"I Have a Story": Mone Waller's RVA Catapults - Greg McQuade / WTVR-TV (8/25/22)

A Charles City man is right on target when it comes to his hobby. In his latest “I Have a Story” Greg McQuade introduces us to the guy who travels around the globe making a name for himself in competitions - with a toy.
Mone Waller is an expert with a slingshot. Mone can hit tiny targets from great distances. Mone has traveled the world going head to head with some of the best shooters in England and Asia. This is no child’s play. Mone has started making custom slingshots as his full-time job. His hand crafted creations are gaining in popularity. Orders are coming in daily. Mone says slingshots are serious business but a top priority is having fun.

Mone buddy! I forgot to tell you this funny story in the lobby last night and probably already missed you guys today. It was a pleasure meeting you and your friends and hanging out. Long ago when we used marbles for ammo, my friend who I told you met Fred Bear the same way we met was at Toys R Us. He bought a LOT of marbles and the girl at the check out said “Big game huh?” And my friend said “No. Just rabbits and squirrels.”
