    I have this plow on a 2018 JK sport and a 2.5" lift with 35's. Snowex/Fisher "Extension plates" 40730 and 40731 drop the plow down to the required pin elevation.

    7 years you have been selling the attachment system? Try what is called a "Bi-directional lead screw" (and a 4" diameter knob with ratchet ability for a "socket/wrench" if needed.). You don't have to have a precision/hard one. You can spin it from cold rolled, (a little nickle would be nice for corrosion resistance), and turned/finished off any CNC lathe in about 3 minutes.
    The receivers also need a better nest to line up the holes. It would be easy to make a semi-circular nest, (that matches the tongues of the plow carrage) that is next to and concentric with the mounting pin holes, (of which you have about .030" clearance, with a zerk, (not needed for .030" clearance),---------- because it did not work.). With a good nest, all you would have to do is keep forward pressure on the plow, (the truck pressing forward on the plow a bit), and the holes will be lined up. Even if a bit off, the lead screw will use more force, (.050"/revolution, .100"/revolution makes a difference with force.), to move the pins,--with the ratchet for a back up. If you don't fix this, your entire attachment/detachment is 100% worthless, a waste of time and money, and you have been selling it for 7 years? A "new normal" for Continuous improvement?
    There was my contribution for the good of the all. Can I get a "thank you" at least? I know you will if you fix that mess.
    Oh yea---show a vid removing the big plastic hydraulic nose cap. Fix that too. This is simple stuff. It really is. 7 years?

      Grant Victor western fisher and blizzard are all the same company. The snowex has the down pressure option which the western and fisher do not. I have the western defender on my Tacoma and love it for the 40 accounts I use it on. Just wish it had the down pressure sometimes

      I have a similar setup 4" lift with 35s. Last year I called every dealer I could to find out but no one could answer definitively. So I called Fisher Plows directly. They outright told me no and offered no alternatives or ways around the lift. I know it could be done, but you'd need some custom work done to lower the truck-side mount to bring everything to spec. A BOSS plow dealer I spoke to believes he could get their HTX plow to work by utilizing the lowest set of the adjustment bolt holes on their truck-side mount. Good luck.

      Its easier to make your own.I bought a plow attachment from a tractor on craigslist for $150 .I mounted it using angle iron from home depot and welded a base plate to attach it to the frame. My winch thats on the front of my fj40 is what moves the plow up and down.

    I just had the 7200 installed on my Jeep, (Dec 2022), and my goodness, that big plastic cap in the front is about impossible to get off. You have to stretch the plastic about an inch to lift off (4) 1" long vertical plates, (one close to each corner, 2 upper and 2 lower), by hand. I have not been able to get mine off yet in my 70 degree garage, (where I am sure the plastic is more pliable than 20 degrees outside), and I am still pretty good at arm wrestling. You have to use so much hand force to get the plastic over the vert tab, if you slip, you are going to bloody a finger. I am not going to do that. I am going to fix it. Who OKed that in the design department? Find him or her, and send them over to my house for customer service, and show me how to get that black plastic cover off. Don't get mad at me. I didn't design it. I payed for it. The first step is admitting your wrong,---and send me a cover that is reasonable. I think the rest of the plow will do a fine job. Would like the hydraulic action to be slower. Is there any way to slow it down? Maybe an adjustment under that plastic cap? haha

      @EarthSurferUSA Рік тому

      By the way, I am a manufacturing expert, have been in production all my adult life with several degrees and know what it takes to make things,---that nobody else but us seems to appreciate. The plow and attachment system seem great, (I am sure I need practice), but that cap is just silly. I am going to make a pair of "L brackets", to rivet/bond to the top, "L" to rest on the side of your vert tabs on top. Drill a hole, and put in a pin with a pull clip. Pull the clips, pull the pins, move the plastic toward up a bit and down to release your stock tabs. But I do still like the customer serviced idea. :)

  • @EarthSurferUSA

    New 7200, and the people who designed the removal of the plastic cap designed the pin linkage system for "easy attachment and detachment".
    The linkage system does not work at all. I can't get my plow off. I have to remove the linkage system, trash it, and use solitary pins,---for "easy attachment and detachment".
    This is "D grade" first year engineering stuff straight out of a HS gender identity graduation. Would you like me to re-design it for half their wages, and be just as inexpensive to manufacture? I can do it in my spare time. How can you sell this dysfunctional stuff, and call it good? It has to work if you want to be considered "good to do business with".

    • @EarthSurferUSA
      @EarthSurferUSA Рік тому

      But the fact is, if the holes do not line up, a mechanical linkage system will not work. There is a mechanical way to line up the holes, and I have it in my mind already.
      This is where a start up business with sharp people has an advantage. It is so much easier to beat the competition when their stuff does not work.

    SnowEx LT 7 foot 2 inch plow. Turning the plow from left to right, or right to left, do you want to know what stops the angular movement?
    The channel beam pivot carrier (that the plow is bolted onto), hits the hydraulic cylinders and dents both the carrier and the cylinders diameter. I have used my plow 3 times, and the cylinders are dented at the seal area. No leaks or a broken cylinder yet. The hydraulic hoses also rub against the steel backing plate edges with the small slots they come through, and the hoses are taking a beating. I paid over 7 grand for this simple engineering failure. I am a manufacturing professional, and you should be ashamed of yourselves. Are all engineering schools putting out top talent junk makers like this?
