I came from the East side & the park closed at Sunset. So I just drove around & the North Entrance was closed. The massive Visitor's Center was also closed. So I turned around & was able to see the hungry Elk come out & start eating their evening meal totally ignoring the cars whizzing by. Fascinating place. But Winter is the time to go & explore these treks within the park. Yes its open during Thanksgiving Day. Way too hot for me during the summer. I have many gorgeous pics of mountains in many layers of colors. Not Worth seeing? You people need to go somewhere else. Maybe go to the east to Las Vegas.

We went during spring break, its nice weather but a little windy, this is one of my favorite hikes, been here so many times
