Nicholas Bourbaki, the math group, is also heavily influenced by alchemy and morphing certain elements with math as a base. I believe Tyler used the name because it represents the bishop morphing souls into something darker. Also, Keons is one of the bishops so he's not as much a god, but more the dark part of someone like all the bishops and Blurryface. That could still refer to a world without God or the disorder and worry about death when you are faithless though. And Clancy is not as much a part of Tyler, but more a character he created so that he could explore Dema. So it's like he's a copy or a shell for Tyler to explore Dema and Trench in. Now for Morph, the song is about running from darkness, that either being death or mental illness. But the two kind of go hand in hand when it comes to Twenty One Pilots. *There's no "above", or "under", or "around" it * Meaning there is no way to escape what he is running from. *For "above" is blind belief and "under" is sword to sleeve * Going above death is believing in God, believing there is something more that is larger than death and life. But with that also comes the fact that there's no proof for God and therefore it's blind belief. Under means that they'll take themselves out before darkness can get to them, aka committing suicide. A sword to sleeve there refers to a weapon that they should've put away, something they use to harm themselves and kill themselves but really shouldn't. *And "around" is scientific miracle, let's pick "above" and see* With around they mean escaping death but staying on the same plain. So basically teasing death in a way. I'm pretty sure with scientific miracle they mean healthcare and stuff like that, science helping you escape death by curing illness etc. *For if and when we go "above", the question still remains * *Are we still in love and is it possible we feel the same?* This is them saying even if they pick above and pick God, there's still worry whether they truly believe in God and therefore love him. Being in love could also refer to God not loving him back so basically him saying he puts blind belief in God but he doesn't receive care back, which in turn makes him question God more and love him less. *And that's when going "under" starts to take my wonder* Which brings us to them considering death because he can't see his belief in God helping him out and teasing death via scientific miracle won't keep him forever. One more thing, the heatless fire in Bandito refers to the neon. It's what the bishops use to keep the subjects interested. It resembles fire, draws attention, but in the end doesn't give them the warmth and life that fire does. It also refers to how neon is used in the gravestones in Necropolis. They are there to be admired but there's no soul, no fire, under it because the people are dead. Completely unrelated, but the cat is very cute.
It's amazing how one person, Tyler, managed to create such a complex thing and connect so many other things, references in the songs from many albums, all togheter to create this universe of trench, that is "just" a representation of his interior world

In "Nico and the Niners" He says "i'm flying from the fire, From Nico and the Niners" So when he says in "Bandito" "Begin with bullet now add fire to the proof" He is talking about the fire from Nico and the Niners. Also In the music video In Nico and the Niners Tyler is escaping through Under ground tunnels. As he say in "Bandito" "I could take the high road, but I know that I'm going low." He means that he is going through the tunnels to escape Nico. It also makes me wonder if Josh has already made it out, went to get more banditos to help Tyler escape from Nico. Because in Nico and the Niners Josh comes, with more banditos in through the same tunnel they exit out of at the end of the song. That's all I have made out for now. how has nobody pointed out that one of the major works of the Bourbaki Group was the attempt of a mathematical proof of God. "Ones and zeros, count to infinity" might be another reference from morph. I think this is relevant cuz they tried to find a logical reason for the existence of God. As we saw in the past, Tyler struggeled a lot with doubt in his believes.
Because that is a myth. The Bourbaki group never attempted to prove God mathematically, that was just a rumor on Reddit and no reliable source has stated it. In fact, the main members of the group were atheists.
Also how they introduced "ø" to math to represent the empty set, the "ø" in Twenty Øne Piløts was only added in Blurryface, where this all started (also on the album the name "Blurryface" is barred, the same way as the "FPE")

To back up the Blurryface is Nico, in the Jumpsuit music video Nico marks Tyler’s neck with black. Blurryface is represented with black hands and a black neck.
Nicolas Bourbaki, the group of 9 men that where behind the pseudonym, they discovered Null Set. If you don't know what Null Set is, it's a mathematical term the empty set or null set is the unique set having no elements (aka matter that the numbers make up) which makes it equal to 0. But instead of writing just 0 the created the symbol Ø. Nicolas Bourbaki is the Morph of Blurryface. Its a name/pseudonym/alias that the 9 Bishops, aka Nico and the Niners hide behind in DEMA. If you are a hardcore fan you will have realized that in the song Doubt, Tyler references what is to come, DEMA. "Gnawing on the bishops Claw away at the system Repeating simple phrases Someone holy insisted Want the mark he's made on my skin To mean something to me again" Repeating simple phrases-"East is Up" East is references from the which the group Nicolas Bourbaki chose to name themselves from: General Charles-Denis Bourbaki of the french Army of the East. In biblical references, the star that the wise men followed to meet baby Jesus, salvation and peace, was due East. If you turn the map from the website to due East, the district that "Clancy" aka Tyler was at is called "Reisdro." 'Reisdro' on the map is matched to the Blurryface album cover that translated to is " Temperature is dropping" from the song Doubt. There is a connection between Tyler's faith in God and over coming his mental issues. He created a place as a "defensive mechanism" that allowed him to deal with his feelings and get perspective: Basically what he says in Bandito. "I created this world To feel some control Destroy it if I want" When realizing if he put his faith into God he would find peace and over come basically his own self that was tearing him apart. Side note: I love anagramming and world play. In the song Bandito, it is said numerous times "Sahlo Folina." There isn't a translation that makes totally, but when you rearrange the letters, it becomes "All Ohio Fans." Being he is from Ohio, they are the true Banditos. When he was making his music for Vessel and Blurryface it was a cry for help that his original fans heard who supported him. This is why he said in an interview that it is used as a cry for help in Trench.
10:25 East is up relates back to the lyric "The sun will rise and we will try again" from Truce. The sun rises to in the East. Sun also is used in place of, or in tandem with, Son as heard in Taxi Cab "We're driving toward the morning Sun/Son, where all your blood is washed away and all you did will be undone".
As an addition to the morph - Nicolas bourbaki connection, the French group's most famous theory was the theory of "topology" (if the name isn't ironic enough) The theory states that all shapes and all matter is completely malleable that no matter how much effort you put into trying to "morph" one shape into another, all this matter remains the same; therefore nothing about it is truly different. This could support the "Nico tormenter" ideology such that even if Tyler morphs into a different character, he knows him, he's studied and legislated him for a decade. A form of aware but with ly because it's better) going back to dema, like in cut my lip "I keep on going back, even though it's ME (tyler, clancy, nico, lion, pet chetta, bandito, vulture and all the names he gives for himself) I abuse" hopefully it's a good support to your theory. I think "east is up" is about a rebelling, see: There's a letter by clancy on the Dema website saying "get out, the compass lies". A compass only shows that east is up, if you're using it wrong or if you choose to follow the non-obvious way, the one that's known as the right. And the map of Dema looks like a compass. Also in the beginning of Nico and the niners, the voice speaking backwards says "we will invide Dema and head true east, we are banditos" and the banditos are the rebels here, so maybe "east is up" is kind of a message like "don't believe Dema's lies, go by the rebellious way, don't follow their rules, join the banditos and follow the east side, get out". So "east is up" against the compass rules. . . (Sorry for any english mistakes, also sorry if I'm being very dumb and didn't notice)
But if that's what Tyler means, he could have picked any other directions, so maybe he choose east cause is where the sun rises, so it means new beginnings, new days, other opportunities, etc.
I think another big point is the fact that that Nico an TøP got big from failure and death, if it weren’t for the media capitalizing on their failures then they wouldn’t have been big. Sort of like Tyler, he capitalized on his failures, death and suicide and seems to feel bad about it (in levitate he says that he is a vulture) A vulture eats dead things to prosper (kind of like the band does, and Nico did AND the guy who accidentally killed the 21 pilots) HOLY GOD.

Nicholas Bourbaki, the math group, is also heavily influenced by alchemy and morphing certain elements with math as a base. I believe Tyler used the name because it represents the bishop morphing souls into something darker.
Also, Keons is one of the bishops so he's not as much a god, but more the dark part of someone like all the bishops and Blurryface. That could still refer to a world without God or the disorder and worry about death when you are faithless though.
And Clancy is not as much a part of Tyler, but more a character he created so that he could explore Dema. So it's like he's a copy or a shell for Tyler to explore Dema and Trench in.
Now for Morph, the song is about running from darkness, that either being death or mental illness. But the two kind of go hand in hand when it comes to Twenty One Pilots.

It resembles fire, draws attention, but in the end doesn't give them the warmth and life that fire does. It also refers to how neon is used in the gravestones in Necropolis. They are there to be admired but there's no soul, no fire, under it because the people are dead.

He means that he is going through the tunnels to escape Nico. It also makes me wonder if Josh has already made it out, went to get more banditos to help Tyler escape from Nico. how has nobody pointed out that one of the major works of the Bourbaki Group was the attempt of a mathematical proof of God. "Ones and zeros, count to infinity" might be another reference from morph. I think this is relevant cuz they tried to find a logical reason for the existence of God. As we saw in the past, Tyler struggeled a lot with doubt in his believes.
Because that is a myth. The Bourbaki group never attempted to prove God mathematically, that was just a rumor on Reddit and no reliable source has stated it. In fact, the main members of the group were atheists.

Also in the beginning of Nico and the niners, the voice speaking backwards says "we will invide Dema and head true east, we are banditos" and the banditos are the rebels here, so maybe "east is up" is kind of a message like "don't believe Dema's lies, go by the rebellious way, don't follow their rules, join the banditos and follow the east side, get out". So "east is up" against the compass rules.

I figured that when I heard jumpsuit, like he was referencing his career. "I'm lighter when I'm lower, I'm higher when I'm heavy. " Like when he's not okay his career does well but he's miserable "higher when I'm heavy" but when he's okay the music doesn't do so well "lighter when I'm lower"(this is for any artist) idk it was a thought but I'm like 90% sure he is referencing his career a lot in this album

Something I think you didn’t say, Nico tried to kill himself because he failed, tøp was a failure but didn’t try to kill himself so maybe that’s what Tyler is being challenged by Nico because he doesn’t want suicide to be happening so he’s like a copy but part of that copy was put into blurryface so you have Tyler and blurryface and they’re both Nico and failures but Tyler’s against Nico and blurryface because they go with suicidal thoughts and actions while Tyler tries to stop it. That’s the only thing I think your missing. Let me know if this makes sense because I have a hard time explaining things 😂

Have you ever noticed that josh is Tyler’s Guardian angel? No joke. In the heathens music video; josh helps him out, but fails. In the Heavydirtysoul music video; josh try’s to stop the car, bust fails(the car is serving bc it’s blurryface/nico driving and he can’t see the yellow lines). And finally in the Nico and the Niners music video, the levitate music video, and the jumpsuit music video; josh try’s to help Tyler out of dema, succeeds, then fails. That’s just something to think about but I don’t know how it connects to the album or any past songs
