My favourite thing about DtS is watching the video Mclaren released of Lando and Daniel watching it just taking the absolute piss out of it. Especially the end of it they had this conversation; Daniel "Wait that's not right. Wait. 'He forced me off.' That's not from that." Lando "Did I say that?" Daniel "Yeah, but you didn't."
This season of DTS hurt, as an F1 fan. First 2 seasons were great, got me back into f1. But damn s4 was dodgy. Also, where the hell is Nando having ocon defend like a lion?
Nah they have to waste 2 episodes on Ricciardo. I don't know who wants to see Ricciardo that much. Could have done an episode of former world champions changing/returning/leaving f1.. but nah.. 2 episodes for Ricciardo and Horner cussing everyone in 3 episodes

The tacked on drama is getting out of hand. The season was plenty exciting without all the fake stuff. In fact i feel like they missed alot of little moments trying to create there own narrative. One thing that bugged me that was left out was how Fernando Alonso helping Esteban Ocon ultimately led to his victory such a minor detail but it adds a whole new layer to the episode and they missed it. They also missed how Seb was calling for red flags just before Lando shunted at Spa and then he stopped to check on him. Those little moments of sportsmanship and humanity are worth more than fabricated drama.
They just decided to cut Seb alltogether. I guess the things you mentioned and the human quality shown by Seb just don't fit their narrative of drama and rivalry. It's so weird, since I just roll my eyes at that while I thoroughly enjoy those sportsmanship moments and drivers joking around with each other. That side of F1 they miss completely, it's a shame.

DTS really missed an opportunity to highlight the return of Alonso. He's back in the team that made him a legend, all for the sake of redemption from his Mclaren misery. Could've included his defense against Hamilton, for a 'changing of the guard' win by teammate Ocon and his long wait for a podium finally ended back in Qatar. With all due respect, instead we got a full episode dedicated mostly to Yuki moving from Milton Keynes to Faenza as a catalyst for what has admittedly been a lukewarm resurgence. Gutted.
DTS is purely for new fans or to attract new fans to the sport. What true fans want DTS to be is an in depth, behind the scenes season review - that works be great 👍
After watching DTS, I hope they go back to their main format and go on focusing on more drivers than events. E g Yuki episode was nice. That Bottas episode in season 3 was amazing. Ocon episode...They actually had a chance to focus on George and bottled it. Could have done more with Danny and Carlos 1st year at their new team. Focused on Aston Martin joining F1...I hated the rehashing and basically nothing new being said of RB/Max and Merc/Lewis rivalry. However as a Lewis fan, we got to see lots of Lewis so that's a plus.
I haven't watched DTS season 4 yet, but I did watch all 3 days of F1 testing in Barcelona even when there was no actual footage... that just goes to show how much I prefer f1 testing over DTS .
I miss a full episode for Perez! They could show a Driver without a sit in the end of 2020, struggling to fit in a new team, winning at Baku and being the best ever wingman in the final GP

I disagree. I think DTS has to update. It brought in lots of new fans or very casual fans. Now they are regular fans. Every season the crafted story telling is appealing to a smaller and smaller audience. They need to start being more realistic while still playing up drama or they will start losing interest and relevance
The best about the Mazepin Sochi scene was when they showed him overtake McLarens and other top teams without saying that he was just unlapping himself from 2 laps down. Casual watchers must've thought he would be on a podium or sth.

I mean, F1 was losing audience after schumacher times, and it has gain back some popularity thanks to DTS (their words) so why not show the hard work behind the races like in previews seaons so the new audience could understand more of the sport. (after everything that happened with Masi and the decisions last year, truly has left me wondered if its any worth to keep watching F1)

Entire show was filled with sentences stringed together by Netflix, you can tell when whatever person is talking and all of a suddon in the middle of a sentence the pitch of the next words changes drastically because edited in the person talking from some other time to make them say what netflix wants.
I don't know if anyone else noticed, but in the episode about sochi and them saying aboout the rain, they then show a radar image. The track map on this radar footage was of spa, i know many of the viewers wouldn't notice and it makes no difference at all, but for me it's those little details that make would make the series much more accurate for the f1 die hard fans, and wouldn't take away anything from the casual viewers
I think they painted Horner to be the super villain but he did mention Ham quite a bit lol. However I did like what he said about ricciardo. I waited until testing was done to watch DTS. Made no sense to watch it when I was glued to testing

On the subject of reusing footage, I noticed that in the Russell v Bottas episode, building up to the Imola crash, for the on-boards when they're supposed to be on the grid, Bottas' footage is actually Silverstone - you can see the end of the pit building roof!
I'm surprised there are no reactions about the shear volume of Merc vs Red Bull in the series! The thing I loved about DTS was the stories of lower teams. But it was almost 50% Merc and Red Bull. Not to mention Will Buxton's usual verbal diarrhea....

I was watching DTS on Netflix and the final cut when toto saying that everyone has target on their back was so perfect that when it ended it started the to play the first part of season one where its saying if a driver starts to fear then they should retire I didn't notice d until I saw Dani Ric on a red bull suit on the first interview of the show
Fun fact about the Melbourne GP is that it is the only track on the calendar where the team the finished first in the previous years championship, is closest to the pit exit. That being said however, the paddock entry is on the exit’s side so the “walk of shame” remains unchanged.
8:38 Fun fact. I stopped the time of Russels qualifying lap and it was suprisingly short. The lap shown on DTS was about 1:46... but in real his lap was like 2 minutes and something. So, not only was it bad recorded, but also shorter

What I hated the most of DTS S4 and why I didn't watch all is cause they make Redbull and Verstappen look like the villain of the story. Especially the Silverstone episode just disgusting. And als shows that the Netflix crew don't know about F1. And it should be renamed the big Wolff and Horner show.

Yay I made it in to a wtf1 video thanks guys. My biggest peeve is a small one but they didn't include Leclerc's engine issues at all in the silverstone episode. Which was just a weird thing I immediately noticed as a Ferrari fan. So it just looked like Lewis got past easily but he didn't we kept him behind for a while.

Watching drive to survive this season. Felt like I was watching a trailer to a show or movie that never started. Beyond the limit on f1 TV pro was 100% better and what drive to survive should be.
Christian Horner had the most screen time commenting on half the field because he's employed them over the last 4 seasons of DTS.

My favorite misplaced team radio was Carlos' "heart attack" he had at Qatar (where he narrowly got into Q3) but Netflix layered over his Saudi spin

DTS didn't cover Brazil and one of the most impressive drives in 2021.
Brazil, Baku and so many other good moments. My take would be that, being in full COVID season, they wouldn't be allowed to film everywhere.

I was watching DTS on Netflix and the final cut when toto saying that everyone has target on their back was so perfect that when it ended it started the to play the first part of season one where its saying if a driver starts to fear then they should retire I didn't notice d until I saw Dani Ric on a red bull suit on the first interview of the show
Fun fact about the Melbourne GP is that it is the only track on the calendar where the team the finished first in the previous years championship, is closest to the pit exit. That being said however, the paddock entry is on the exit’s side so the “walk of shame” remains unchanged.

8:38 Fun fact. I stopped the time of Russels qualifying lap and it was suprisingly short. The lap shown on DTS was about 1:46... but in real his lap was like 2 minutes and something. So, not only was it bad recorded, but also shorter

What I hated the most of DTS S4 and why I didn't watch all is cause they make Redbull and Verstappen look like the villain of the story. Especially the Silverstone episode just disgusting. And als shows that the Netflix crew don't know about F1. And it should be renamed the big Wolff and Horner show.

Yay I made it in to a wtf1 video thanks guys. My biggest peeve is a small one but they didn't include Leclerc's engine issues at all in the silverstone episode. Which was just a weird thing I immediately noticed as a Ferrari fan. So it just looked like Lewis got past easily but he didn't we kept him behind for a while.
Seeing yuki’s misplaced radio in Abu Dhabi was prolly the funniest one cuz I remember him being pissed off about qualifying P8 😂
