2 days ago. The significance to the song and the fact I sent it to her as she was literally fighting for her life after being in an awful wreck. Glad she was here to listen to it. A reminder of how fragile life is. Thank you kindly JJ.
I have chills! My brother, Ronnie could knock this song out of the ballpark vocally! He was such a great singer. This was one of the songs we played at his funeral. My Aunt found an old pic of me and him recently and shared it with me...chills...
Interesting backstory connecting some dots. GnR toured with a band called Cold Chisel, who are legendary in Australia. Chisel did a fantastic cover of KOHD, which was no doubt the inspiration for the GnR cover. The Chisel singer, Jimmy Barnes, revered here in Australia still, had a solo career , and his main guitar player was Mark Lizotte, aka Johnny Diesel, and this guitar is his signature with the Oz company, Maton, so it's a really appropriate cover.
@@jamesalec1321 There you go. I know Jimmy and Joe collaborated on Lazy for the Machinehead tribute album ( Re-machined, was it ??) but I didn't know his daughter was still working with Joe.
Dude, you are making thousands of people throw their guitars in the garbage ! Kidding inspirational really, incredible talent, Thanks so much ! Cheers bro !
Man! Dem chops. Bless ya! Bravo!!!!!! One of my favorite Dylan songs. Make You Feel My Love's another one. Thank you Justin, it's amazing what you can do with 3 or 4 chords. Beautiful sounding instrument.
my grandad passed a few days before christmas and we had this song play at his funeral, this song has alot of meaning to me and you made an incredibly soothing cover of it well played this was beautiful
As always, so soothing , and very sweet version ... will be watching this video quite often , as it means a lot to me since losing our son, at age 23 , who also played guitar. I play it out sometimes , but not so sweet 🥴🥴 Tears in my eyes ❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍
What a tune that takes my thoughts away to a better place to put big smiles on my face, I'm in hospital and I feel ok til this tune ends but I will play it again 😀
Wind storm and power out in the Pacific NW, so I'm chillin with my headlamp, a book, and Justin in the background. Excellent cover. Thank you Justin 🤓✌️
Уважаемый Джастин! Ваша игра - это нечто невероятное! Когда я услышал впервые и без видео, я думал, что это несколько гитаристов играют! Обожаю Вашу игру! Спасибо!
Dear Justin! Your playing is something unbelievable! When I heard it first time, without seeing your video, I thought it was a several guitar players played together! I admire Your playing! Thanks!
Though this is not my favorite take on this classic, Mr JJ shows he is an incredible master maybe a genius. Always look forward to hearing him make music.
The best sportsman always look like they have so much time. Room to move, time to decide, all the friggin time in the world man. It's the same as your playing. Nothing looks too crowded for you. You have all the time in the world. This was awesome.
If we had more songs like this , by the great Bob Dylan , played by superb guitarists like Justin Johnson, then there might be a little more peace in the world...

May their souls rest in eternal peace.
This is heartbreaking but we know they’re smiling up there. Your wife’s brother is a hero. My best wishes to you sir. Don’t forget to smile.

There is community in south Louisiana called Klondike, nice....

I keep saying it his delivery is so smooth and full of emotion, this is how you play a guitar.
Heavenly! Making breakfast as the sun comes up and this song fills me with love.

Beautiful, unplugged will make masterpieces.
This is exactly what I have been looking for, as a veteran and as a man this spoke to me on another level, thank you for doing this
Beautiful. Dylan's comment on the temporary nature of, well, Nature. "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall never pass away."
The absolute best rendition of my very favorite song! It's always touched me in some way but this time it drew a tear. Perfection

Fabulous .. the use of Am alternate Cmaj - is soo much clearer than the repeated Cmaj that many people use!

That is a fine description. I know myself, that when I'm on top of a task, that's how I feel.
Good description. They make hard things look easy. So much practice for that kind of seemingly casual mastery.
That 3/2/0 slide/pull off is a nice touch.
Thanks for this great version of the song. I love your music. Great.
This is sooo GOOD!
Oh man! This is excellent! I was singing along to your amazing performance! I hope Bob gets a chance to hear this! He will dig it!

I'd love to see you do something on another Australian guitar brand, Cole Clark.
