    At the end, the noisy side men are barely hanging on . Michaels playing is electrifying. He’s a monster, a dragon, you can see him rear up and devour the room especially towards the close of this song. The faces of the spectators and where the players are facing tell you where the power is . He can’t see that

      I was at the Pennyroyal Opry house in Fairview, Ohio watching a Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper show and he did just that. My friend Ron Vigue has it to this day as a souvenir. Mike borrowed a bow from the other act playing that night and kept right on going.

    In TX for my 56 yrs and many contests against the likes of Terry/Dale Morris, Saloman Bros, EJ Hopkins and too many more to list this is Back Up & Push. Rubber Dollie is slower with a bouncy beat. At least in US and TX too. Call em; what you like as long as you enjoy.

    I'm getting conflicting reports on the song title, so until I can confirm it myself, I have removed the title from the listing.

    • @sabrinacordell6290
      @sabrinacordell6290 6 років тому +1

      All you have to do to confirm it is listen to Gid Tanner and the like from the 1920's and 30's.

    • @sabrinacordell6290
      @sabrinacordell6290 6 років тому

      The two old songs sound a lot alike. It really is that simple.

    • @sabrinacordell6290
      @sabrinacordell6290 6 років тому

      Screw the damn conflicting reports. Back Up and Push is a gospel song covered by Bill Monroe and others. Rubber Dolly is a different song end of story.

      @alan sullivan Kenny Baker my all-time favorite fiddle player. I got to see him at Bean blossom many times but one time I remember he was on the master stage whatever they called not the main stage but where they had the lessons. He played Jerusalem ridge with just a guitar player backing them up and honest to God the crowd had their mouths open it just sounded like heaven

    • @brianszuch6774
      @brianszuch6774 3 роки тому

      @alan sullivan oh don't misunderstand me I'm not doubting your grandfather's ability or whatever I never had a chance to hear him. I would just commenting that as far as bluegrass fiddlers go you know Kenny Baker number one maybe Vassar Clements number two Michael Cleveland's up there with with the good ones too but is his style just not as dramatic will say as as the two other guys I mentioned. But I enjoy them all don't get me wrong

    Look up rubber dolly in u-tube and you will find that the tune you are playing is the same one here. Here in Canada this tune is called rubber dolly, not backup and push.
    I will post Back up And Push.
