I got to see him at Bean blossom many times but one time I remember he was on the master stage whatever they called not the main stage but where they had the lessons. He played Jerusalem ridge with just a guitar player backing them up and honest to God the crowd had their mouths open it just sounded like heaven
@alan sullivan oh don't misunderstand me I'm not doubting your grandfather's ability or whatever I never had a chance to hear him. I would just commenting that as far as bluegrass fiddlers go you know Kenny Baker number one maybe Vassar Clements number two Michael Cleveland's up there with with the good ones too but is his style just not as dramatic will say as as the two other guys I mentioned. But I enjoy them all don't get me wrong
