No, it truly couldn't because Blitzø's problem is not that he doesn't understand what Stolas is objectively saying but the emotional baggage and trauma which lead him to reject these things. This is no miscommunication trope. They are actively communicating here but just end up triggering each other.

It is insane how little sympathy Blitz gets from the fandom. Like people are rightfully also upset in Stolas’ behalf. But the power dynamic is so insane.
Stolas literally asked for transactional sex in the first episode. With the stakes being Blitz’s own livelihood. And yes it’s great that he’s realised how horrific that was. But Jesus it’s still horrific.
The whole gang was legitimately concerned about Blitz not being bothered by the cherubs because it was their livelihood too.
I’m sure that there is still an element of enthusiastic consent at play by part of Blitz but it’s still really iffy.
Furthermore what’s more uncomfortable is that Stolas still has a bunch of Imp servants, a fact that I’m sure Blitz is acutely aware of. Stolas had plenty of opportunities to clarify his feelings to Blitz directly, but he didn’t. Worst offender was season 1 finale .

Stolas has the right to be upset by what Blitz said but to be surprised when he’s such a shitty communicator himself with literally everyone most tragically his daughter is just wowzers. Also poor bird was running without his anti depressants. BUT STILL BLITZ THEY COULD NEVER GET ME TO HATE YOU 😭
Also their first interactions as adults kinda set the stage for the rest of the relationship aka misunderstandings surrounding sex and feelings. Stolas was joking while flirting with Blitz and Blitz was like “ah so that’s what he wants”.
So true! Both of them are shit communicators for vastly different reasons but main problem is they do not listen to the other. It’s a very charged emotional exchange but so well written and real. I believe they can move past this but they need some healing from their issues first imo.
Also in the texts after Ozzie’s! Stolas asks Blitz to talk about what happened and when Blitz deflects? He backtracks and says “Maybe you can say mean things to me too next time”… which is him explicitly pivoting back to making this about sex 🙃

To be fair, Stolas tried to talk or just hang out with Blitz, only to back down each time (post Ozzie's and from texts). Blitz probably took those as just more sex attempts, or didn't want it to complicate things. Stolas is having a hard time seeing that. Then, Stolas is probably feeling guilty over "using" Blitz emotionally or sexually, and feeling worse that no one but him seems to see it as anything but sexual. Blitz basically confirmed that impression during their fight. Like you said, Stolas just shuts down before they can resolve anything.
My hunch from the trailer is they are back on better terms by the end of next episode, even if they ultimately end up on break while they figure stuff out. I'm really hoping they discuss both their issues much deeper first though.
And Stolas shutting down makes a lot of sense.
He's depressed as shit and out of his meds, as seen in the song at the beginning and I can speak from experience that if you're depressed and someone dismisses your feelings, you'll shut down.

@@justanothermonster6442 I think people see themselves in the characters and therefore "pick sides" or empathize more one way. It also can be hard as a viewer to break down why former events+new action=reaction. Otherwise, I think people are aware Stolas's reaction is natural, but just group it under both of their communication and mental health issues and decide to discuss in terms of what the "solutions" need to be, or since any reasonable person knows Blitz is problematic, it's more fun to discuss how Stolas may have flubbed this up even if he has his reasons.
But I really didn't expect some people to favor one over the other so much.

i feel like ever since ozzys there have een a good chunk of indications, like at the end of ozzys with stolas talking to blitz and especially the text messages we saw between them in the episode where stolaz was kidnapped, not saying i dont have problems with the confrontation i just dont think there havent been implications.
I mean, you can argue just a tad (a TAD) mind you that after Ozzie's, Stolas did invite Blitzo into the house saying they could drink some wine. He also added they could watch a movie or just cuddle.
He was offering something besides sex. It was Blitzo who said "don't act like what we have is anything more than sex". Stolas tries to say something and Blitzo says he just can't. Which Stolas respected.
After that, Stolas didn't force any sex and texted about how he doesn't have to come if he doesn't want to or that the night can be whatever Blitzo wants. (You have to read it all in texts)
It's been months of this according to Blitzo. So Stolas has shown he does want more than just that. But he assumed the actions were enough without communicating. Actions do speak louder than words but a lot of people forget silence is dragging too.
You must communicate with a partner because even if you know them as well as yourself, letting your partner know how you feel or making it clear THEY can open up is how a healthy relationship stays. Stolas, forgot he is in love with an idiot.

That was Blitzø inviting Stolas though, Stolas has done nothing to indicate an interest outside of sex. That date literally ended with them reaffirming their relationship as merely transactional again !!!

I personally enjoyed Full Moon, and the Stolitz confrontation, while brief, felt *mostly* natural and that it wasn’t artificially shortened due to the Cherubs and DHORKS. I agree that they both have issues that feed off each other, and both ultimately failed this encounter. I hope the next episode(s) give amole time for both to reflect and go through personal growth before hopefully talking. Like ACTUALLY TALKING.
As for actually unique stuff to say, my eyes are on Stolas, and the fact that he’s basically alone now, minus Octavia (who we know in the trailer isn’t gonna be standing by Stolas through everything), and the rest of the Goetias, who are all trying to abuse, manipulate, and/or assasinate him. While Blitzø is certainly gonna burn, I worry for our bird friend because while Blitzø has I.M.P. and Fizz, Stolas is running on even thinner of a prayer.

At ozzies Blitz was the person who invited Stolas, and during that time Blitz saw Stolas hiding in embarrassment behind the menu when they confronted him about sleeping with an imp. Blitz took this as Stolas being ashamed that he is sleeping with the lower class, and the only thing Stolas said was suggesting other things they could do at his house, not saying that he loves him. Blitz thought these attempts were just so stolas could sleep with him, and so he therefore lashed out. The speech that Stolas gave was also laid on Blitz with almost no time to think, and instead of starting the talk with, "I love you," He started it with "I need my book back." Then just when blitz finally understands whats happening, Stolas teleports him out the house.
To blitz it 100% came out of nowhere. His reaction to stolas saying he's free was all i needed to know this was not gonna go well. I mean imagine being told youre free and your response to that is "am i not good enough because i can be better." That response tells you that blitz was completely blind sided by what was happening and to keep himseld comfortable he coped the way he knew how which was to fuck around.

@@Mishmish_doodles i agree with this. People seem to not realise this is both their faults. As much as blitz had a right to that outburst of his he went to far. The ozzies incident is also partially blitz's fault as well. He tricked stolas and every attempt made at a conversation by stolas was met with disinterest. As much as stolas huet blitz by hiding away when the truth got out blitz basically forced him into that situation. This episodes ending was also alot like the ozzies ending. One side realising what they did wrong and the other running away before the prior could attempt to atleast apologize.
@@Athena-hy5rx yeah Blitz invited Stolas, but Stolas was the only one trying to make conversation the entire time, and do you think Blitz would have actually believed a love declaration after ozzies? Stolas probably shouldn't have started with the book but I think he explained himself perfectly and it was still taken as a joke, not that I blame Blitz, it came out of left field for him, but I'm saying stolas TRIED, even if him attempts weren't the best.
And about the teleporting thing, he was in an abusive marriage with someone who yelled at him ALL THE TIME, he flinched when blitz yelled at the end it, was obviously triggering to him, I can’t blame Stolas for kicking Blitz out after the way he screamed at him (and yeah I understand why blitzø did that, I’m just saying)

Im honestly just grateful for you channel in regards to Stolitz cus even tho i know you ship it i know that thats not gonna blind you to how fucked up it is. out of all the reaction channels i watch i know your actually going to have a fair take on it instead of siding with Stolas for being "the best boi" and blaming Blitz for making him sad and everything going poorly. They both reacted poorly but they both have a right to be upset. [*cough* I'd argue more for Blitz's case than Stolas's but- *cough*]
Stolas is just barely out of a long term relationship with a partner who screams and is violent and WHO TRIED TO KILL HIM. Stolas reverted to type after spending the whole day fretting over potential rejection and then getting yelled at and called names.
Should he have dismissed Blitz like that, hell no! But he was looking for those rare sparks of tenderness that Blitz can surprise you with, and didn’t get ‘em.
Here’s hoping that when the rest of the team goes “oh, but we can still operate in the mortal realm? Ok then, who gives a shit” that waaaay down deep Blitz will realize “I do.”

It's been so long since last I watched this channel.
The Cherubs were also doing a reality-vs-expectations thing. They did fit thematically, but it was a bit jarring to have so much setup in what should be a somewhat climactic episode.
Like every episode so far, This one was definitely worth the wait!
It was nice to see the Cherubs return after all this time, And to see them team up with those two Dhork agents was very interesting! And I loved the badass fight scene between the Cherubs and the IMP employees!
As for Blitz and Stolas's interaction in this episode, All I'll say is that is went about as well as we all expected. Though I will say that with a cliffhanger of an ending like that the episode should've a few minutes longer since now there's gonna be so much to resolve throughout the rest of the season.

Who started it as x-ual was Blitzo when he slept with Stolas just so he could steal the book...
Blitzo isn't the villain, but clearly built this against himself.

Well, Solas was scared because he was putting himself out there, and he considered himself a "monster" because he enabled this toxic situation, hence the opening song.
Also, I dont think this came out of nowhere. Solas has given several indications that he wants more than sex. The hospital scene, the date scene, the text messages, even when Blitz was in the cage with Frizz and talking about how Solas was asking about his day, feelings, etc.
All the people going "face reveal, face reveal!" tells me they haven't been around SC's channels as long as l have.

He did sent him hints. Despite Blitzø didn’t notice Stolas did change his attitude from Ozzie’s, from when he realized how Blitzø saw their relationship (“stolas don’t act like wjat we have it’s anything more than you wanting me to fuck you okay?”). He started texting him, asking about his day ( in 2x06 Blitz says “then he would call me and ask me how my day was and he will pretend to care about me, comment on my photoes, laugh at my jokes”), assuring in general he’s more comfortable (Blitzø himself says he’s asking him if he wants or no to come on the full moon, and that he’s free to not go), and a big demonstration of that in my opinion is that he started calling him Blitzø, no longer Blitzy, no any pet name. He tried to show Blitzø the respect he thought he wanted. Stolas made big steps into trying to change the relationship into something different, but blitzø didn’t get his hints. And with this im not blaming him, because there’s tons on reasons why Blitzø wouldn’t get that, but you know, Stolas tried. In his mind he tried everything that was possible and Blitzø joking about his feelings (even if he didn’t mean to) could only mean an instant rejection. He felt abandoned, dismissed in his feelings and even more as he threw away the rest of his life (i mean octavia) for what he now thinks for Blitzø was just sex (“you sold your life for a thrust”)
I wish they would have let out the angel stuff and delivered more Stolitz. Anyway, just as an advice: you need to talk more during the reaction.
