Looking at Trendsetter sent me back to my childhood. She reminds me of a singer, but I can't remember who. She looks great and the phone is the best accessory that she comes with.

She's pretty. I love her pastel clothes. Funny that her name is Trendsetter and she has a 2000s aesthetic instead of a more modern one. I'm sad we lost the hat and shoe boxes, the backdrop inserts, and the mirrors though.

Trendsetter reminds me so much of Nicole Richie back in her simple life days. I love the commitment to the Y2K aesthetic. I only wish the tracksuit had some knock off juicy emblem on the back 😂

If you look under the box (on all OMG dolls), there is a breakdown of the pieces that are included. In which in fact they do come with the number of "surprises" that the box is implying. And sometimes they come with more than what they say they do, a good example is Pop BB; all the remix dolls says they come with 25 surprises, but if you count she actually has 28.
Sorry but I don’t count a stand as a surprise lol. Might as well call the hair ties surprises too 😑

I am in love with the recent LOL releases, from tweens to OMG. They are so on top of current trends, and the trend cycle, the perfect mix of the y2k trends people love to see and the add ons from 2020-21. As well as the series 2 tweens with the goth Lolita/harajuku Lexi and kawaii fashion aya, I think 60-70’s look and skater look that I haven’t quite gotten into yet. And from the looks of it a little skater-e girl look from trendsetters BFF. As much as the packaging thrills are missed I love the fashion of these girls.
Edit: omg almost forgot to mention my favorite goth doll moonlight bb. I would love to see some lol dolls with like earth tones. Let’s see how they can appeal to kids and collectors with less neon and more “dull” colors !

I have been looking everywhere for these two dolls!!!! someone plz help where can I get them at I know one UA-camr said they got there's on AliExpress an I always go on there to look an they are not on there.
I always thought they were going for "girly" vs "sporty". I might just get her, love her 2000s aesthetic and I actually had a pink flip phone in the 2000s. Haha Thanks for your reviews. Love the different camera angles.

I want both bffs, and the series 2 Tweens! However, I'm really not crazy about the new box design. With the "surprise" version, sure, there may have been an unseen quality control issue, but the old boxes are more aesthetically pleasing to display with your doll, and have the doll's name on it ( so you don't forget!). Speaking of which, I sure wish MGA would have thought to include the doll's name on the doll stand. It's a shame that they did away with the hat and shoe boxes, which leaves nothing in which to store articles of clothing and accessories that aren't being worn.
Her style sparks nostalgia from my early 20's. I'm sure this style will be back in again soon enough, as trends seem to repeat themselves lol
I love her! She‘s totally inspired by Paris Hilton and the little barcode text on her shoe bag even says ‘Thats hot’ which is directly referencing Paris Hilton & Nicole Richie’s the Simple Life! You should put her next to Fly Gurl to have the two 2000’s girls Britney & Paris together. :D
I thought I wouldn't like her but watching this gave me SO MUCH NOSTALGIA I wanted to dress up like this as a kid!! Also her room I wanted that room too! XD I do hope they make more 2000s fashions

Honestly I'm actually very glad they excluded the shoe and hat boxes. By now I have too many of these already and you can't do anything with these except store them. The Travel-Girls came with trollies what is kinda innovative. Also I love the more sustainable packaging with even more cardboard and paper bags :)
Yeah it becomes problematic when you have all these little plastic boxes that you can’t throw away but also don’t have space for 😂🙌
I definitely miss the Shoe and Hat Boxes. They are great to store accessories in. At least they didn't get rid of the cool garment bags though. LoL😍

I finished series 3 omg dolls. I also got three of the movie magic dolls. I got the remix 2 pack of punk grrrl and rocker Boi and miss glam present surprise. I bought the unarticulated version of coral waves from Meijer but I gave her to my niece. Coral waves was the only doll left from the swimsuit series on the shelf but she was unarticulated and I want the articulated versions for coral waves coastal q.t. and paradise vip.

I took down the hair and blew it back. It flares out like something you'd see on Olivia Newton John. I also put a streak of baby blue in her hair. I think it was just what was missing.
y2k fashion is trending very recently so either mga are time travelers or they just designed her sometime this year.

I am so excited for them both! First time I've been equally excited for both bffs. Her look might be inspired by Nicole Richie in the 2000s, especially with her hair. I also saw a version of her tracksuit that had long sleeves instead of the short sleeved jacket that she has and I think I would have preferred long sleeves, but oh well.
And although I'm really excited for trendsetter if I could only pick one I'd have to go with skatepark qt as well, I like that she comes with a skate board and she's just more my style. Reminds me of 2000s skater/ emo kids.

These dolls do come with twenty pieces, if you count earrings as two, shoes as two and include the three stand pieces as separate, as well as the brush, hanger, bags the accessories came in, cardboard background etc.
But I agree, all the pieces aren't surprises. It is a bit misleading.
Good thing there are reviewers like you Dom so we can see what we are getting and whether it's worth our money.
Saying the stand pieces are a “surprise” is equivalent to saying the little plastic ties that hold her down are surprises lol

I'm kinda disappointed with the new box. You can't really reuse. I'm fine without the shoe boxes. I also thought it really said something that these dolls sold so well and you can't even see the doll till you buy it and people still did. It was a moment seeing her for the first time. Plus if you're a perfectionist like me it saved you from examining each and every one before buying which one. Csusevsute enough I had to closely examine each trendsetter they had in stock looking for perfect hairline perfect stitching. It took a few minutes. I also think the new boxes look cheap. The box was its own thing and you could use it again and again. Bummed they changed it.
