Don’t forget ATEEZ, they’re also from a small company but most of their songs are really good quality (I don’t like some, but that’s just my taste) but they also produce their music and they all can dance really well, every single one of them. This isn't pure live vocals. What you mostly hear is prerecorded vocals done before rehearsals. At best this is 20% live and 80% prerecorded vocals.

The backing track came in stronger as the song went on, especially as the dancing got harder, but in the beginning (up until the second verse even) you can clearly hear her singing live over the backing track. When idols use a backing track it's usually 30%, 50% or 70% vocals in the background, rarely 100% or 0%, and you can hear both her and the backing track at the start, like I said the backing track got louder near the end. I don't know of any idols who always lip synch or never use a backing track, it's always somewhere in between, and Chungha is pretty high up on the scale of good live vocals.

@Rose Lalonde Thank you for this. I know a lot of delusional stans that think their faves are purely singing without any backtrack involved, but the truth is we're all human. Having a back track doesn't mean you can't sing, idols (especially soloists like Chungha) would naturally be more exhausted near the end of a performance, thus the lip syncing at the bridge.

You can barely hear her live vocals. It's mostly prerecorded. Yes, the artist (or her agency) decides how loud the actual live vocals will be during the performance but it's definitely lower in volume than the prerecorded vocals.

I've heard of Chung Ha so much but never checked out any of her songs until this video. And can I say, WOW HER STAGE PRESENCE, she OWNED that stage. I honestly didn't even like the song that much but my jaw was hanging for the entire performance and I kept replaying the close-up segments because her control over her body and facial expressions is so next-level amazing. And her voice is so intensely mesmerizing somehow? I'm kind of lost for words.
