For some reason i enjoy cold water kiting/foiling so much more than warm water. It just gives you that extra dopamine after a session. Sick video too, the editing feels like its getting better and better overtime and all the info is really useful!
Hi, I'm just curious about this. What's the advantage of the taller people on foil pumping to generate more speed compared to shorter guys? On pumping technique, will taller will benefit due to longer legs/limbs and leverage?
There isn't really an advantage, its all about technique which takes along time to get. So weight is a distinct disadvantage, so being tall might not help! Just a thought, good technique beats length of limbs anyday!
@@tomcourtkite Thanks for this helpful info. At first, I was thinking that taller(longer legs) can create more power to generate speed in foil pumping, just like when jumping, the longer legs you have, the further you can jump.
@@Jonpilo-uz1yf well, you may be right that long limbs might help, but it’s harder to get long limbs to not make mistakes… so I am it sure if that really gives an advantage or not. Theory v’s reality…
@@Alexi-ze4qg yes it’s a 1000cm front wing! I would say now that working down to the 800-600cn front wings is perfect for bigger waves in the newer wings
Have you tried the takuma 1440 you know the one with the ripple effect across the leading edge. Would be nice to know the difference. Pick up my takuma efoil next week for the wife. See you at Hurst 😃

@@Jonpilo-uz1yf yes in theory my help, but depends on the equipment too, you can only go as high as your mast is long…
@@tomcourtkite What do you mean in theory may help?

The weather seems nice for a day in Feb.
So nice!! We had some great weather early season
Nice one again Tom, I liked that you had a "slightly bigger one" ;-) way better with bigger as wifey says
Mate the wife’s love it when you compare foils 😂
Hey Tom,
More great content!
Maybe I missed it in the video. What size front wing is that?
Hey man, this is the 1000 spirit carve from fanatic and Ross is on the 950 Armstrong high aspect 🤟
Thanks. Looks very versatile. Shred on! 🤙
@@Kiter-rm3ry 🤟
thanks for sharing your setup. What is your weight?
95kgs!! Sorry for slow reply
what is your fanatic setup ? (size of the front wing and stab) thanks ! keep on doing great vid !
Hey, it’s the fanatic 1000 carve, it seems to be a super fun all round performer!!!
Stab is the standard small 215 I think
Hi, in 2:30 in the video I can see the wing is the Aero Free, are you sure is the carve? haha@@tomcourtkite
Me....trying to slow the video down to see how large that front foil is...? Does it say 1000?

I haven't actually tried them but I have heard good things... rode with someone using them in Fuerte and he was loving it!!
@@tomcourtkite if you see me in the summer ask to borrow it.
Boat is 220hp now semi displacement 26 knots it's a beast 😂
@@s2oooo sounds like summer setups are locked in!! 👌🫶
can you kitefoil on a pronefoil board
You can but it’s not ideal!!!
For some reason, you never mentioned the size of the wing, so what's the point of the video?
If you have any questions, then this is the place! 😂 it’s a 1000cm front wing. 82cm mast. 35L board… 🤟🤟
Wearing a helmet is another good advice 😉
Yea, always good advice!!!
Looks exactly like the place Sir Francis Drake landed in California. Very nice.
Lovely spot!!
