Then she smiles into the camera, her persona is on. 0:45 She counts 1, 2, 3, and looks into the camera that was just watching her. 0:58 The two girls in the back are dressed normally like they aren't celebs. A contrast with Sunmi. She's also the only one standing on the marker for the cameras. 1:41 EVERYONE was wearing this hat at the time the video came out. It was THE TREND. You wore it even if you didn't want to. She puts it on and films for an audience. I saw this so many times on vlive and instagram. 2:04 She's singing like that on purpose with the "perfected" version in the background. She's almost yelling at times like she's the real Sunmi and not the performer. Sunmi is trying to get through. 2:40 "I feel like nobody else is here." Despite everything she feels alienated and alone. 2:54 She walks sadly to the marker on the floor before smiling brightly, putting on her persona. There's so much to this performance that catches you off guard because we're only used to the perfected versions of everything. This video feels off because it's supposed to. I love it.
I have so many (good) things to say about this performance! First of all it's very very unique! Plus the stage, the choreo...basically everything, they fit the song so perfectly. One of my favourite parts is when she's being photographed and then she goes behind the cameras! So powerful. I think I'm going to rewatch this for a while ;) Proud to be a Miya-ne! ♥
Whoever mixed the audio for this stage honestly did a rather shit job It's very clear that Sunmi is actually singing live here, and is taking a slightly different tone/interpretation to the song w rougher/harsher vocals Sunmi's live vocal is around the same volume as the MR vocal here so you've got the two juxtaposed very oddly throughout the whole thing and it just makes it feel off Plus that means that with the addition of an extra vocal track the instrumentals are lost a bit leaving you with a vocal that's p raw and sits on top of the track p awkwardly It doesn't work well whatsoever. Sunmi herself did a great job but *man* that mixing

Sunmi is amazing. She's beautiful. She's SUPER talented at singing and dancing. She has the greatest music. Sunmi is just THE perfect woman. When I listen to her music, it's just so different to the other K-pop songs out nowadays. Her songs have such a unique sound to them, a sound that I can hear and know, "Yep, that's definitely Sunmi". She is wonderful.
Her facial expressions are just amazing. When she goes from all serious to smiley, just wow. I was expecting her to run take a selfie in front of the audience or something crazy at the end of the performance, just like at the end of the MV but well- 😁 Great song, great performance & a great performer.
