Btw all these characters are German as u see most of their names are also German, the concept of a walled kingdom is also an inspiration from Germany. except for Mikasa, she's the only Japanese in this bcz of her mother. that's why they wanted to take her mom bcz of her 'rare race' (Asian), that's why a lot of this anime's soundtracks are also in German language. The architecture, names, and certain aspects of the story are inspired by German elements, the houses are also like old German houses. The writer 'Hajime Isayama' took great inspiration from Germany for this, the language is Japanese mainly bcz this anime was targeted for Japanese audience.
