I really wish, since they have 10 houses now, that they would expand the event back into both islands of adventure and universal. I went the year they did both parks and it was so much more open and you had the extra value and “thrill” of rides in both parks. I think 5 houses in each park would spread out the crowd and also bring down the wait times bc there would be more to actually do besides the houses.
We are dying for IOA to return to the event! We know that a lot of people have talked about it not working but it definitely could if they have a small portion for “traffic” usage!
Great video! I can’t wait for this series! I really wish they would include a few scare actors or simple props/sets along the lines to keep guests entertained and also establish the theme of the house. Even something like the radio broadcast playing outside Oddfellow’s last year helped. A lot of people may not have any idea of what the stories for the original houses are. Knowing the backstory in advance makes a big difference in appreciating a lot of the houses!
Agreed! When I went to HHN two years ago, they had the monsters collide house with the Dracula, Wolfman, and Mummy. In the line outside the house they played really cool videos of Dracula, crossing the ocean and werewolves against the backdrop of the house and on a huge screen. It was really cool while you stood in line.
As someone who appreciates queues when it comes to theme parks in general, I would love to see more attention put into enhancing that experience for HHN. Can’t wait to see a deeper dive on that subject!
Oh my gosh…YES! I SO AGREE with all of them but ESPECIALLY the projectors. I’m sure they’re tired of sending me surveys because good lord I will write ESSAYS on how boring waiting a line can be without any music, videos from projectors, or original videos explaining the lore of the houses!!! Thank you for highlighting these changes!
As someone who never gets express Inhave to say I dread when the projectors pop up. They are obnoxiously loud (standby is always against the speakers) and makes it hard to talk to the people you’ve come with. That combined with the length only being like 10ish minutes means that when you are standing in the hour plus lines you’re seeing these videos multiple times. Even if the wait was 30 minutes, 2 lines can intercept the same projection space. The win/win scenario is turn down the volume and make the video lengths longer (put slide shows with just event music even).
We 100% understand what you mean. They need to spread the speakers out for the queue lines and tune it down a bit. There are some spots that are right on top of the speakers. It’s deafening at times! We really hope the place those projectors up at the start of the event and help space the speaker situation out more. Plus give us longer loops!
I think HHN needs a bigger variety of entertainment. A Monster Makeup Show where things go wrong and the classic monsters or other creatures‘breakout’ into the audience would be cool. More food options, some kind of easter egg hunt involving the lore, with an exclusive secret food for winning, and some kind of virtual queue system that cycles through each house to distribute crowds better. And generally more hype.
They also need to bring back the immersiveness and projections they had on the outside of the park before you entered. Like the year they did Bloody Mary for instance. They also need to bring back the roaming hordes and the lady in the coffin. As well as making the scare zones more detailed and immersive. If you want to know how detailed they used to be, go look up the year they did The walking Dead for all the scare zones.
We would like for the arches to be decorated more for sure, as long as it is fitting for that year’s theme. We’ve talked about City Walk even getting some decor to relate with HHN.
I agree with all of this, but you all knew this! It all would help. I would buy a lanyard with my FFP+ Pass, and I could see it speeding up the lines for food booths. Because it seems like I hit the food booths when the CC machines are acting really slow, like I got my food quicker than my it took my CC to get approved. We do need in line entertainment the whole season. Yes Originals need their own announcements. And, of course we need to have the website back.
It seems to me that Universal is in "coast" mode wrt HHN. They now know the minimum they have to do in order to pull off the event, which means eliminating "fluff', like the original videos (which I dearly miss), having the scare-zones be just semi-fancy walkthru areas, tossing major street shows like Carnival of Carnage, partnering with Shudder or Peacock to distribute costs so that they get ginormous amounts of projector time, getting rid of the event-specific HHN website, etc. I also think Epic Universe has taken much more money than originally budgeted and events like HHN have suffered as a result. Remember that Epic has been consuming resources for years, so it wouldn't surprise me if these cutbacks go back half a decade or more. I also see where people have been wanting HHN to spill over into IOA, but that would mean people would have to pay double to experience every house. If they had a full complement of 10 houses at IOA, the argument could be made, but I seriously doubt Universal would devote the resources necessary for 10 houses at the adjacent park (they might do three or four at most). Universal has room to expand and enhance the event at the Studios if they would just pursue them, like using the Bourne stage for something along with Animal Actors, but like I wrote, they're just coasting along at this point.
After further research, I feel like they are in standby mode. They have some things they desperately want to get into but until the resources get spread amongst them, then it’s just a waiting game.
@@BrianFromOrlandoI think that, >if< HHN expands beyond its current form, it won't happen until the 35th anniversary. If they don't do anything different for HHN 35, it's unlikely you'll see new shows or experiences for quite some time to come. It's also possible that HHN is "locked in" until the suits run the Epic Universe revenue numbers. If you can, I think you guys should seriously look into attending Singapore and Japan's HHN. While much smaller in scale, it seems to have an energy and hunger that ours lacks.
We buy 3-4 Mardi Gras food cards and save for HHN. You get your discount on top of the discounted price, and it's the only way you get a discount on alcohol.
Never going to happen. Nintendo won’t want anything to do with an event that could affect the family friendly perception of their IP. They’re famously jealous of their properties. 2. HHN is an adult event. I love Nintendo. But this isn’t the right market. People are going to be scared. Not cutified.

Agreed, I was there when they did this as well. Also bring back some of the vendors throughout the long lines. Bring back Jack !
From what I've read they won't bring it back to IoA due to there being little to no space available for sound stages or tents to be built.
We are dying for IOA to return to the event! We know that a lot of people have talked about it not working but it definitely could if they have a small portion for “traffic” usage!

The queue’s definitely need some attention to them. Something we think is next on the kind of the team for sure!

There are a lot of ways that they can enhance it without needing to go overboard. Just small touches that will help in big ways.
Omg, the website❤ I miss that so much!
We think of it everyday!

I personally think that Universal stopped sending me surveys for the novel that I would write back to them explaining every detail! 😂
An amazing video can't wait for the live stream soon! :)
Thank you! Will see you there! 🤘🏼

By a virtual queue system, I mean an optional system like Tapu Tapu but on your phone.

There are so many things that we are wanting for the event overall! Cannot wait to see if any of these come back in the future!
Hotel booked for HHN this year!
🗣️Can’t wait🧟♂️
Lucky! I’m trying to get over from Scotland.
@@happymaskedguy1943 sending you some HHN🧟♂️Vibes to hopefully assist
It’ll be here before we know it!
i think all of these would be great changes i really love the food card idea. i do wish they had some of the foods from Orlando at hollywood tho
When we went to Hollywood, we were slightly disappointed in the amount of themed food they to offer compared to what we have here in Orlando.
Ah yes how I miss the websites
Thanks for the great video
We need it back!

I would love an HHN exclusive site. They also need to add more shows or experiences to help with crowds.
Terror Tram Florida?
With the creation of the HHN website, allows for the openness to more creativity for the fans!
Never made it to Mardi Gras yet but don’t they have the pre paid food card? Makes no sense why they cannot have the same for HHN
I wonder if they know that they will make that amount for HHN regardless. But would be nice for the consumer.
We buy 3-4 Mardi Gras food cards and save for HHN. You get your discount on top of the discounted price, and it's the only way you get a discount on alcohol.
This has been something we’ve done as well! Really hoping they don’t change that.
I thought you guys were gonna talk about needing more entertainment and crowding issues
I totally agree
And this was just the small side of the list! 😂
How about a 21 and over house, that really cranks up the scare, and you sign an online waiver to gain access?
Similar to Scream A Geadon*
21 and over nights would be even better. Not really enjoying gangs of drunk teens causing trouble.
We are open to an idea like that. Logistics would be hard but would like to see the energy turned up a notch for HHN.
They need to put drink stations in the cues
I remember back in 2018 they used to have them in some of the lines.
They used to. I'm thinking maybe it was done away with to cut down on overly drink people
They still have some drink carts that are by the soundstage queues. Not nearly as much as what we had in years past.
It would be cool if they had a Luigi’s Mansion Maze
Never going to happen.

The horrors of blumhouse five nights at freddy's and M3gan and lmaginariy night swim
I currently don’t think Blumhouse will be at HHN this year. FNAF has already been confirmed as not coming this year, so far as I know.

Bro How many times do you need to do the same annoying comment if it’s not gonna happen
Sell less tickets. Capacity is way over the top
We believe tickets is fine, it’s more of expanding the event’s offerings to hold to that amount.
good point. Just insane how long the lines can be
Always early for a brianfromorlando video🫡🫡
