  • Seven Days to the River Rhine (Russian: «Семь дней до реки Рейн) was a top-secret military simulation exercise developed in 1979 by the Warsaw Pact. The Plan would have seen Soviet, East German, & Polish Forces quickly Advance through the Relatively open terrain of the Fulda Gap, Rapidly Blitzing Infantry and Tanks Through the Strategically important region towards the West German City of Frankfurt, and the Rhein-Main Air Force base providing NATO Forces Air Cover. Due to the Cold War never going hot, and the Presence of Nuclear Weapons in the militaries of Both Sides, The plan never occured and its potential outcomes remain completely theoretical.

      If you were in NATO in the 80s/90s, you would know what's what. NATO loses and has to go nuclear.
      Prolly not much different today. UK has 40 Challenger tanks left. Germany maybe 120-180 Leo2... no artillery ammo left in NATO 😂

    • @imlivinginyourceiling
      @imlivinginyourceiling 9 місяців тому +1

      Up to about the 80's the WP would have probably just swamped NATO, but anything past that up to today? COOKED

    • @yourlocalt72
      @yourlocalt72 9 місяців тому +9

      USSR would give extremely hard time to NATO in a conventional war. Especially in 50s and 60s there was a quite a decent chance that they would overrun Germany completely
