Tip that will make your life easier with this kit: When it's time to remove/install the front wheel, pull the pads from the bottom of the caliper and then pull the wheel. It's a much faster simpler way to do it than pulling the caliper to get the wheel off.

Welcome to the bbk club! FYI you can clearance the caliper with some minor Machining in order to have it clear the rotor.

Excellent! This was a detailed tutorial, very good. Nice job with the informational pop-ups. All said and done 500 isn’t too much if these breaks give you a lot more on track. Keep up the good work. Thank you and looking forward to the next video.

Any chance you could let us know caliper bracket thickness and hole center's?

I am looking at the rotor you used. This is actually readily available chinese part on ebay. I have several myself. Those $54 rotors though only have 4 mounting holes. The HNR part seems to be one of these that has 4 additional holes added. Those machined in holes also have a counter bore machined in so the mount bolts will not stick up as high. For this install you used the stock holes in the rotor. Would you have saved some $ by buying the the generic part? I suspect so.
The reason for thecounter bored holes is that on some bikes the bolts will stick up high enough to catch the brake caliper as they pass. Which is a very bad thing. So could it be that the cheap chinese caliper assembly might have worked if you used the counter bored mount holes? I have no way to say. But you mght check for the budget conscious. A part 2 video?!…

    where's the on track video??

Hey! So interesting enough the significantly improved braking power now requires stiffening up the front *a lot* (the bike dives so much now that it is almost unrideable at race pace). So much so that we decided to race Peter's KTM 65 a few weeks ago instead of the KX.
The next video will be about the suspension changes to accompany the big brake kit! Sorry, I haven't been able to prioritize it as we've been focusing on racing the RC8C with the CMRA series.
