If you see chapter 6, it’s implied that Idia isn’t really that close to them As they’re always away in business trips and they weren’t even there when Ortho died And assuming that, since they had the Shroud family curse, they’re just as apathetic and dismissive as Idia So they would obviously not be that close to their son either

There's a line said "When you're in Rome, do what the Romans do" People would never understand Epel's dialogue or attitude cause no one grew up there in the first place. It's not like Vil thinks it's wrong, he doesn't care about where you're from as long as you act properly in a way people wouldn't rub you off.

I'm sure other studets wouldn't have a problem with Epel's dialect. The only one who actually has a problem with Epel's dialect and has demonstrated it on multiple occasions is Vil.
I tried searching to see if snow rooms actually exist but everything I've found talks about leaving crop inside an appliance out in the snow. Such an interesting concept! I love the world building they're doing here.

It's probably a Japanese cutural thing. They tend to peal the skin off fruit before eating it, even if it's small like grapes believe it or not. Can't say for sure for something like blueberries since they're even smaller, but I wouldn't be too surprised if they did.
