Can we talk about how on point the rhythm section is? Those guys didn't mess up once and they killed every song they probably practiced like twice a piece. Hell yeah
@@michaelcopps5683 this is just the starbucks version of blues. So much whiteness... and not in a good way. No Allman/Vaughan/Green whiteness. This is dacron, minivan, golf clap whiteness.
Outstanding guitarists + outstanding rhythm section = outstanding concert. Listening to the dynamics of these sensitive musicians is compelling. This show bears repeated listening.
Josh Smith, Ariel Posen, Kirk Fletcher, Matt Schofield, J.D Simo, Joey Landreth, Joe Bonammasa, Marcus King are my favourites and thanks to Natasha i can see em playing :)
Ariel Posen and the band put a nice laid back groove on the Lenny Kravitz tune with the killer slide work. Matt slays with anything he plays. Seth Rosen bloom Mr. Fletcher make their guitars talk.
Matt takes the cake(walk) ! ( I mean theyre all GREAT!!!!) ...I never liked classical guitar that much: so I wrote sambas and bossanovas...; I never liked jazz guitar that much; so I...well I play my strat copies with warm jazzy tones, I know bla bla bla, all these guitarists here are qualified Jazz ones, for shure..., they use more chords than some simple jazz standards..., cheerios, K : )
Ariel Posen, has the most unique style of any of these guys....Like it or not!...He plays his from his own playbook...DIFFERENT! This is the only way the blues is ever gonna get popular again....Easier said then done though...Bc as a blues purist myself, how do we top. or equal what the greats did in the past? I guess a little inovation and for the young ppl to have an outlet where there exposed to it....we shall see....
Wished Two Rock had filled us in on which amp each bluesman was using. Pedals? P/Us? Rarely does a boutique amp builder ever have anyone demo their amp models on an es335 and I always wonder why.
No competition pal, all great in their own right.........but I have to say Josh and Kirk are my favourites...distinctive styles and both absolute blues machines
@@adamberwick2644 listen to natural anthem, what is going on and el medio stomp by Kirk, amazing ….this is the video that introduced me to both josh and Kirk, can’t get enough of them now , ua-cam.com/video/KXJOiAhbSCE/v-deo.html
He's got a bit more of a "singer-songwriter" vibe going on than a beast guitarist who can sing some 12-bars in the set-list; but, there's a beast hiding inside him that I get the feeling is lurking in the shadows. The whole guitar tuned down to B standard is interesting. I haven't heard a whole lot of his stuff, but I get this really edgy "restrained" feeling from his playing … in the sense that there's always about to be a train-wreck around the corner with lots of dead bodies; I know that sounds weird, but kind of like Andy Summers playing live. He's not a "Blues Guitarist" per se, if you're expecting that, you won't get it … maybe he fits into a more "funky-folk-rock-blues" feel, like Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, etc. Having said all that, I'm hardly familiar with him myself, just seen him siting-in once or twice, and an interview on "that pedal show" … but, he's definitely got something going on.
Man does anyone have a more unique tone than Ariel Posen?

well that's Larry Carlton's son, so.... it's in the blood line ;-)
In flew in Robben Ford and Larry Carlton. "Grand theft" thematically speaking. The inclination of a jazz /blues Nation!
by far, the best part of this mess. This is Starbucks blues.
@@marchayes9920 Larry was a good rhythm guitarist when he was in the Showmen. That was his best sounding music, IMHO.

Travis is just a star!
And Matt has the pinnacle of great strat tone!
Seth's tone was phenomenal that night! Of course Matt's was as well but he was using the new sss two rock. Not his usual amp.
Nah Philip sayce
Is Matt using a Robert Cray signature Strat here ?
@@TheHumbuckerboy nah, he’s using a SVL with Mark Foley pickups
@@RichardLainegard Thanks for that info
what an incredible rhythm section supporting all these quality guitarists
Travis Carlton is a beast, he's the son of Larry Carlton.
and I can't remember the drummers name but he's amazing too. He plays with Johnny Stachela too.
Man, Seth is really coming into his own, becoming such a mature player!
Josh has so much variation and creativity in his playing.
It's like he is saying to us.
Just relax and enjoy the moment.
Kirk is sooo soulful. Can't wait to see him play live.
Wow! Thanks for posting this! Excellent music, so well videoed!
My goodness !!!! Felt all that blimey guys
Josh Smith, Ariel Posen, Kirk Fletcher, Matt Schofield, J.D Simo, Joey Landreth, Joe Bonammasa, Marcus King are my favourites and thanks to Natasha i can see em playing :)

Add Erick Gales to the list
Add Greg Koch and you have everyone covered :)

These are some of if not the best live footage videos up on UA-cam, excellent job 👌👌
these guitarist are great ......with this rythmn section they had it easy!
Wow!!. First song, and every one else are left in the dust...
Most impressive thing I've ever heard...
I'm a huge fan of all these guys. All different and great. But Kirk was killing me here and his reverb tone sounded so good!
Best modern blues channel on whole internet! Cheers from Chile!
Had the pleasure to see Matt in the Netherlands! Culemborg Blues he nailed that! Looking forward seeing him again for sure!
SETH had a GREAT performance there!
What a treat! Thank you so much for sharing!
Damn Kirk was on Fire!!!
Seeing kirk play all over LA, is LA the spot for blues? I think I may move to LA now...
Josh is insane.
Man did this make me feel good.
Great job Natasha, thanks for sharing.
Great content
Phenomenal footage - as always, thanks so much...
love the jam session!
How have I missed this until now? Well, UA-cam is a big place.... thanks as always to unsurpassed videographer 1anitras
KIRK FLETCHER!!!
Matt is putting it down as well 🤙🍀🎶
I love that penance tune , good stuff, has a Pink Floyd feel to it in some parts
kirk fletcher is a modern bb king
Kirk!
I watch his channel all the time but rarely watch live videos.
Why?
I have no freaking idea
Love to see him with Simo.....
I’ve seen that bass player everywhere, he plays with all of them . He was in the blues cruise with Marcus
Larry Carlton's son Travis.
Smokin!
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Masterful phrasing, all around. However, the minor pentatonic is such an exhausted approach. Nice to hear some bebop from Ariel Posen and Josh Smith.
Ariel = king.

😮🎸😲🎵👏🏻
Best tone I've heard from Josh. He needs to switch to Two Rock amps!
A born leader.
The meter was at 287 to 1 when I watched. I have yet to find another music video with such a high ratio of positives to negitives.

The wall of Two-Rocks back there is insane. Really not helping my GAS for one...
I like the comment. " I have no fucking idea "
And one person doesn't seem to like this. Really?
Josh has way more versatility and skill💯💥🔥 hate it if u want...

Great! Matt is on fire. But I can't dig Ariel Posen, sorry.

Some stunning musicianship on show here....but someone please tell Kirk to just concentrate on the guitar and forget about singing!
