As i was stuck on this as well here is how i got those 4 pescy fan bolts out. Fasten the Fan wheel so it cant spinn when you try to loosen the nuts. ( I did this with locking pliers on the wheel, hindering its movement but im sure you will come up with your own solution) Then for the nuts: I tried everything and the only thing that worked was some WD40, let sit over dinner, and then Knipex pliers and squeezing with both hands. Really really squeeze down on the nuts and then slowly start to turn. You HAVE to really squeeze down, else the pliers will slip. They are not difficult to turn but difficult to access for your normal tools so this was the only way

So you just have to remove the 4 bolts? Don’t need a crescent before it?
