SECRET Code Names for Halloween Horror Nights 2024 So Far | Current List

- Universal is currently in its early stages of prepping for Halloween Horror Nights 2024.
Almost all of this work is happening behind the scenes. However, the question is: How does Halloween Horror Nights keep this massive event secret throughout the off-season?
In today's video, we discuss the Code Names that Halloween Horror Nights will be using for the houses and scarezones. Currently, only 8 of those Code Names are public, while the rest still remain behind closed doors.

Have been thinking of Krampus for sometime now. They still are selling their “Krampus” like shirts at the Five & Dime from last year. Maybe we do end up getting that this year since it was speculated last year?
The code names are genius! Seeing the actual houses vs the code names really is wild to compare. This is when being a Swiftie pays off….we’re all trained to look for Easter eggs and to fill in the blanks 😂
I truly want to know what the process is when deciding the code names for the properties!
@@BrianFromOrlando same! Like, how do they get to a category????? Do they pick from a list? Do they have some randomized generator that picks for them? We need to know
This is...since the original houses can be anything the code names don't mean much until you can reverse engineer them off a name or premise. So more than that I'm making a game of looking back at last year's codenames and trying to guess which ties to which:
Orange- Chucky and Kumquat- Stranger Things as you explained. Tomato for Blood Moon, Pear for a pair of dragons, Kiwi look brown and fuzzy like a yeti, Pineapple maybe for Pinestraw and Dark Offering. Beet has to be music beats for Vamp 69.
We’ve done some research with the code names for the past few years and have seen some relationship with the assignments. Something that we will talk even more in depth in our livestream on Tuesday!
Grapes could have been a nod to last year's Universal monsters house, since that takes place in Paris, the French are known for their love of wine, and of course wine is made from grapes.
S’more’s definitely Ghostbusters(reference to Stay Puft)
We’ve heard talks of it relating to Friday the 13th as well; however, we don’t believe that will be for this year. Maybe future years will see that return.
I think "Cobbler"= The next Universal Monsters House, since those Houses "Cobble" together many characters from many different films.

Along those lines, another possibility now that I think of it is maybe the return of the Horrors of Blumhouse, since that too is a compilation or "cobbling" together of characters and scenes from many different films. And, yes, I'll definitely try and be there for your next live stream!

I hope that Flan is for Flanagan with Fall of the House of Usher ❤ I really enjoyed that show plus it's been some time since an anthology IP house has been at the event. Like with American Horror Story at HHN 26 and 27
We are big fans of Flanagan and do think that Fall of the House of Usher could turn out to be a fantastic house to experience! We shall see!
I really think the Pie reference is FNAF, Smores is Ghostbusters and Flan is Creature from the Black Lagoon!!!

I'm waiting for "curds" or "whey" because this is the YEAR OF THE SPIDER! We got Infested coming out on Shudder April 26th! We got Sting coming out soon! We got the remake of Arachnophobia coming out later this year! Then there's that weird Adam Sandler Netflix movie with that space spider! The YEAR OF THE SPIDER hopefully has some room to play at HHN this year!
It does seem like it’s a Spider take-over for this year! Wouldn’t be surprised if we saw something spider related this year!

The sweets theme could be an indication of the icon this year. In 2022 Major Sweets was part of the backstory of the scare zone in NY. It would be interesting to see him as the main icon.
We are open to an idea for him showing up in a house this year. Not sure how we feel about him becoming an icon yet.
Cookies and cream, like the Hershey bar, which is Black and White….= Terrifier?!?
I like the thought process, but we don’t think Terrifier will be one of the properties coming to HHN this year.

I’ll save my full list of ideas for members of the BFO Discord (shameless plug!), but two of my favorite Originals ideas I’d like to share here are Cookies being related to the previous Anarcade scarezone or some sort of tech-cult icon in reference to computer cookies, as well as Cobbler being in relation to the Elf and the Shoemaker tale as some sort of Toothfairy-esque terrorized village house or something in line with the old Scary Tales houses.
Remember you mentioning Anarcade during the stream and loved the idea!
@@BrianFromOrlando I actually thought of another possibility for cookie today: Terminator. 40th anniversary. A house based on the old US show would be wicked!
