Wow brilliant idea using the strapping band. Just changed the spark plugs on my partners Audi A1 and your technique worked perfectly. Really really tight though!

Nice work. The only thing I think could be improved is the way you dropped the spark plugs into the bores, those bores are pretty deep. It has a small chance of changing the tip gap. Better to pop them into the the end of the socket and gently lower it into the bore and use a torque wrench to get the correct tightness, usually 25nm. Great vid cheers.

Great video. Followed this to change my spark plugs.
Brilliant idea with the packaging strap. A faint smear of copper-slip on the plug threads will help future removal.

Thanks for the video. Very useful. I hadn't changed spark plugs in at least 12 years and that was on a 1.3 SPi Skoda Felicia. But did it this evening with no dramas. I just used a screwdriver and levered them up as I couldn't get anything under them for some reason.

Thanks a lot for the video. Number 4 is really a disaster. By mistake I broke the thin air tube between the 3rd and 4th spark plug. The car still works. Do you know what for is that tube? Thanks again.
Bro I got mk6 11 plate 1.4 TSI gt 50k miles and it has an EPC sign on the dash is that bad? bought in auction and drivable for 50miles (has mot)

Interval in kilometers? Did you feel any difference? Which brand of spark plugs? The old ones were VAG, also with NGK stamped on them?

16mm is a 5/8 plug socket .. you won't need the magnet..
Back in my day we used to gap the plugs. Is this no longer ??

The gap is 0.7mm according to VW but I think they already come set to that.

When your standing like u are standing in the video, is the number of the cilinders 1-2-3-4 or 4-3-2-1 ? I have misfire’s on cilinder 1 & 2 and need to change the ignition coils tomorrow but i don’t know which ones are 1 and 2

Be careful that you don't snap the socket housing on the top of the plug assembly like I did 😱😱😱
I have the same exact engine as yours 1.4 TSI 140hp but mk5. And it consumes too much petrol, dont know the reason.
Any idea?
What do you consider too much petrol? How hard do you drive it? How old are the plugs/air filter? Those two will have a direct effect on performance and fuel economy if plugs are worn or filter is blocked/full.

Not a 100% sure on what name I went to my auto parts dealer and gave my registration and they gave me the right ones for my car model best bet is to do that because your car might not take the same
probably bosch spark plugs. you can use FR6HI332 for your golf 6 1.4 tsi
