Michael Jackson (ft. RK) - You Are Not Alone Recording - December 1, 1994

After concluding the Dangerous Tour, Michael Jackson began working on a compilation record, having already written while on tour, material like Stranger In Moscow.
It became a double album, which took on formal levels of recording beginning in September 1994.
In October 1994 he recorded some parts to a duet with his sister Janet Jackson, while in New York City at The Hit Factory. In the midst of that, he traveled to Chicago on November 24, 1994, to begin recording work with R. Kelly.
For 1 week he worked on this song at the Chicago Recording Company. With his own contributions complete, on the morning of Friday December 2, 1994, he flew to Minneapolis, MN to finish recording that duet, called "Scream", with sister Janet, now at Flyte Tyme Studios in suburban Edina, MN.
Ultimately both songs were released as the first two singles, off of this new album called History (released June 1995). Scream on May 31, 1995 and this song on August 15, 1995.

Yes, as of December 1, 1994. Before the album was mixed down in March 1995 and mastered by April.
