What do you think about washing machines waste pipes Being plumbed into sink waste pipes. Is it better to have a straight out single waste from the washing machine. Great video your new sink set up looks great.
Hi Philip, yes it is always best to have a separate waste for the washing machine outlet if it is possible. Thanks for your kind comments about our new sink set up.
Bit extreme Al replacing the basin because Jan can't be bothered to clean the cob webs out, the cheek of it !!! Joking aside it all looks fantastic, very smart indeed.
Hello, thank you so much for this helpful video! Makes me feel like I can do it myself! I do have a question though, how do I know if I have high or low pressure? Is there a way to find out? Thank you!!
If you have a combi boiler it is high. If you have an F an E system open the cold basin tap and see if you can stop the flow with your thumb, if you can you have low pressure if you cant you have high.
Did you have to pay extra for the doggy seat between the basin and the window -- the Mo seat, where she can sit and watch you shave or look out the window? That was very thoughtful of you! But what about Jan, where will she sit watching you doing your ablutions?
Subscribed Thanks a lot 🙏 I've been stressing over, it seems complicated but you made it look easy hopefully I'll be able to do so, who am I kidding I'll surely mess it up 😅
This is my next job so, once again, very timely. I don’t understand the bit about the non-return valve on the hot though (when hot is low pressure, and cold is high pressure). Why is this needed?
Hello from California! Thanks for this great video. Question...what is the problem with the water supply lines touching the support inside your cabinet? I want to do this project but not sure I can do copper repiping that you did.
Don't you hate changing taps while to sink is still fixed in place, bloody awkward job? It's like trying to put your socks on while still wearing your shoes lol Oh, and if your box spanner needs an extra bit of length just pop the next size into the end of the first box spanner so it's then twice as long. Makes reaching up and under the sink a little easier.
Awwwww little Mo’s squeaky yawn was sooooo cute 😊❤️
Love this guy. What a sweet man! Wish he lived in my town
Ah thanks Pat, keep well all the best.
Brilliant video as always Al, thank you so much for taking the time to make this content which is a huge help 😁
My pleasure! Thanks for your kind comments.
Such an informative video and well documented. We’re looking to change our unit and have found this tutorial really helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Hi Al. Did you need any plumbers mate in the waste? Whenever I fit wastes they always leak if I only use the supplied washers!
No the rubber washers were of high quality, so all good, I do usually use it otherwise.
if you can then fit the waste the day before and use clear silicone , or they leak .

To stop mains water pushing back down the hot feed pipe and back into the cylinder.

You can always fix the pipes to the wooden cabinet to stop vibration. Use flexi pipes to connect the taps.
O, by the way me and Jan was in California 3 years ago, really liked it there.
Al, how will you deal with the gap between the basin and the tiles?
Either mastic or more than likely an edge trim.i

No problem julie, pleased you liked it.

Yes a good idea with the spanner . Hate changing taps.

It's even worse when all of the shut off valves are seized including the mains one 😤😤😤
Bad times.
*like would recemend*
Good kit.
