I totally agree Simon, I regret that, I don’t like this video much as I was still learning at this point, and it was laziness on my part to choose American adverts because they were easier to find. I did find some British ads (I grew up in England) but mixing them with American ads was stupid, I regret that. I could do a George Lucas on it someday (correct it) but as what happened to his work I could make it worse. Thanks for the feedback Simon 🙂

To me, the song is about consumerism, an obvious American trait and Modern Life is Rubbish is said to be in response to the band's contempt for everything American, then this ties in very well. For what it's worth, I really like the video.
If I didn't already know this song wasn't a single and that some of this footage was released after 93-94 I would've thought this was offical.
It’s a pure mocking laughfest of modernity. Possibly their most satirical, philosophical song. No wonder no one gets it.
Very good. But sadly the advert footage is almost entirely American. Using British adverts would have resulted in a more authentic feel.
