Upgraded from an iPhone XR to the P7P, and was initially worried it was too big a size to jump. However, I'm now used to it, and when I now try my partner's XR, that feels cramped!
Coming from a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, I kept my expectations low for the Pixel 7 Pro's fingerprint scanner. That being said, I've been EXTREMELY impressed with the P7P in this aspect. I get far fewer misreads than the S21 Ultra and, in my opinion, it works just as fast. Take into consideration that I only have to let the P7P scan my finger once most of the time compared to multiple times on the S21 Ultra, it actually works faster overall. The second thing I've been conscious of is the connectivity to 5G and Wi-Fi with the complaints about the previous Pixel 6 phones. I've had no issues here either. Handing off from one to the other has been seemless and I have experienced no dropping of signal whatsoever. So far, I've really enjoyed the move to the Google Pixel 7 Pro and Android 13. I definitely have far less issues with apps becoming slow or completely unresponsive with the P7P than I did with S21 Ultra. I would restart the Samsung several times a day, while I may have restarted the P7P twice in the week that I've had it. Overall, I absolutely love the phone and have not found a single thing to complain about. The last phone I felt this good about buying was the OnePlus 7 Pro and I actually kept it for 2 years. Before that would have been the HTC One M7. If I had to create a complaint for the sake of having one about the P7P, it would be waiting for 3rd party accessories to be released to the market. 🤷♂🤣
Went for the P7. The smaller form factor was the main purchase reason. Would be nice if I could retain the size and weight of the P5 that I traded in for the P7. The P5 was great but lacking in tech two years later.
I’m about to go buy one right now with it being marked down $100 off. I WISH they would make another 6” option as 6.3 is just a little nerve wracking to one-thumb the top of the screen. I’ve had a phone flip out of my hand and land face down on the cement from doing that before so I’m paranoid 😂
Good call, I've been running a regular P8 for about 4 months now, and am very happy with it. Battery life is better than expected, though it's clear I've been spoiled by Samsung's 45 watt charging on my old Note 10. Everything else is fantastic, I did not realize how much I loved Google 's closer to stock version of Android compared to Samsung's one UI. I do wish display quality were better on the base model. My hope is the OLED display on the pro version makes up for what I see as an inferior panel on the Google phone, even though it has 90 HZ scrolling. The 4-year-old Samsung panel just seems brighter and more vivid. And despite Google's claims, I find nothing remarkable about the peak brightness of the panel on the regular version. Enjoy your new phone in good health. 👍
one big criteria for me is also how the phone feels in the hand, pixel 7 feels really slippery in my hands while 7 pro has some grippiness to it. I like to use my devices naked in house, only using a cover for outside so I went with 7 pro. Good choice for me.
Went from P6 to P7. Not a huge upgrade but the subtle bugs and fixes make it a more tolerable experience. The $500 trade-in was too hard to pass considering I had the P6 at launch.
i can do the trade-in from 6 (which I got for $200+tax) to the 7 ($479 trade-in), for a total cost of around $65 after tax. Do you know if the screen is better and if the battery life is better or same? how about heat?
@@StefanUrkel woops, late response, but battery life is about the same if not better optimized. heat is something I don't think about unless I'm video recording long videos. there's already comparisons between the 6 and 7. The 7 does overheat marginally quicker when video recording, but probably not noticeable. the screen feels the same, despite it being smaller.
P7 if you want sweet spot of a phone, easy to hold, great camera, fast phone , brilliant for every task. P7p - larger to hold , great zoom, better screen. P7 for me
I got the 7 Pro. I did think about just getting the 7 and saving some cash, but ultimately I want to have this phone for a few years, and I wouldn't want to get say 1 year down the line and wish I had a telephoto lens etc. Delighted with my purchase. Battery life was a bit iffy for the first few days but it's improved quite a bit and I get to the end of the day without any issues.
Same and I kept the resolution at 1080p and changed the screen to Extra dim because I actually found it too bright with adaptive Brightness. I can get 2 full days of normal use out of it now
I opted to go for the Pixel 7 Pro, mainly for the nicer screen and bigger battery but also was interested in the 5x lens. However, ive found myself consistently disappointed with the 5x, the pictures arent sharp and the camera seems completely unable to hold focus for more than second. Disappointing. Not a deal breaker as I'm not a huge zoom-user myself but if thats the main reason anyone is looking to upgrade iI'd have second thoughts.
I have upgraded from the Pixel 6Pro to the 7Pro and am very satisfied and feel it's worth the change. My wife now has the 6Pro and she's happy with it.
Still an owner of pixel 2(!)-makes me proud in a way, although money has been the main reason for not upgrading at least every couple years. It still takes great photos and I'm doing good and pretty detailed photography work on it, with the help of apps of course. I'd expect to be very happy with the p7 alone and yet I find it so big if you're small handed and like to keep your phone in the pocket. Even considering a 6a at this point because I'd love a new phone and could save some bucks. If you DO take some macro-like shots every now and then I'd still recommend the p7. 50pixels means enough detail to be able to shoot from distance, zoom slightly and use an app for enhancements. Sure it doesn't make it easier but for anything more pro I d rather use a mirrorless camera.
I finally got a real hands on feel. They honestly feel the same in hand, they also feel like the same size. The phone is very narrow, I always felt for some reason in the videos the phones were a bit wider The screen is amazing to say the least. Even using the store demo version the 7 Pro was buggy. UA-cam would play whenever I closed the app. The miniature pop up would hang out at the top of the screen but I couldn't exit or enter the mini pop up. The speakers sound alright just high end tiny with highs but was alright with mids but not so much bass The cameras are great, but they don't shutter nicely shot by shot. I also tried the s22 ultra and 23 ultra and both were better with camera photography, especially on darker skinned subjects. The videos especially switching up angles and directions on the Samsungs had very smooth transitions The weight felt identical, very much so. But the s22 lineup did feel more premium. Android phones are getting a bit too narrow for my taste, and I like boxy/curved phones that have an iPhone boxy shape. So personal preference. The phone has a lot to do with feel and a 7 was originally my eye only but I am considering the pro. Only if it wasn't for the curved display. But the display itself isn't that noticeable unless you're looking for it directly. During touching and swiping I had no problems with gesture controls. All personal examinations, unfortunately their p7 was not working properly with booting issues and not being able to start up after being restarted for quite some time
Good video... I got the seven because of the flat screen and the size of the phone. The pro is just a little too heavy in the pocket. And yes of course the extra camera is on the 7 pro. Would be great to have but I just can't carry a brick in the seven size. Makes it much more manageable, but if you're a person that sits at a desk for work then the seven probe might be the deal. Either way, you'll be happy
I bought both. And an iPhone 14 Pro. Ended up keeping the 7 and selling the other 2. Love the size of the 7 but the camera on the 7 Pro is way better, as is the screen. There's no perfect phone. Unless Google throws a great telephoto and quad hd on their next non-pro flagship.
I'd say the P7 would be perfect. I think smaller phones are much more classier in appearance, and easier to hold. Of course I would learn to deal easy with a big phone. But the smaller, the better in my opinion.
@@dusanp5160 honestly it's really good but I want to go the extra mile and get 120hz and qhd if possible since I use my phone to watch movies (the 120hz is a nice to have, yes I know it's use is pretty much limited to scrolling lol)

I don't care what anybody say, But I haven't been so happy and satisfied with a phone 📱 since the first iphone which I stood for 2 day waiting in line and when I finally got the phone in my hands I was like I had a alien gadget in my hands, I've had almost Avery flagship in the market and this P7P has been the most smooth and easy to hold since my OnePlus 7 pro McLaren edition, But that's just me though.
I had both... The P7 battery life was terrible and I had it for almost 2 weeks. The Pro had better battery life. Maybe I had a defective item... But it would get hot just by watching UA-cam videos and it would drain the battery ridiculously quick. I charged it to 95% and just like the P6, within 15 minutes it dropped to 90% with very little usage. That's pretty quick. And that's cuz I had it set up on 60hz refresh rate, no WiFi scanning, LTE setting, and turned off other things that would drain the battery and STILL drained hella quick. I love the flat screen but it's only a tad smaller than the 7 Pro. The Pro only heated up while I would transfer my data. After that... It never heated up again. The P7 heated up all the time, with me just texting or calling someone. And it would stay heated up for hours. Not a great experience with the regular P7. So I'm sticking with the 7 Pro. I don't care about the telephoto camera, that's a bonus. I care about battery life. The fingerprint reader on the P7 is a little hesitant compared to the Pro. But I sent them both back because they both would not reconnect to my carrier service after leaving WiFi. Google was very helpful and told me that that's not supposed to happen. I sent both phones back to getting the Pro again. Gonna see how this goes. Maybe I'll switch again or I'll just stay with my 5a.

Excellent video brother. I have used the OnePlus 6t since 2018 October, want to get a android phone with a good camera and battery, would you suggest a OnePlus 10t or a Google pixel 7, I am keen to try the pixel, only if you suggest it over the one plus
the new pixels are cool and all but the regular 7 kinda sucks. the new tensor is basically the same as the old one and we don't even get the upgraded ultrawide. smaller battery too. will be keeping my 6 for a while
It actually benchmarks a lot better and even holds performance without throttling while logging lower temps in stress tests. I think the throttle perf was 30-35% higher while the regular benchmarks were upto 25% higher.
I hear you but I had to pixel 6 and traded and got the seven they were doing really good deals here in the states for a while. Didn't cost much. I can say the seven is definitely a better phone than the six. The screen brightness, fingerprint scanner, The face unlock, haptic feedback and the modem. Those four things are worth it to upgrade if you can get a deal.
I tried the pixel 7 pro for a week and was quite disappointed with the battery and the charging speed. I am deciding to return it . I have the pixel 6a and I liked that a lot .
In a word. NO. However, if you "timed" your old trade-in @ $490 for the regular Pixel 6 (not even the Pro model). It was a no brainer! Usually Goggle offers the best trade-in value 2~3 months during heavy promotion where they take a loss to gain wilder Pixel adoption. You're basically giving up your old phone and pay $300 for a brand new flagship phone.
The only difference between one in the other is the 7 got 2 cameras 8 gb of ram in 90 hzs. And the 7pro is got 3 cameras 12 gbs of ram an 120hz so they charge you $300 more for same thing twice more
My pixel 7 pro randomly scrolls slow for some reason. Any one else had this issue? Also heats up quite a bit when scrolling and watching stuff after about 10 minutes of use. Never had this issue on my P2 P4 or P5. Apart from that I'm happy with the phone.
You must have a defected phone, send it back and get a replacement, it should not heat up after onky 10 minutes of use ie video or gaming? Try a factory reset first though and if it still does it, get a replacement.
There's currently an issue where if you used the copy apps option while setting up the phone, it leads to cases like yours. So if you did so, reset and manually install the apps from gplay, it's worth the extra effort
@@animatrix1851 I installed everything fresh and still have this issue, even after resetting. I'm not sure what causes it. Keeping it on 60hz seems to help, but fuck that.

I'm also going to look at changing my carrier from Sprint to somebody else. Any suggestions on where to get the best price on the , Pixel 7 or Pro ? Thank you, John
I really wanted to update my Pixel 5, but three things bother me about this phone, first I think the size of the Pixel 5 is just perfect, second I think this camera bump is a little weird and third the slightly larger screen bezel at the bottom.
I have pixel 6 to be honest aim very disappointed since I had pixel 2 long time back and what phone it was, pixel 6 display is just bad, I am skeptical whether I should buy P7
Sorry for the lengthy delay, but yes. I have a regular pixel 8 with large hands that can palm a regulation basketball. The Pixel 7/ P8 are both extraordinarily comfortable to hold and use one-handed. Hope you are happy with the decision you made and things worked out well. Cheers! 🍺
It's a shame pixels still doesn't support 5G and VoLTE globally... I've been Nexus and Pixel owner for the last years but I'm seriously considering changing to Samsung because of this lack of support to technologies that should be available worldwide.

@@tebuzzer really? That's sad 😭
@@juancmoravergara yeah but still available for 4a and 5
Ive had the p7p for 3 days now and it feels way too big. Ive gotten used to smaller phones having the p5 for 2 years now. I exchanged for the p7. Gonna see how I like it when it comes in
Hi, now how you compare the P7 with the P5 size wise? Does it feel better than the P7P?
@@cbluis Its slightly taller length wise. It was an easy transition for me and is very comfortable to have in hand. The p7p was too much of a difference. If your like me the p7 would do just fine.
Would you upgrade from the Pixel 6 Pro to the 7 Pro considering the trade-in offer?
Yes, I got $440 tradein price for my Pixel 6 so it was a no brainer to move up to the Pixel 7
Yes! Best Buy was giving back $545 plus a $200 store credit so it was a no brainer! Not sure if that deal is still available though!
The Pixel 7 series is what the 6 should've been
I will stay with my pixel 6 the whole year !!! Don't need upgrade ,with for 8 people
I got a $500 value trade in from P6
I am switching from the note 10+ it's the first phone that has me finally wanting to switch from the best phone in a couple of years IMO.
I am using Not 10 too and now considering switching to P7. Think P7 size suits me better and way cheaper than P7 pro
@@chunyuehung9275 been using the pro for a while along side the normal one not gonna lie didn't think I would like the pro but 100% worth the money it's much better but if your not looking for top of the line then just go normal
I have reg 7. Love it. Great size, weight etc. The only issue I have is connectivity. It won't stay connected to carrier or wi-fi calling very well. And I am in an area where my cell signal is fine when my sim is in my iPhone 14 PM or Galaxy S22.
I sent my P7 back because of this.
I got the pixel 7 recently and the battery life seems horrible. Didn't like that you can't remove the Google search bar on home screen. Also found the Gboard to be horrible, not the autocorreft but the calibration seems off.
I still prefer to keep my Pixel 6a towards to 7 or pro due to the size and weight.
I'll wait until my contract is due for renewal. £146 is too much of my hard earned just for what is really just an evolution of the Pixel 6.
Could you make a full comparison of “should you buy pixel 7 or pixel 6”
My hands don't grow, so p7 for me lol
I think the regular 7 is the winner. A hell of a bang for 300 dollars less 🙂
where is it for 300
@@ohnooooooooooooooooo I meant $300 less. The regular is $600 the pro is $900 🙂
@@tonymarenno9568 damn I thought u found a crazy deal
@@ohnooooooooooooooooo historically they drop to about that level about a week before next pixel is out. I usually can't hold out that long 🙂 I think about a week before Pixel came out, Pixel 6 dropped to $299. I think this is an annual thing 🙂
I did the opposite :)
In a word.
Is that lemongrass color actually good in real life? and if you could pick one between Lemongrass and Obsidian, which one would it be?
Lemon grass
I got the snow one. I really like it
Good video but I found the background chimes horribly annoying
Thanks you for video
The only difference between one in the other is the 7 got 2 cameras 8 gb of ram in 90 hzs. And the 7pro is got 3 cameras 12 gbs of ram an 120hz so they charge you $300 more for same thing twice more
Pro has more battery.
From where can I buy pixel 7 pro model in hazel colour !?
Why is everything so damn big :( such depression coming from pixel 3.
Scrolls slow for me as well. And the back button doesn't always close out certain apps
Same experience on my part, the back button on the pixel 8 is quite unreliable...
How many hours should I charge my new google pixel 7 pro before first use?
A baker's dozen amount of hours.
I'm 70 year's old and have a old lg g8. Sprint has been telling me for quite awhile that my old phone won't work much longer on their system or something. I'm looking at either the Google Pixel 7 or pro version. I may go with just the 7 to save some money, unless I find a good discount savings. I'm also going to look at changing my carrier from Sprint to somebody else. Any suggestions on where to get the best price on the , Pixel 7 or Pro ? Thank you, John
I really wanted to update my Pixel 5, but three things bother me about this phone, first I think the size of the Pixel 5 is just perfect, second I think this camera bump is a little weird and third the slightly larger screen bezel at the bottom.
the fingerprint scanner on my Pixel 7 is terrible. it works correctly only 10% of the time.
Hopefully you exercised your warranty coverage, as this behavior is not typical. Best of luck, and cheers! 🐻
Sorry that's 🍺 , not bear emoji... 😆
Was würden sie empfehlen, das Pixel 6 pro oder Pixel 7
7 Pro all the way.
if only the pixel 7 pro didn't have a curved screen it would be a non-brainer.
Not keen on it's appearance. Looks bit blingy or like a compact makeup mirror from a handbag 👜 💄 prefer a more utilitarian, subdued design
I don't like the pixel cameras, they produce darker photos
My pixel 7 pro for some reason locked out at 60hz today
I have pixel 6 to be honest aim very disappointed since I had pixel 2 long time back and what phone it was, pixel 6 display is just bad, I am skeptical whether I should buy P7
Man if Sony had done more updates I'd get the Xperia 5 IV for sure
random comment...
They have updated that phone to Android 13 since December (AFAIK)
What if you have huge hands is the regular 7 comfortable in the hands
Sorry for the lengthy delay, but yes. I have a regular pixel 8 with large hands that can palm a regulation basketball. The Pixel 7/ P8 are both extraordinarily comfortable to hold and use one-handed. Hope you are happy with the decision you made and things worked out well. Cheers! 🍺
7:07 Oh please. It’s not even that much of body size difference. Google is just skimping on the battery.
Skimping at 5K ma/h?
Pixel 7 and pro... Which of the two to be tossed to the garbage first 🤥🤔
Tensor chip vs Snapdragons chip?
Everything I've read suggests visit the House of the Snapdragon.
🔥🔥🔥🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I think I'm getting the pixel 7 I might not spend all that money same thing
It's a shame pixels still doesn't support 5G and VoLTE globally... I've been Nexus and Pixel owner for the last years but I'm seriously considering changing to Samsung because of this lack of support to technologies that should be available worldwide.
choose pixel 6 pro
I wanted to buy a Pixel 7 until I found out it doesn't have a headphone jack for my Bose QuietComfort 20. What a bummer.
Headphone jack is essential to someone like me, so kindly ask here, "Would you please next time give a shot to the side edge of the phone to see if there is a headphone jack?"
@@westingkwok5242 Most modern phones have eschewed it.. you can get a USB to headphone jack connector though, or a pocket powered bluetooth receiver with headphone jack. Otherwise bluetooth headphones are your only choice I'm afraid.. I don't see this changing
Pixel 5 is the best

can't wait for a pixel fold
👍
Why are the filesizes of my pictures so small on my P7 ? They all seem to be about 2 Mb which is way smaller than my previous phones (ranging from 4 Mb to 8 Mb)
Are the quality good ?
You can enhance the images and that boosts the quality
Hey bro enjoying the videos,.
Is there anyway u can do your reviews from now on, with an American accent?
Its not the best experience watching and listening as an American.

Pixel pro hardware like modem 5g old version slow gpu cpu , ram speed , bluetooth old version all are let down , I prefer s22plus or ultra or even iPhone 14 pro
I traded in my old iPhone for a free Pixel 7.
I like it a lot. I have small hands, and I need only 1 camera anyway.
I'm very interested in the rumors of the miniature Pixel. I am currently using a pixel 3 to write this and love the small form factor. The phone disappears in the pocket without a case. Can @9to5Google or anyone else speak to the possibility of this phone release?
Loving my 7 hated my 6
