There not getting ahead of the conductor, in band there are 4 notes per measure, and not all instruments have the same thing. no matter what they have 4 notes in the measure, like sometimes someone CAN play just the 4 notes but other times 1 note in the measure can count as 4 beats for like trumpets!

Snare was sloppy no swing accents but rest of band was perfect!

Also they were rushing a lot in the beginning. But I can’t really blame them since they’re not as experienced
