Her dad is so cute and has a smiley face. Given his age, I hope that he lives long enough to see her settled down.

People are judging cause he is 72 and she is 16 and I get it. He must have had her in his late fifties. And I feel so sad that she won’t get to be an adult with him around. Like 40 plus. Don’t judge people you don’t know what their life was like. He only has one kid maybe he couldn’t have kids and had a miracle. Maybe he simply didn’t want to or couldn’t it’s their choice. I never had a dad and seeing this breaks my heart. I would love to have him even if I was 16 and he was 72. I pray he gets to live until a 110 and is as healthy and mobile. I wish he doesn’t become sick and can still be active like that until that age. So his daughter can have more years with him.

My father was 81 when he died in 2013 while i was 16 at that time. He was a very healthy man for his age but God loved him more. If i know he will taken soon i would spent more time with him and do whatever things he likes..or even doesn't go to school and just hugged him whole day. I'm telling this because i can't stop crying while watching the whole video. Oksana's appa really reminds me of my late father. Sorry

That man's face is so sweet, I literally bawled my eyes out when he said to her be happy and that's all I need. What a sweet story!
Oksana, you can make good money with your drawing abilities so do your homework, find a good firm who do all kind of drawing work, tell them your story and how you want to spend more time with your ageing dad, and learn how to work without having to go to school.
They will teach you if you do a few hours of work for free, I guarantee it. You can do this! Everyone will feel for you after watching this, so in my opinion, quit soccer and follow your dreams while spending more time with your lovely dad. I wish you all the best!

Oh, finally some post-soviet koreans' story. But there is mistake at 2:39. They are not Koryoin, they are Sakhalin Koreans. Koryoin or Koryo-saram in Russia refers mostly to immigrants from that part of Korea, which is now North Korea. Sakhalin Koreans is a different story and most of them do not associate themselves with Koryoin. And they are mostly descendants of "South" Koreans (South in quotes, because at that time there was not any South Korea).

For a person of his age life at the Soviet era was quite good, at least better than in South Korea at the same time. I can tell as an Asian from Russia, there were no such things like racism and crime level was very low, and it’s a false stereotype that people back than were oppressed by Soviet regime. Yes of course the was no real freedom to express your thoughts but it’s worse now under Putin’s rule.

This episode was so nice. Her dad message at the end made me cry, what a nice dad he is, he is always smiling when he is with his daughter. It made me think of my dad, he is also around his age and even though I'm older than Oksana, I understand her concerns about wanting to spend time with his dad but I hope she continues playing soccer, she could do both later on!
They have such a nice bond, I will try to show more affection to my dad, I don't really show it often but since I was little all I wanted was to be a daughter he is proud of.

Jojo Jo don’t judge. You don’t know people’s story and what they have been through. Maybe his lifestyle didn’t allow him to settle and have kids. He also has one child and I think maybe it’s cause he wasn’t able to have kids and god showed him mercy at 56. Who knows ? I’m 28 and not married don’t even have a boyfriend. I don’t have kids not cause I can’t but I live a very hectic life. Don’t judge, you have no idea what people have to do. Also, he isn’t old enough to be her great grandfather. Unless you think everyone should have kids at 17.

If she has to go to an ordinary school, then she should try her best to study well too get good marks. I also understand that Oksana doesn't want to play soccer all her life, because she's a woman, she can't play soccer until she becomes old, no one wants to hire soccer player when the player is old, the manager will always choose the young players too. In my opinion, for her future the best is to study well in an ordinary school to get a normal job for a woman.

Seeing this reminds me of me and my dad. I came around when he was forty, but he was wise beyond his years (but had the sense of humor of a middle schooler lmao). He was much older than the other kids' parents, so he was unable to participate in some of the parent get-togethers. That was okay. Me and my dad would sometimes just go out to places to explore and talk about life and whatnot.
My dad died three months ago... I didn't even get to say goodbye to him. My last words to him were, "Good night, see ya later this morning." He died in his sleep a few hours later...
We were close. Different cultures (I grew up around Filipino people and food in southern California, my father was from the American Midwest). I still miss him.
If you are close to your parents, talk to them. You never know how much time you have left with the ones you love

I know it's all passion and dream but letter she will regret her decision of not pursuing football....at that age "obeying rules" really makes you grumpy and depressed....but it's really worth it.I want the dad to be a little bit strict..want him to show her the reality and the potential she really has in football .that dad is way too loving but you have to strict sometimes in order to love.....he can look up to the siblings dad as an example like how to prepare your kid for the future..

Yeah, but he's 72. Who knows how long he has. If I were her, if I didn't LOVE football and ended up spending my whole adolescence on it and my dad died when I was 25, I think I might regret that, especially seeing as how attached she is to him, plus it doesn't seem like she has any other family. Maybe she should take a year off, see if she misses it. You have to think about burn out as well. She should develop other parts of herself too. If she does quit or take a year off, she needs to have a plan; she should get really good grades, be serious about art to see if she loves it more than just a hobby, and yeah, be an adolescent and spend time with her dad.
