This video was touching and loving in every way. I am laying here with tears in my eyes from watching this video. I am so glad Allie have you all to love her and take care of her,.
For everyone who is wondering, yes Allie is still with us. She turned 13 in July 2014. She is an amazing and inspirational being to my family and I. However, her condition is drastically changing these days and we are not sure how much longer she will be able to grace us with her life. She has gone above and beyond all expectations and it is truly a blessing to have her in our lives. She still loves to sit outside and listen to the birds, have some cheese now and then, and get excited when you come home after a day at work. She gives me a look that says I love you for loving me as much as you do. She's taught us valuable lessons that only a dog can. Thank you everyone for showing the support and love that you have for our Allie! I have been filming her since this video was posted and have even more happy memories to share soon.
Just proves that nobody knows what will happen, despite their years of vet. school and training....even human docs don't truly know! May Allie continue to bring joy to all!
What a beautiful story. Allie may be gone from your sight but she will never be gone from your hearts. She was a True Airedale...Queen of Terriers...and an inspiration to anyone who sees her story. Thank you for sharing her with us♡
I love you Allie and I'm so glad your parents didn't listen to the vet. You have alot of living to do and adventures.💕 🎈HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALLIE 🎈🎂 I miss my baby so much. Airedales are all I've had. For me a house is no a home without an Airedale. Sending hugs and a kiss for the button nose. She looks so happy.
The most noticeable symptom is a head tilt. Her head is almost always at a bit of an angle. She also spins in circles quite often. She has small seizures once and a while where her eyes sort of dart back and forth. We have recently taken her to the vet and her veterinarian was quite amazed at how well she copes with her condition. She doesn't believe she is in pain at all. She's lived with these symptoms almost her whole life and as you can see she's still a very happy dog:)
I have loved all my dogs but our three legged Airedale was the greatest creature I have ever known. She simply loved life (and herself) more than anyone else. She was 3 or 4 when we read about (hit by a car) and adopted her. Emily was with us for 13 years. Her personality was so large I still can't believe she is gone (3 years now). So thankful she was with us. A hole in the world without her. The best breed.
Truly inspirational! She is so adorable and I can only imagine how I would have felt if I had that diagnosis on my dog when she was 2. She turns 11 this february so that really hit home. I am so glad for you guys that she got to spend all her happy days with you for so long. :)
My last Airedale, Tory, passed in 1996. Watching your video brings back a lot of memories. I still have her picture on my night stand. I never realized how hard it is to watch a video through all these tears......Allie is proof that great dogs get great owners!
I am so happy I found this video! We also lost our first 'dale to cancer suddenly at the age of 7 and are on our second who is 8 and doing wonderful so far. I cant believe how resilient the breed can be, blows me away. I'm a big fan of the head tilt they do naturally and looks like your girl made some great lemonade out of a lemon :) Allie is so special and is so lucky to have you as her owner. Such a great story. Thank you for sharing!
What a great story. Thank you for sharing it. We have a 7 year old Airedale who has been diagnosed with a enlarged heart and a bad valve. The Vet gave him 4 months to 2 years last August and it's been hard to take. He has been slowing down and it's hard to watch the progression. We hope he is as lucky as Allie to live a lot longer. Good luck with Allie
This was such a touching story. Also a very good video of bits to tell the story. I just lost my Airedale Terrier of 10 years 8 days ago, and I miss her a lot still. I saw this video off of one of mine, and it made me smile. I'm so happy to see you're Allie to be such a happy Airedale. :)
I love this video, and watch it often! My airdale turns 2 in a few days, and she is the love of my life! Allie reminds me so much of my Dahlia, the way she gently paws for attention, how gently she takes food, and that intense "I understand everything about you" look that they give you. Airedales are special, they are intelligent in a way that only airedale owners understand. I sure hope Allie is doing well!
It must be getting dusty in here now my eyes are watering, my Airedale, Reese crossed over the rainbow bridge in 6,20,21. 11 years old. She left a hole in my heart that is everlasting. When I die l want too go where dogs go. This brought back fond memories of her. Vaya con Dios to all dogs. Thanks from.St. Paul Minnesota.
Thanks so much for sharing. Allie is amazing and wonderful. And so are you for keeping her all these years and loving her. Hard to watch without tearing up - but it was sure worth it ! Dogs are blessings and bring us so much unconditional love and companionship !
I grew up with Airedales and they are truly remarkable dogs, they are all individual as well but Allie is a star. This video brought back so many memories for me. I now have a Goldendoodle but Airedales are fab. God bless you Allie and your owners.
What a great story. Airedales are a great breed. Extremely tough dogs. Our Airedale has a higher pain tolerance than most humans I know! Best wishes and many more years to Allie!
She is beautiful!! I grew up with Airedales and they're beautiful dogs. I think you made the right decision and I can tell she's loved from watching her interactions with you. It is obvious she's a happy dog! Bless her!!
It is wonderful that Allie had a family like yours in her life so that she could spend many happy years despite what they said about the brain tumor. I am so sorry you lost her even before I "found" her here...but she still brings joy to others by being here so we could read about her life and the gift you both were to each other. Thank you for sharing her.
such a beautiful dog we adopted an airdale cross last year and he was 2 in january and is such a loving and happy dog. we live in spain and have a big garden he can run in. its the first airdale we have ever had and dont regret a moment of having him. hope allie is still going strong. :)
Great story! dales are our love breed. We are on our 4th. Recently lost our girl Zoe to heart valve but she made it 3 years after diagnosis and was just shy of 11 when she went to find her older brother Max who was our first dale. Best breed I have ever had.
As an Airedale owner for more than 20 years I know how brilliant these souls are. Allie is magnificent and so are you for giving her a wonderful life. God Bless
Allie is a beautiful dale..... and has such a loving family.... We have Jack...named after Jack Sparrow.... he is our sixth dale and fourth rescue dale. What a fantastic and inspirational video clip.
Wonderful story! I'm so glad she is doing well. I know the kinds of things that go with the diagnosis...my mother has been living with it for twenty years +. God bless you for having the wisdom not to put her down when others would have and God bless Allie too!
so beautiful 💕 God bless her and you, her family, for giving her such a happy life! you can tell she has such a beautiful soul and so much love to give. this video brought me to tears
hail too the terriers. I have a wire haired fox terrier ,and he'll be 10 years old this dec.2013. he sleeps with me everynight . I got him when he was 12 weeks old drove from port Clinton ohio to Indianapolis ind to get him. he's the best dog I've ever had . sorry to hear about your dog allie but happy you didn't put her down she deserves to live till the end . she is a happy dog obviously ,and I pray she doesn't have any more issues. good luck to you both ,and god bless allie
It's such a heart warming story to see you went against what they said and gave Allie a life that would have been cut short otherwise. I'm really happy for you and Allie and wish you both the best of luck for the future.
Thank you for sharing your story about Allie. My dog had same kind of experience. She had also stay with us till she was 18. We all miss her very much. Your video makes me think about how great she was to my family. Thank you!!

Aww...Thank you for sharing Allie's story. We had a kitty with a similar story. Our Vet was amazed to see him come year after year for check-ups. May the Lord bless you and your dear pet.

Hi there. Just seen your lovely clip about Allie. We lost our Airedale Barney to a brain tumour about a month ago and your video made us shed a tear or two. I just came across your video (10/12/17) and it brought tears to my eyes. I'm so glad you didn't listen to the vet and you got all those years together! She had a wonderful home and I am sorry for your loss. Did you ever get another Airedale?

It's with great sadness that I inform you of Allie's passing on Friday, March 13th 2015. She was a light in our lives and taught us many valuable lessons. My grandfather had passed away on a Friday the 13th many years ago. He loved Allie as much as we did and took it as a sign that he would be waiting for her on the other side.
I just wanted to thank everyone for all of your love and support for Allie and her story. I hope she knew how special she was to us all.

You were so cute
My dale will be 12 next week. He had a very rare form of cancer when he was 1. We could all learn lessons about courage and endurance from airedales.

Great story.
Great Age as for airedale. Mine had to be put to sleep because of cancer at almost 9 years old
