I remember when the perfectly "balanced" infinite stealth was in the game, i used the Malachite to completely "balance" every boss up until DoG

Yeah this weapon is very op obtained from Plaguebringer Goliath (literally post golem) Makes every boss until ml a joke and still pretty good in post ml.
PSA: You can ignore the Lunatic Cultist freeze with Warmth Potions from Permafrost, even in Death mode!

@@simit228 warmth potions gives you immunity to all freeze related debuffs to my knowledge, so yes. i know i used it for cryogen and storm weaver

Even though there is a weapon called the murasama
as a melee player forever and always and a mage for the mix up playthrough, this makes me happy because it means there's no obvious choice every single time thanks to a broken item

You should look into the plague staff too , it is a drop from plaguebringer goliath and it literally carried me up to devourer of gods. Its definitely not as op but its amazing for mage

1:00 I heard that more stealth generation = less damage per hit, so actually having like 1 or 2 Silent accessories and the rest as Menacing is a better idea

@@ChiloeYOMIH or its just made to be like that on purpose...? Also they ported to 1.4 early so ofc the current update wasnt perfect, they were under a lot of pressure from the community to release it early.
Mod development is hard, I don't think calamity is a super good mod either but I do know the amount of effort that goes into it

I was playing my first rogue play-through with stealth strikes only, and thought this weapon looked cool so i farmed it and accidentally ended up destroying every boss until polterghast lmao
the EoL 100000 damage stealth strikes go so hard

Just a reminder, faster stealth regen may result in lower damage stealth strikes. The longer stealth takes to charge, the more damage the resulting stealth strike will deal.
Of course, if you're fighting a boss, then you wouldn't care that much, would you?
Crystal vile shard is way more broken in calamity, this is not a joke, I swear, try it with early hardmode mage gear and it is actually insane.
this video is getting my hopes up for when i revisit rogue class, when i played it back in 2019 the class was basically ranged 2.0 since stealth strikes always had way less dps
check out the meteor fist (early rogue weapon) its stealth does insane damage, it seems to be somewhat inconsistent but it can oneshot king slime in revengence not including using rage/ adrenaline, where it is probably capable of (maybe) oneshoting wof
tracking disk melts through king slime as well

I wouldn’t call Malachite “early Hardmode” even in the context of Calamity. Maybe mid Hardmode since you still have to get through Plantera/Calamitas doppelgänger and Golem for it
I was thinking the same thing, honestly there should be a distinction between hardmode and post moonlord, malachite is a super late hardmode weapon, but is still before moonlord

malachite isnt early hardmode, its at least mid hardmode
plaguebringer isn’t an early hardmode boss, but i cant even imagine having this at that time in vanilla
So use pumpler until hardmode, beat queen slime and use blade staff to beat golem and PBG, use malachite until you get staff of the mechworm, then carry
multiclass users explaining why it's ok to just pick every unbalanced weapon

Pre plantera = Early hardmode
Pre golem = Mid hardmode
Post golem = Late Hardmode

I wouldn't call Plaguebringer Goliath "Early Hardmode". You have to beat Plantera for the Plague to start, which means it is firmly mid-Hardmode: between Plantera and Golem.

there is a new stealth strike glitch with the glove of recklessness and Empyrean armor. Sadly it only works on the utensil poker, executioners blade, and Hypothermia.

My first Rogue run was on Malice Mode with my brother. Suffice to say, I wasn't really having fun and was considering quitting all through hardmode.
And then I got the Malachite.

Very epic
One weapon that seems way more powerful than it should, is the Sulphurous Grabber.
It's a yoyo that's easily obtainable in pre-hardmode as star cannon against aquatic scourge exists, and I found it doing comparable, or even better, damage to weapons like the fallen paladin's hammer.
My guess is the bubble rings it spawns all hit separately, combine that with the weapon's already very high base damage and a yoyo bag, leads to insane dps.
In me and my friends' master malice for the worthy world, we were able to beat Fishron pre-mechs because he just melted so fast we could out-dps him, and when I fought Ravager I was able to take out his whole second phase in about 3 seconds. In Master Malice For The Worthy.
It's definitely broken.
The fact that you can get it right after plaugebringer goliath and it carries you all the way to polterghast is amazing! Too bad calamity devs are nerfing it, welp, let's use it while it's still perfectly balanced, quick! 1:25 plaguebringer Goliath is late hardmode, you fight it after golem but before ravager, duke fishron, cultist and deus.
early hardmode.
After Cryogen, Mechs, Cal clone, Plantera and Golem.
B4 Ravager, Duke, Aureus, Deus, EoL, Cultist and Moonlord.
Arguibly, you could even do Dragonfolly pre moonlord, with some balls of steel
Without even considering the post moonlord content...
And if you're changing classes in middle of the playthrough, you probably can beat Prime with obsidian armor, Abgail + Imp Staff.
Pretty crazy i would say.

When I've been playing Calamity with my boys (literally 1,5 weeka ago), I was the Rogue of the group and got that weapon with like, 4th attempt. I felt just SO overpowered. First of all, Malachite felt like an upgraded version of Spear of Justice (or whatever it was called) with it's fast homing wall-piercing projectiles. Second of all, when I saw 25-30k per stealth strike........yeah, I was both confused and felt like God amongst the living.
I really liked that weapon, but didn't want to abuse it so I won't lose my interest in exploring Calamity content (it was my first ever playthrought), so I changed it to some Moonlord weapon, I believe.
But literally 10 mins after I came back to our magic storage system, grabbed my kunai and said "That fucking thing deals more damage than (Moonlord smth), what the fuck?!"
I like that mod, gonna play it again with Boys in 4 years or so, hope it's gonna be complete by then :)

Another good weapon people are sleeping on is the forbidden oathblade
you can get it after your first mech boss and then it'll outmatch everything until you beat golem

If paired with fargo's soul mod: the adamantite enchantment makes it way more op
but playing with this mod you have way more to worry about
Try out stars above as a rogue, you get to the right point and you can make any weapon a rogue weapon, pair that with the Voice of the fallen, "perfectly balanced"
Not sure if it's in my game or just a glitch in general, but using the utensil poker with a glove of recklessness gives you infinite stealth and lets you do crazy amounts of damage post moon lord

Until now, I haven't seen any "perfectly balanced" mage weapon
its a shame I probably won't get to use this before it gets nerfed, since my friends and I's next playthrough isn't gonna be calamity (and we kinda slow lol), to the people who do get to use it though, have fun!

when i got it i instantly 6k dps with the right click on bigger bosses cause the explosion is so strong
Hmmm......I have Empyrean Armor, Abyssal Mirror, Glove of Precision, Vampiric Talisman, and Moonstone Crown all with Silent modifiers. However, I'm barely doing 6K damage for each rouge stealth strike that I do. How are you doing 25 - 30K? Whish you would have shown your loadout. Kinda feels like you are not showing us something :(
