I just watched “the Chronicles of Narnia” again for the first time since i was little and it was surprisingly amazing, brilliant and definitely teaches the actual scripted story of the Death Resurrection and Victory of Jesus Christ, even today the day after as a 20 year old am inspired

We have a lot of different ones depending on age. My favorite ABC books that even my older kids like (because the illustrations are so good and the story with the letters are also very good) are by Kathy-Jo Wargin. Books like S is for Snowman, P is for Pumpkin, M is for Music (that one is great for older elementary as well). They have many written on the different seasons and such too. My All time favorite is an old volume set with beautiful pictures. It’s called The Bible Story, written by Arthur S. Maxwell. It’s sticks straight with the Scriptures but simplified, and explains them. We really really really enjoy these! In fact my oldest read them for pleasure. His Little Princess/Prince treasured letters from your King by Sheri Rose Shepherd is a great simple character/prayer and devotional. Wish they had a combined his and hers one, as I can’t decide if I like the boy one or the girl one better. They’re both very very good. And then another one of our favorite picture book is the abridged version of pilgrims progress called “dangerous journey“. They even make a video from the picture book. William B. Eerdmans Publishing Company. The arrangement made by Oliver Hunkin. For older kids we love the “Alive Again” series by John Class

She kept stealing “my” book. Lol. I highly recommend the video too. It’s basically the book pictures zoomed and panned, but it’s read well and even keept the attention of my then, 2 year old.
Thank you for your advice another great book to read for smaller children is, "busy bumble shares his joy". My little boys loves it, its a beautiful written faith based book about sharing and trust.
I LOVE these. I have some but am going to put the ones I don't on a wish list :-) LOVE Lamplighter books. They have books for ALL ages. We also LOVE getting their radio theater books too :-)
A recommendation I would make to you is Tales of the Kingdom by David and Karen Mains. It’s a 3 book set, we loved the first 2 and still reading the 3rd. My 5 yo and 3 yo enjoyed them immensely, and so did I :) I’ll have to try out that Priest with the Dirty Clothes one! Thanks! I had no idea Sproul had illustrated children’s books.
I agree too a lot of Christian movies truly lack. Can you recommend stories for kids about “modern day” Christian heroes? We used abeka last year and the stories about missionaries and important people to our modern faith was fascinating to me. I just never learned anything about Christian history and want my children to know it’s importance.

Its been very hard for me to find good books CHRISTIANS BOOKS or non Christian book for my 3rd grader (boy) he loves to read but it been really hard for me to find good books that don't talk about boys liking girls just I'm really would love your help .. When people are born again filled with the Holy Spirit of God they produce life giving fruit in everything they do. When the Holy spirit is allowed to flow freely in the church, the schools, and in publications everything that comes from them is creatively truthful and compeling. Holy Spirit filled bible believers may not be "mainstream" but their creative resources are out There and full of life. I suggest praying about the content in which you watch, listen, and read. As a family we came into agreement to trust God for the things we needed and threw out the content that wasn't life giving. The enemy is very cunning and deceives everyone into believing that Christian books, videos etc are cheesie. Not everyone who calls themselves a Christian that produces books, videos, or artistic content is in fact a Christian, there are a lot of wolves among the sheep fold, Jesus has said there will be many that would come in His name. It's important to have discernment and to know them by their fruit. When we know scripture and are awake we will not be deceived by the schemes of the devil. We can then train up our children in the way they should go and stand before God with our heads high knowing we have done what He's asked. God has completely transformed my household and we have an abundance of life flowing . My children are at peace, they are happy, and are not moved by the false ideologies of this world. There is peace in our home because we didn't trade the truth in for a lie. It is unfortunate that traditions of man and the system of which the world revolves pours out luke warm and waterdown Christianity.

When we watch secular movies it’s so easy to spot all the sublime messages and obviously the overt ungodliness.
